easiest way to clean a pc aio radiator without removing from cpu
also did a before and after benchmark on the cpu temps
this radiator has not been cleaned in a year so it was very long over due and the results show!

I just use a small blower. Same ones that are used for car engines/leaf blowing.
Works pretty well.
I take my cpu outside and use the blower on it directly and it cleans the entire thing. Been doing it since 2019 and haven’t faced a single problem.

Big tip, if you're gonna clean anything with water, always use distilled water. Contaminants in tap water or even purified water could lead to erosion. Even worse if used on electronics as certain contaminants are conductive and can hold a charge. Obviously using it on a heat sink and fans should be safe but something to keep in mind. If you don't trust water, use 97%+ Isopropyl Alcohol.

Hi! In near future I am going to clean my aio but distilled water is not easy to get in my city, are you sure 99% Isopropyl will not damage my aio or something? (ofc i will use very very small about of it and be careful)

thanks for this video its been extremally helpful. when searching for a way to clean all i kept getting was how to flush the pump, aio placement, or fully removing the system for cleaning, i wasnt sure if i could keep the system intact like this or not.

Dude, this is an amazing "how to" video. Not only do I know how to do it without taking the AIO out, but I realized mine is not all that bad 😅. I can hold off for a while if yours was running with that gunk after a year.

You'll often find that dust only really hurts your temps by 3C most of the time. If it's gotten to the point where your temps are becoming unfathomably terrible or you're running into actual overheating issues.. then that's your cheapest "repair" to your problem.

Yeah that's a super safe way to do it I take my pc outside put it in the car and hang the radiator out the window so I can pressure wash it 😉

how do you not destroy the grille in there with a pressurewasher haha. I handle rads at work all the time and if u pick it up the wrong way you're damaging the grille

What case is yours in? Usually which ever end your fans are on the radiator screws will be on the opposite side. So my lian li case I take off the back door on the case and then the screws will be accessible

It can but 90+ there is probably more than just dirty maybe it’s not seating down all the way on the cpu maybe the fan direction is not optimal maybe not enough thermal paste maybe over time it’s lost some water inside so it’s not cooling that well
