I was waiting for Bublik dugong the video
Howdy how about the next one to iift a few more trophy with his teacher Vamous )20yrs I have tp work on my spelling I wish our Canadian tennìs stars would show their grit Big match coming Take care Duke 😂❤
why was monfils’ rally recorded in 4p
The fact that Monfils not only does a 360 smash but also lets the ball bounce between his feet is pretty wild.
That Cuevas fake against Tsitsipas is the greatest shot ever hit
Paradorn is underated. Man was the doing splits before Djokovic.
how amazing it is that Carlos did that volley on this signature pass from Nole
coz novak is aged now bro! chill. Novak will come back stronger anyhow!
@@avinashrockstar what a moronic comment...immediatly when on of the big 3 loose the excuses flow and flow...wtf does djokovic s aging have to do with carlito s volleys ? are you braindead ?
All great shots! Djokovic's stretching skills, Federer's artistry, Monfils' entertainment!
really cool to see atp trying new filming techniques like recording monfil’s match with the backup camera of a 2009 toyota yaris
Every CZcams tutorial: 'The Forehand slice isn't an AtTaKiNg ShOt!"
Roger Federer be like: 'LOL!'
It kinda annoys me when people say slice and drive are opposites. Slice is the opposite of topspin and the opposite of a drive is a soft shot. You can drive slices as hard as topspin shots but it often leaves you no margin. You can also hit soft topspin shots and even topspin dropshots, though the latter won't win you much once the surprise wears off.
7:16 I can’t even see the ball lol
That Haase/Gasquet rally was 🔥👌
LONGA SHOT EN LA CASA PAPAAAA 🙌🙌❤❤
Doing a good job with the videos these days, Tennis TV. Thank you 👏🏽👍🏽
Federer's "slice forehand drive" feels very much like a badminton shot.
Should have included the tomic forehand dropshot. Also Paradorn is sensational it sucks injuries derailed his career
Literally half of these were already in the other video
All these tweeners are pure magic, in itself. Bright thread 😮
that shot from Hasse is very interesting
Neither Novak or Roger's shots are that unique, rare but not invented ... Cuevas on the other hand with the smash drop shot!
Name one other player that consistently hits sliding backhand winner
@@jeremyneiderhoff only sinner now is starting to hit them especially on grass
@@jeremyneiderhoffjust because he consistently hits it doesn’t mean he invented it because that implies he was the first ever person to hit that shot. It’s more reasonable to say djokovic perfected that shot not invented it.
@@luc7054 Yes he has and the person to inspire the sliding backhand shot is Djokovic. Correct me if I'm wrong, I have not seen any player before Djokovic consistently hit sliding backhands. He has made it his own specialty shot and anyone mentioning sliding backhands will attribute that shot to him. All the new guys such as Sinner take inspiration from him to learn that technique. It's the same way how Cristiano Ronaldo hits freekicks with knuckle-ball technique which people attribute to him as an innovator of the skill which others have taken inspiration from to emulate his way of taking freekicks.
@@catalyst2155Sliding two-handers. Sliding one-handers have regularly come off Federer's racquet, probably among others. And wasn't Nadal pretty good at sliding backhands even in ca. 2008? I remember he hit some great ones in that Wimbledon final and also a monster against Djokovic in Montreal.
how does a sliding backhand count as "inventing a new shot"? He's just sliding and performing a backhand....I mean that's what happens countless times in ANY gravel match; sliding and executing shots?
Federer definitely did not "invent" the driving forehand slice, that has been around for a very long time. He was probably the first to use it effectively, however.
Cuevas, el mago!
Djokovic did the sliding backhand pass against Alcaraz in the final game of Wimbledon, but somehow Alcaraz got to it with a equally amazing volley. I think that point gave him the edge
4:49 This behind the back shot is super rare but there's a famous highlight from 2006 of Gaël Monfils hitting it against World No. 4 Ivan Ljubicic as a teenager. He also went on to win the match.
Wow 😮 amazing inventory 😮
BUBLIK: that's a new shot?
Man I miss haase
Federer not invented the forehand slice
I don't think Djokovic nor Federer invented anything. They are just great talent.
It depends how broadly you define shots. In a sense every single shot ever hit is unique in its exact shape, so all shots are new, and in another sense all shots are separated only by degrees of what moves how much, so none is entirely new.
But here are some shots I think you won't see from (m)any players other than Federer:
-inside-out one-handed backhand drive with your back to the court (against Dodig? "Yes, I know I'm the greatest.")
-behind-the-head lob (exho against Rafa)
-fake drop volley moonball onto the baseline (AO 2017 SF)
-Jump forehand smash pass off a smash while moving diagonally back from the net (Against Roddick in 2002)
-on-the-run shoulder-height one-handed flick drive crosscourt backhand (Wimbledon SF 2015)
wow, the more we see of djokovic, the more of a legend he appears now
Not sure you can say Federer invented the forehand slice.
they never said that...
@@pikachude5490 The title of the video does imply that the players on display invented new shots. Clearly not the case. with a forehand slice....
Where are Bublik's winners with his racket handle?
Part 1
Federer one is thr most beautiful shot ever.
Where the hell is the banana shop by Rafael Nadal, he is the one and the last to shop like a curve shot.
Part 1
Well I already pointed out in the Pt 1 video that in the 1990s the running banana forehand was a Pete Sampras signature shot. So clearly Nadal could not have invented it.
banana shot be like 🤔🤔🤔
Is that De Niro or Tony Bennett at 5:12?
Reverse flick lo hizo Gaudio primero
What’s fun about these is they’re drawing on multiple generations of tennis. It’s fun to compare the styles of tennis over the years. I used to love watching Tommy Haas, was delighted to see him in the lovely Monfils clip.
How is a passing shot cross court an invented play???? Lol. Regular move.
sliding passing shot dude!!!!! you got concentration problem like most of the youngsters today
Yeah the backhand is a new shot🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
if I tried the Paradorn shot, I would 100% give myself a hernia.
Wow!!!!!
Why magic
Novak's not an invention. Others do it also
Novak Djokovic = 30 grand slam titles 2026!
meatriding is insane
TOP
Seriously? Cross court sliding backhand pass? That shots probably been done hundreds of times by hundreds of other players, long before Novax came along. Just an excuse to have him in the video because everyone knows he is the most boring player to watch with no unique shots, bland game
duuuuh
He is the only player to do it on all surfaces. Though they didn't showcase that very well in this video. Most people can only do it on clay.
Ich bin beeindruckt von Ihrem Talent!🍒
