Wow!!! What a great project. Since you posted the picture of the tiered men’s dress shirt skirt this summer I have been looking for plaid and flannel shirts to make a fall version. This fits the bill so will. I appreciate when you throw in other styles that aren’t your vibe. It shows the depth of your skill as an up-cycler.
Thanks so much!! 😁💕
I too liked it better with the sleeves tied in the front. Exciting news. So glad you're going so strong.
Thank you!! 😊
Angelina, I must have watched this video ten times since you posted. I’m finally starting on mine today. I had a different vision for mine & couldn’t figure out how to get there, but I am ready now. Thank you for the never-ending inspiration. You are a treasure ❤❤❤
When my husband was alive, he wore red flannel shirts almost every day. Gifted to him from his mom every Christmas and birthday. Even before we dated. Color I dislike the most is red. Orange is in same level of dislike. Fortunately, someone gave my husband a hint about not wearing plaid so much around the woman you want to date.
Seeing the thumbnail images of your videos, I keep in mind that everything is according to taste - the upcycle process is the inspiration.
I would probably make this skirt for winter wear with blues and grays. And make the front hem higher to show my boots and easier walking. I am the one long skirts don't work well because I automatically step on the skirt in the front over and over. Learned that simply making a front hem adjustment decades ago because I love full skirts with boots. With boots and different colors, this would be something I would wear all winter. No doubt.
Everything you touch turns into gold. I love it!!!!
Thank you!! 😊💕
The tie in the front makes all the difference. Very creative. Xoxo
You really had to use a lot of brain power (and girl power) to put this project together. I think you made a great decision leaving those sleeves on to tie at the waist! That made a really big difference!
Yes I did! 😆 Thank you!! 💕
I love that. Never thought to put shirts together to make a skirt
Thank you!! 😊
Wow! That took a lot of creativity and genius. That could be high fashion for a tall person on a runway or at a nice evening party, or in a designer’s office. Difficult to duplicate; super unique. I would add some silk or a shiny texture. I really loved it!
This one has been messy and crazy, very funny to watch and surprisingly quite cute at the end!!!
Quite the proper lady . Its beautiful in its unique chaos!
This was an epic upcycle! Love how this turned out. Definitely a must try.
Yes, I can't wait to see your version.
Wow- I wasn’t so sure as it was being made but I love the end result! I agree a more toned down version would be more versatile!
It looks good ON YOU. I'm a short Apple shape so it's not for me 😛 But you rocked it 👍🏾
U r such an Inspiration too me and others. I'm digging that honey....Yeeeeeeessssss! I love men shirts anyways. YOU DID THAT! And did.🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank you!! 😊💕
I’m so proud that you followed through and it’s so bomb. I’m gonna make you proud and make one following your video. I be tried to make this skirt twice already and I’ve had some similar ideas that you’ve showed so I’m so excited that I’m learning techniques from you. 💕
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 💕
The tie at the front looks awesome!!!!
Okaaaaaay... I could ROCK THAT! I love the edginess of the look. Well another sew & go for me. I will be heading right to my mom w/another creation of yours I can't wait to make into my wardrobe flavor! Thanks again for sharing your unique style! 😀
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁
That is wild crazy. I didn't know if I was going to like it... but finished it is CUTE! made me think of Christmas ... I love the sleeves tied in front. I noticed the cropped man's shirt you had on... You made it look feminine
I felt the same way Brenda. It was a wild ride. 😅
It turned out too freaking cute…Wow!
Ok- as it was being made I wasn’t so sure about it but I loved the end result! I agree- a toned down version would be more versatile!!
Thanks so much 💕
This makes my punky-goth heart so happy. I definitely want to try this!
I love how it flows real pretty.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the flannel skirt! Can’t wait to try one out. ❤
I love this diy, I'm a final year fashion student at university in the UK and this skirt looks like a technique I've explored recently called subtraction cutting.
I love the tie… I think the colors would be good around the holidays!
Monochromatic and big boots!!! That’s me. Thanks!
Who read my MIND?! Ive Been wanting to make this but had no clue!! Thanks for everyone requesting🤗
Ok so I finished watching the process....I don't know what's going on but very entertaining 😂. You did give me some motivation to attempt it and have fun with it! The turn out came out nice🙂
I'm extatic with how it turned out. it looks really nice . Who knew you can make something so lovely. with some recycle clothes. AWESOME!
The ties makes the skirt more Feminine. Love the tie arms, without them the skirt looks blah but with them you’re smoking it!!! 👏🏽
Thanks so much!! 😁
Wow! no hips required...LOL. You did an amazing job! Thanks for sharing.
Soooo glad you posted this video! Been wanting to make this but couldn’t figure out where to start!!!
Absolutely love watching your brain at work! Thanks for sharing!
This is really a Whoaaaaaaa Factor of a Skirt. So different but looks structured and well put together. Love it, but as you said, in a different color pallette.
I really like this and I think your monochromatic color scheme would be totally terrific.
Somebody would pay big $$$ for a skirt like that! TFS
Love love LOVE how it turned out!!!!
Love the tie part too
Creative way to make a skirt. I like this for sure.
Next Top Upcycler let's gooooo!!
I'm not attracted to flannel, but this upcycle shows that it pays to be open-minded. I don't know if I'll get a chance to try it, but I can definitely imagine a version of this that would be cosy and fun for work this winter. Thank you!!!
Great job! I really love it with the sleeves tied in front.
Wow, I'm on Team Maxi Skirts for Fall now!
Yayyy!
I’m with you I really like the tied version…. Looks great on you!!
