A Virginia school board votes to restore the names of Confederate military leaders to a high school and an elementary school four years after the names were removed in reaction the George Floyd's death.
'Abbott Elementary' star Sheryl Lee Ralph joined Vice Presiden Kamala Harris on her reproductive health rights tour. We'll share some of that conversation.
A Galveston, Texas, redistricting case is headed to the Fifth Circuit of Appeals. The plaintiffs are trying to stop the County commissioner's court from breaking up a majority-minority district, where Black and Latino residents make up 58-percent of the electorate. The lawyer fighting for the minority voters will be here to explain the case.
On this day in 2019, Roland Greene was viciously beaten by six Louisiana State Troopers. His mother, Mona Hardin, will be here to update us on her fight for justice for her son.
And 110 years ago, Mother Viola Ford Fletcher was born. Today, one of the remaining survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre celebrates another year.

Virginia was the headquarters of the confederate army..to them this is natural.

I don't think there's anything that can change a culture. I was born and raised in Louisiana during the 50's-60's. We were talking about this conversation back then. I've learned to never trust the enemy. We will never "overcome" but many "maybe" who are smart enough realize it's not about I got mine , you get yours. It's about survival of the race.

Getting really tired of having to motivate people to go vote so that people can't take your rights away. Do you want your rights or not.

I was watching on TV and had to get this on my phone to make a comment. I think either of the panelist on this show would make excellent commencement speakers and I'm glad they speak at events somewhere.

Yikes. That Bethune Cookman commencement was brutal. I’d rather be uninvited than go through that.

Roland, how dare you insult Michael’s intelligence, he’d be a great commencement speaker. Stop being a braggart.

Roland, love you, but your argument about the WNBA flies in the face of warmth you usually preach. Keli, Matt and Mike are right on this. Both/And

Yes, a lot of attention is on Caitlyn Clark because she is a great white ball player, but it is no different than Tiger because he is a great black golfer, Larry Bird because he was a great white ball player, the Williams sisters because they are great black tennis players, Simone Biles because she is a great black gymnastics athlete, Bubba Wallace because he is a great black Nascar racer or hell, Eminem because he is a great white rapper... The point is that there is an elevated level of attention given for things seemingly out of the norm. The same was true when President Obama became the democratic nominee and President. Whenever someone of a different race is just as good or better than the usual competition there is a media frenzy surrounding them. And frankly, it has been good for all involved in each sport as well as the visibility of each sport. Caitlyn Clark's presence is elevating the WNBA in a positive way for the WNBA, it's players and it's fans. So everybody have a seat and enjoy the games.

Rolland you are my boy. But you are dead wrong, this white girl is getting accolades because she’s white. The black women are better and as good and they’re being over looked because they don’t want to endorse them. Mat, Michael and Kelly were spot on with their opinions. It doesn’t take all these years to endorse a woman basketball player. Please. She’s the great white hope.

A forgotten or silent layer is Britney Griner and her detention in Russia. This made aware the payment disparage in female sports. Like Issac Hayes III stated last night a white woman markets well to all. A Black face markets to some not all in most instances.
