Chrome consume alot of RAM & Resources.
Yeah -1 Chromosome uses a lot. Opera GX is much better imo. Had used Chromosome a while but Opra GX has VPN, ads block, ram n cpu limiter build in. As well as an video over game feature. Overall a very good browser (and oh yeah, also moved from google to duckduckgo for extra privacy)

I once used add/remove programs to delete Internet Explorer and then went through its file system deleting everything I could, one piece at a time, and corrupted all of the folders by changing their base settings. As long as I had that computer, every time something would try to access Internet Explorer, it would just get stuck and have to be closed via task manager.

is ram really an issue nowadays though? Chrome does use a lot of ram, but if you're running the norm of 16gb nowadays, you should be fine. I can run WoW, FF14, chrome(streaming) and a sitewhile getting info from a site like wowhead and still have ram to spare. My processor wants to murder me, but my ram is fine.

@@carter2865 chrome is second fastest after firefox, that chrome is doing better. But firefox lately has a lot of crashes when it releases new update. Yes chrome uses a little bit more ram, but thats why it actually works faster. If it would use like 10mb of ram, you would download the page faster than you open it. I have 4 tabs on chrome open now, 300mb of ram, and 3 pages on edge open, 275 mb of ram.
But now, the updated edge is actually faster than chrome because chrome has a lot more ADSS

The two reasons to use Edge:
- to download a proper browser
- to check if the internet connection is working, if other systems have issues.
Exactly! When I have login problems or similar (possibly due to cookies or internet connection), I always use Edge to see if it is Chrome specific.
to be more accurate, chrome should rapidly turn so fat it takes up the entire couch, leaving the user barely any space to sit. Then proceeds to download firefox (britt), and all is well again.
And then when firefox starts crushing like 7 times out of 10, you immediately look for sth else to switch to. That's when opera comes in handy. Never failed me even once.

It's kind of the same feeling when you're downloading an iso file of an operating system that you want to run instead of the one you're downloading it with.

If you get into problems/difficulties, you'll usually need to google, search in manuals, or go on forums for help.
Sometimes things on Linux are as easy as Windows & OS X, othertimes it's a complete hassle.
A personal example from me would be holding broken packages. If you've heard of that.
Or having issues with dependencies. (Packages that are needed in order to install other packages and a lot of the times don't get resolved on their own.)
At some occassions I had to compile software myself. Which can be a matter of a couple of few terminal bash commands, or a complete hassle on its own.
I'm actually using the new Chromium-based Edge to watch this vid. It's pretty good, hasn't let me down yet.