I ❤❤❤ this!! I have been wanting to make one for a while now but was hesitant. Thank you for doing and showing so that i know how to accomplish this feat. It looks abaolutely amazing!! Geeat job!! ❤
If I was your size I would rock that 🤩
I love how this turned out!
definitely me!! fits my hippie old lady boho lady look!!
Yeah Season 2!
It's not my style as well, but I really enjoy seeing how things are constructed, seeing your shortcuts and most of the time your videos remember me to work with what I have. It's not easy for me but working on it. 👌
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 💕
I love this!!!!! I will be trying to make this in the next two weeks to wear to the Renaissance faire!!!! How fun and flirty!!!! Probably one of my favorite up cycles to date!
LOVING 🥰 IT … FIESTA 🪅
Oh I love this! I'm going to use this idea to make a patchwork maxi for myself.
I've purchased skirts like these but you made it look easy to duplicate...great job
SUPER CUTE!!!!!!👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️ I LOVE IT. ESPECIALLY THE LENGTH. THE TIE WAS CUTE. YES!!!
Love Love Love the skirt!!! Awesome
It turned so lovely.
I didn't think I would love it as much as I do
all black and white... yeessss also.. a low budget brides dress skirt with TEXTURED white non flannel shirts
I like that!
I was so confused, I don’t think I can even visualize those plaids as a skirt, but I love watching you put it together, just didn’t understand how🥴🥴🥴🥴
I am in love with this. I’m def a funky grunge/punk style lover. This with combat boots tickles my fancy. I’m loving your work thx
Thank you!! 😊
The colors are great. I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Really love the pockets!
You are so inspiring. I took a shirt that couldn't fit across my hips, a skirt that was too large and long and a dress that was the least flattering asymmetric hemline ever, turning them into a boho dress. So fun!
Yes, that does sound fun!
I would love to see it done with a variety of black and white and plaids maybe in a pencil skirt. Yes! i agree the monochromatic it still was a great up cycle.
Fellow box shape here :D I always look to try and dress like an X shape. My friends would swear on a stack of bibles that I have a waist lol (except the ones who have seen me nekkid lol). I'm totally a flannel plaid old hippie freak so I loved this video!!! I love that you show your mistakes; I didn't sew for 45 years so LOOOOOTS of mistakes haha. I joined the group and everyone there is so inspiring! I have a ton of clothes that I simply can't wear, and most of them are from second hand stores in the first place and worn to death so I can't donate, but I also won't throw out. This video got me so happyyyyy1
Chiiiiiiiild! Those sleeves tied gave what it was supposed to had gave! I it pays homage to what you made the skirt from.😯😯😯😯😯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ WEIRD! NO HONEY! Fabulous!!!!!!
Thanks so much!! 😁💕
Good job. And I love the monochromatic idea
Your creativity is off the charts! And veey appreciated!!!
Thank you!! 💕
That is one FUN project! I really love the sleeves tied to the front. Love the you used the sleeves for pockets... brilliant.... but, I expected no less from ya! My Shero!
Thanks so much Renee!! 😁
Soooooo can't wait for season 2 of next top upcycling
I would WEAR THAT..! Certainly want to try this
I need a dress form!! Loooove this!!
Wow! I wasn’t sure at first, but this turned out great!
Well it looks pretty darn cute on you!!❤
This is one of my favorite upcycles. Love it with the tied sleeves too!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looking forward to season two.
I like the tie in the front so much!!! It makes it look better, more stylish.
Turned out great was worried in the middle!
Me too! 😆
LOVE IT!! YOU CAN SEND IT TO ME!! I WILL WEAR IT EVERYDAY!! 😍😍😍
You look so good in that!!
I absolutely love this
Love this... lots of thought to figure it out and good use of shirts!
LOVE the tied sleeves. YOU-nique
I like it !!! This is something that I would make for myself !!
I love, love love it! I wish I could rock it but I'm too short.
Sis! I loved it! Especially the option to tie the arms...hope we don't wait too long for the monochrome colored skirt, yaay🤩
This turned out so damn cute!!!
Thank you for this! It looks great on you. I’m a rectangle too, I’m totally going to try this!
Aaaahhh!! I love this girl!!!
I'm tall and laughed out loud at the never have I ever had floor length comment. Me too!
Simply fabulous 😍
Love this! Would be great with denim pieces included. Maybe as the waistband?
Hi Angelina! I just subscribed. And I’ve never subscribed to any channels before, but your videos are right up my alley! The styles, the colors and prints, the textures, the simple instructions you give, being able to use what we have or thrifted, and the excitement you put into each piece was the reason I signed up. I look forward to your next “renegade” creation! Now I’m off to watch more of your videos while I’m not feeling well in bed. Peace ✌🏽
It looks best with the sleeves tied in front.
Love the finished results! Id really like to make something like this, but I don't have the sewing skills, and likely won't ever 😅, but it's inspiration!
I love it! I like yours more than the inspiration.
Omg 😱 this is way tooo cool; kinda remind me a bit of Alexander McQueen style😍😍😍😍 Definitely love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I must try freaking love it!!!!
This is like my dream skirt. I dont think I'd have the skills to make something like that though.
Thank you for sharing your creative gifts. I wish you could teach me how to sow. I want to learn so bad! I loved the look with the sleeves tied! Make me one of everything! I still want the denim backpack!
Thank you!! 😊 Have you tried Mimi G's Sew It Academy to learn to sew online.
I don’t want you to take it the wrong way. My opinion is “what a disaster, I wouldn’t wear it”, but I LOVED IT, I LOVED IT. very entertaining and it looks good on you. Keep safe!
Thanks! 💕
The skirt turned out great! I've got a picture on my inspo board of a skirt like this made from jeans.
Oh cool!
