I can't agree. My older brother has a pregnant belly from meds and bad eating habits, bloated face and all that, average height for a mid European and he has a hot girlfriend. His job isn't even that well paid and still.
It definitely isn't all about looks, there are plenty of arguably mediocre guys I've met with pretty girlfriends in meaningful relationships while other tall, handsome dudes are alone. The big difference that I have noticed is that the latter often don't go out of their way to create and seek relationships while the first do. The best advice I can give to you guys is to try and have a good friend circle.
I've tried dating apps, they're only good for hookups. All of my long term relationships (3) have been because of meeting the woman through my friend group.
And even if you don't succeed, friends are good to have regardless.

There’s nothing wrong with socializing, I do it regularly, and enjoy it, it’s just after the unexpected suicide of one of my closest friends that made me realize that some kind of purpose outside of people is necessary for long term stability.
My purpose outside of people is simply creative expression, just go and make something, anything. Your purpose doesn’t need to be complicated. Something as simple as installing floorboards has become enjoyable to me, seeing my work after the day is done is fulfilling, I don’t need anything else.

A big issue with the social structure is a lack of “third places.” People need to see more than just their family and their classmates/coworkers. And it really sucks for Gen z and Gen alpha that people older than them are removing those opportunities. Isolation is AWFUL for people.

It is shocking how my parents raised me. They didn’t teach me much of anything about life and just expected me to get a job outside of school and get married and have a family. They were disappointed when I didn’t do this . That said, since relationships just don’t work for me I’m left wondering “ok what now?”.. I’m 34 and it’s pretty confusing. I think another big problem is how early women tend to be indoctrinated into social media presences, and thus having ridiculous standards. Even back in like 2016 when I was in high school, half of the girls in my grade (junior-senior year) were dating at least college aged guys. Same goes for college girls too, they usually tend to date older more successful guys. I can't imagine how bad it is now, with how prevalent Instagram and TikTok are. 28 and I can relate to your struggle. Felt very lost and isolated in my early 20s. This is only enhanced if you don’t go to college/live at home, etc.A few things I found that work. Stop worrying so much about finding a partner and start focusing on your friendships. Be the one to take initiative and reach out to people you have things in common with. Not everyone will reciprocate, but those that will are the people you want to be around. Some of my closest friends I made just two years ago with this approach. We meet every week at a local pub for family feud. These friends will introduce you their friends, etc. this is how I met my now girlfriend, but it’s only because I was putting effort into my relationships that we were able to meet. Things get better.

to add onto your point at 10:29, i’ve met a girl over the internet and she thought i was like really ugly. We still end up dating but throughout the whole time we dated i always felt like i was lacking looks which made my self esteem really low. tbh i was really musty back then but even when I changed up my looks and gotten better drip and a fresh new cut. The feeling of being ugly never went away from me and i was a very self reserved type of guy so i never went and interacted much outside of my own circle. The idea that i was decent looking or something was none existent since all i ever heard about my looks was that i was ugly or hideous and the girl i dated includeing her friends would always clown me on my looks at any chance they get. It was really detrimental to my own self image which gravitated all my attention on how to improve how i look instead of pointing out the positive traits and resonating with it. Now if i hear someone say something positive about me, i wont believe them because i genuinely think im ugly too. Humans are so judgmental nowadays where it would affect how they would interact with that person; whether they are ugly or attractive. I always hated this scale we just put onto anyone beginning at like middle school when our faces are literally still forming and puberty. But that doesn’t matter now does it? All that matters whether you can pull or not. I would say the key to socialising is listening and remembering people's names (so many people are happy when you remember their name and use it). Ask lots of follow up questions when people speak to you and ask people about thier lives and past times. People love it when someone takes an active interest in them.
I've won so many friends and women over by just doing this, when you treat other people with human respect they will really like you back.
Many times somebody I thought was dull or uninteresting turned out to be very interesting when I got past the surface level. You also learn alot about yourself talking to others also.
