- Hardcore Marvel fans will find a lot to love in Ultimate Alliance 3, straddling as it does the many eras of Marvel's history so well. For everyone else, Ultimate Alliance 3 is an entertaining and extremely fun game that is best experienced with others.

I couldn't disagree more about solo play. Solo isn't shallow at all. Set stuff up and micro manage the hell out of the battlefield. Load up on iso so you can chew through stagger gauges, then switch to someone else loaded up with master iso or bonus stagger damage iso Enemies melt. Ult with one character then switch while the enemies are stuck to charge up a super slow ability on someone else for huge damage. Solo play is so much more complex. It's more like battlefield and resource management.

Been having a lot of fun. Just a great pick up and play game like diablo or something in that vein. It's also surprisingly hard which is nice

I actually kinda of disagree with this review. It's much better than he described in my opinion. Also I think the game is much much better playing solo. And there are more than 2 moves as he stated in this video. Each character actually has 7 individual moves which is one light attack, one heavy attack, 4 special abilities and their ultimate ability that can be combined with your teamates. Furthermore, even though the story itself is not that long, the grind to beat it can take quite a while. That's why there are the infinite trials. So the game is pretty deep and well worth $60. I'm not a big marvel fan either and I am more excited about Fire Emblem but I'm really glad I snagged this title right before.
Good score. But I am tired of people Complaining that a Game is Accessible. The combat is not simple, its Accessible. if it was simple you would be able to just button mash your way through the game and You will meet a brutal Death if try that in this game. The combat has depth amd and strategy

I love this game. Never have I spent so much time playing on the switch. Glad I didn't sell the console. ACG said buy I buy. Nothing else matters

Hope it sells well already top 1 on eshop but i need a sequal in MY HANDS RN. Btw the datamining and future dlc characters,story,and modes also free costume updates look too promising to pass UP.
I just got a switch and love it.. it's alot better then I imaginesd it is less gimmicky then the wii or wii I u in my op. The hardware is just right to so what nintendo needs to do games like Zelda BOW, Mario Oddessy, Smash, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and thw new Pokemon game in November make it a must have in my op the games are just to fun and you can find them used for 200-250 now :)

This game is incredibly fun, with no bloat to get in the way; it's pure gameplay bliss. I'm just about to start my second run on the story on Superior difficulty. Can't wait to get Cap fully leveled up.

@@gentlemani9150 New Game Plus isn't an actual mode in this game. Once you complete the story on a certain difficulty it unlocks the next hardest tier, then you can replay the story on that setting. But you can also replay any story chapter from any previous difficulty at any time you choose.
@@Thrashman138 then, how many difficulty tiers are in the game? I believe if you only unlock 1 after the regular modes, that will be it right?
Everything from the older games does feel somewhat intertwined with loads of new stuff. The cutscene skip was awesome and much needed. I think solo play was fine. Sure it may not be for everyone but it is not meant to be for everyone. The hints from different comics and shows would only be know by those who have seen them.

JracoMeter or gains the power cosmic. Which admittedly wouldn’t make sense. I genuinely think it may be galactus, he would be a semi perfect villain to use for the fourth game.

Me too but some of the later bosses may require a human companion
I do enjoy playing the game solo and with co-op but the problem i am having is that when i am playing with friends i can't the control where the camera goes so i sometimes end up having the like behind a wall or the camera is very zoomed out and I can't see myself this happened to me when all of my teammates were down

No offence. But there were ALOT more 6-7 scores, that list is extremely biased.
This coming from someone who thinks the game is great and would gladly rate it 8/8.5
PS3/xbox360 generation is turning out to be my fave era of gaming.
Looks like a good one for some couch co-op. I've been missing games like this with a more old fashioned approach.

Or maybe you're a casual marvel fan who likes beat em ups and nobody does beat em ups anymore (except pretty bad ones in the indie sphere). It's funny how almost all franchise games reviews have the "If you're a fan you'll love it, if you're not, probably not" line. It's the equivalent of saying "Go watch Star Wars if you like Sci-fi, if you don't maybe don't go".
If you're a real marvel fan buy this game it's pure simple fun

1 convinced me to start reading the comics, so it was pretty comic book heavy..but this one, as I agree with another, is better than 2.

Would’ve lent itself for co-op better if all the characters leveled up together including the ones not in play. I’ve now had several people that wanted to play characters that hadn’t been touched since the beginning of the game but couldnt cuz they were so under-leveled. And those xp cubes only help a small amount.
That's why you train them up in Infinity or use the XP cubes
Cole Cash that’s what I’ve started doing but you shouldn’t have to since that still takes a while even with xp cubes and there really wouldnt be any negative consequence for having them all universally level. Friends and family would be able to hop in at any time and choose whomever they wanted.
@@proteamdirector yeah XP cubes arnt helpful past the teens. Level 20 and up it take like a million of them just to go up a level or two
Just play it on Friendly difficulty to compensate for lower leveled characters.

Grind your character's levels up by replaying earlier chapters and then come back to it and try it again when your team is stronger. That's how I beat him. 😶
Looks more like an 6 or 7 out of 10. Until more dlc updates with more patches and content to improve the game.
Edit: Played it and I enjoyed playing the previous two MUAs more. This game does the bare minimum and I hate the direction they went with it.

Forgot to cover the disappointing camera honestly that's the biggest flaw of the game especially in co-op. Should be a seven out of 10 due to the hit of that
1000% agree. The simplicity and coop is great, but is canceled out when I can't see/hit enemies

@@charlescc58 yes I know, but sometimes the corridors are small and it makes the camera turn slow/get stuck. And since I play on whatever the hard mode is, not being able to see enemies for even a second can be very punishing sometimes
