Introducing the newest 2023 Disney remake. The Lion King - Reborn.
Yes, this is a fan trailer (or a concept trailer). Fan trailers are often misunderstood. These videos transform existing footage through the use of editing, professional voice artists, and heavy effects work (in After Effects).
These videos take many weeks of editing to create. I take existing content and transform it into an entirely original fictional film. Unfortunately that this movie WON'T be coming to a cinema anytime soon.
The original Lion King starred Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Whoopi Goldberg, James L Jones and Jeremy Irons in their iconic vocal roles.
This video was a lot of fun to make. As is the case with a lot of my content, I made this video BEFORE the official Lion King remake was announced. This video has some of my most difficult effects work to date. The shots of Pride Rock were 2D images created in Photoshop merged with live footage. I was really happy with the way this one turned out.

Well, I was watching it and thinking that you did a really great job making a fake trailer. Slight over-use on Aslan, but I suppose Lion footage like that is difficult to find. Great work! Almost believable!

I don't blame most people for. and the Cgi you put out for this is Steller.Its shows me that you put your heart out for this, and you want this to be seen and respected as a fan film. The title convinces me otherwise. I'm only saying this because something of this high calibur of quality content shouldn't have a click baity title. And I see where you where going with, and correct me if I'm wrong, that you did not want for this to not fail, and I understand completely . To be honest in my opinion your videos would get more appreciation and praise if the titles said it was a fan movie, from a view points. If Disney DOES decide to do a lion king remake (animated or otherwise) PLEASE get Liam Neeson (aka Aslan from Narnia and Bad Cop from the lego movie) to voice either Scar or Mufasa. Just imagine how awesome either of them would sound with his voice. Sure, James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons were awesome in the original and would be awesome again, but if either of them aren't available, get Neeson to do it.

I think there are two ways a live-action Lion King movie could bring something fresh and interesting. The first way is taking the Maleficent route and delving into Scar's backstory, which is something fans have been wanting more of for years. The other idea is one I think is more exciting and could potentially be a very important movie: an adaptation of the Broadway musical (minus most of the songs though probably) with an all-human cast, centered around a fictional prosperous African nation.
I just think recreating the original beat for beat but with fancy CGI would be kinda boring, especially with no onscreen human actors.
They should do a remake of the little mermaid too 😃

I love the Lion King and it is considered one of the greatest and most fan favorite long running and most loved of fan favorite Disney movies of all times because i love lions and all the animals. I'm glad that Disney had rights for animals to people that they will be loved.
