Truly a pleasure to train with you. Thank you again!! Hope to roll again soon
Thank you for being a good partner!b. More to come!
As a new white belt, I've gotten more out of your videos than the 3 months I've been training. Thank you for your explanations, they definitely put things into perspective.
Well that is great to hear. It inspires me to keep making videos. Thank you
That's a great crowd for an open mat Saturday
It's a big school! We also have a GI open mat on Sunday. Much more subdued. lol
I have learned and continue to learn so much from your Videos. From it I’ve developed a butterfly focused guard game which I’ve really enjoyed basing off of your game. Thank you as always
That's great to hear! I learned it from Marcelo Garcia. I remember when I first tried using it live. I got passed in 2 seconds. haha. It requires a lot of refinement but once you get it. It's fun as hell.
these are some of my favorite videos on youtube, hi from brazil
Thank you Luke! Greeting Brazil aka the motherland!
Is it normal etiquette to ask for a flow-roll in open mat ? Never done open mat sessions.
Sure. Especially if you know the person
weekend brew 🤘
Thank you Chris! I appreciate it!
You look like a cool dude and I enjoy your videos. As an older guy (45), I would really love to train again (did bjj for 1,5 years). However, I'm 1 year out of an acl surgery (not related to bjj) and am very fearful of all the leg locks etc causing a reinjury. Plus, though I'm in good shape, I wonder if bjj will take a toll on my body as I grow older, so if the rewards surpass the risks. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Thank you! If you are worried about leg locks simply tell your partner you had knee surgery and please don't do any heel hooks. As for risk to reward. You can roll without getting injured if you go nice and easy. Especially since you have a base already. It won't be your first rodeo.
@@Jitsover50 Thank you!
Enjoy your coffee! Nate, 45, fresh blue belt, UK. 🙏🏼
Thank you Nate! I appreciate you!
Congrats on the Blue belt!
