- What’s the Value of the 1982 Quarter?
Today, some people have the uncirculated 1982 quarters in their possession; the reason isn’t far-fetched - they simply hoarded these coins in the period when they were used as a means of exchange. As a result, there was a shortage of uncirculated coins during that time. On the other hand, finding the circulated version of the 1982 quarters is relatively easy.
In the about uncirculated version, you can get the 1982-D and 1982-P quarters between $5 to $10. However, there have been auctions with successful resale value. For instance, the coins in the higher grades like the MS67 and MS68 grades are extremely rare.
An MS68 1982 quarter was sold at an auction in Illinois for $4,242 in 2015. You could get more, depending on how rare the quarter is. For example, a 1982-P 25C (regular strike) PCGS-certified MS68 coin sold at a record high of $10,200 in 2019.

Iv been waiting on a video like this, Here in San Antonio Texas there is so much old coins. I have over 80$ in old quarters ranging from 1953 to 1998 that are in almost perfect condition the eagle on the back has all feathers all lines on the feathers. So, I have (1) each of the 1982 Denver and the 1982 Philadelphia Special mint sets. What is the next way to sell them? They came with the blue envelops and they both have the “Special Mint” coin that is in place of any dollar coin. Will PCGS grade they coins individually or as a set? Please advise! Thanks

I went to McDonald's and watched the manager open up a quarter roll put it in the till he gave me a quarter in change I took it home looked at it from what I saw it looks like it's in the Ms 60 plus

Have 3 '82 and an '83 I was just looking at one has a filled D mint mark, two have filled P marks and the 83 is a D, got them in everyday purchases, circulated but in good condition, very slight wear on hair, eagles breast, are they worth holding on to, either or since there scarce I'm going to clip them .

There's another CZcams channel called couch collectibles or something similar that has a video about these exact coins. I can't remember the value specifically but it was a lot. They also give info on a rating business.

All the person said was I have one from 1989, it's a quarter dollar......... And so what makes it valuable? They didn't and couldn't articulate anything specific about the coin if it had errors or even the condition of it. It can be the rarest coin on earth but if it's in the worst condition possible it's still not worth much.
