Something clearly aggravated these motorcyclists and they were retaliating. From where I stand, both parties are in the wrong: you are wrong for following them so close and escalating the situation, and probably for pissing them off in the first place; they are wrong for retaliating. Why are you complaining about lane splitting in this video (I assume thats the motorcycle law you are talking about?) These guys could block you in with or without that law. In fact if you pissed off a car driver they could block you off in their car, I've seen road rage videos of that happening. There is a law against obstructing traffic flow already, and a cop could pull someone over for going an unsafe speed (even too slow). This doesn't show why lane splitting shouldn't be legal. According to a study conducted by the University of California, Berkeley, perhaps the most respected public school on the face of the earth, certainly in the US, showed that Lane sharing was both safer and helped to reduce congestion when the speed of the motorcyclist did not exceed 10-15 MPH faster than the traffic around the motorcyclist. CHP, some of the safest riders out there, split lanes. I am sure you have seen someone get rear ended on the highway, we all have. Drivers who are texting in traffic plow into the back of the car in front of them, this is a daily, hourly occurrence. Motorcyclists get killed/injured when they sit between those cars, its much safer to carefully split between them. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with a few motorcyclists, we don't get to see what, if anything prompted them to do this, but I will let you know that despite their often gruff exterior, motorcylists can be quite sensitive to the driving of those around them. If you were tailgating, or cut them off, it may have prompted something like this. I could post a video from my bike of many times in which drivers did something illegal that put my life in danger, but I have never called for all drivers to be banned from the road, or for the laws to be changed. The laws are fine, they just need to be followed and enforced.

I’ve seen all sorts of lawyers and law professors talk about how most people break an average of 3 federal laws a day without even knowing. It’s a stretch to say they are being “criminal” in layman’s terms, even if technically we are basically all criminals.
You are just really butt hurt about loud pipes for some reason. That’s fine, but it doesn’t make “most bikers” dumb or criminal or any other negative label you choose to apply to them. It’s a massive stretch to say it’s even remotely comparable to DUI, something that kills many many people every year.

Regardless, they were obstructing the flow of traffic which is a violation.

Honestly, I think they get off on their feelings of power from throwing their weight around, and wanting to be or being bad---es and boss. The vest on of one them obviously didn't look like a good, nice and friendly message.

What are you from Mexico and missed high school that's perfectly normal at night with traffic.
