Jason Everman's story could apply here. Played in Nirvana and Soundgarden (before grunge broke big) and ended up joining the army and serving in Special Forces.
Surprised the lead singer of the counting crows isnt on here. He got so sick of being famous that he decided he was gonna stop making music pretty much for good. It all started when he went home and people had found out where he lived due to a song lyric he wrote and there was people camped out all over his yard and down the block. At that point he went into a paranoid depression and decided the fame and spotlight wasnt something he cared to be a part of. To this day he regrets how he changed his whole life by getting famous. (Although im sure he didnt mind the money and oppurtunities it afforded him.) Sadly the rest of the band have been begging him to come back for years but he has refused so they also havent been up to much.
He had horrible anxiety and stage fright. It was really hard to get him onstage back in the 90’s. I couldn’t work with him. Not many could on the label/touring scene.
The Bill Berry story is missing a lot of information that lead him to that decision, mainly a brain aneurism while on tour that should have killed him. That has a tendency to change your views. He has performed with REM since on special occasions, and if you ask who the members are Bill is always included. I was very sad to see Bill go but completely understand his choice.
Amazingly, as the story go's, he was like a mile from the best brain surgeons in the world when the event occurred. The stars aligned for that guy. If he wants to mow hay...more power to him B-).
Not to mention REM didn't replace him. They used studio drummers and touring drummers but none were ever official members of the band. The band always remained the four of them.
Big Boi & Killer Mike has so many collaborations together, Killer Mike being featured on a lot of Big Boi's solo albums and both Big Boi & Killer Mike being apart of Dungeon Family, Big Boi & Killer Mike can easily make music as a duo, with Andre 3000 being semi-retired. With Smashing Pumpkins member Billy Corgan, he is now the owner of the National Wrestling Alliance. Former band members left off this list: 1. Professor Griff of Public Enemy 2. Bottie Brown of The Pharcyde 3. Big Mike of the Geto Boys 4. Playa Fly of 3-6 Mafia
There is WAY more to the Beats story! Monster audio was doing poorly at the time and they were looking for a celebrity to endorse their products. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine met with Monster and in negotiations for a deal, they were able to get the intellectual property rights for everything that was created for their new product line. Beats was born. It became very successful and when it came time to renew their contract, they declined and set out on their own. Shortly thereafter they launched a streaming service; Beats Music. Both the audio hardware and music streaming sides of the business were doing well, then Apple came knocking. They bought Beats for 3 billion dollars, $400 million of which was in Apple stock. While they initially co-inhabited the streaming space and on shelves of retail outlets, Apple would integrate Beats into their launch of Apple Music, naming the flagship station of their refreshed service "Beats 1", now "Apple 1". Beats hardware has remained a separate line within Apple's audio products offerings.
Dave Grohl one of the best drummers ever? Don't get me wrong - he's a multi-instrument talent, but one of the greatest drummers? I love Nirvana. Never once listened to them thinking "Damn, this drummer is out of this world!"

It’s weird how he couldn’t conform to life in a rock band but he excelled in the military, the ultimate social conformist structure.
@@waverlyking6045Special Forces do not follow the social conformist structure, they are selected to operate outside of the box.
Michael Jackson did OK after leaving the Jackson 5 . Cher after leaving Sonny . Tina Turner after leaving Ike .

What band were you with @stereophonicsmom?
He obviously got over it, oh, wait, that’s because it isn’t true.
It an old “urban legend”
They never broke up. They tour every summer.
@@leahsundvall5894 I kind of figured cause they been dropping music up until 2014ish or something, and they still touring to This Day lmao
Scott Stapp is doing amazingly well now. His voice is back in shape and his health is on top form. Creed are reuniting.
Is that so,...Scott Stapp?😮
Creed sucks
This is the worst news I've heard all year. :(
Scott Stapp solo is better than with Creed.
@@THoppy it all sucks

@@user-ln4zr4pz4f yep I read about that too. It just wasn't his time yet, thank God.

Didn't know Scott stapp was in the foo fighters lmao talking about the drummer that quit lol
Always a pleasure. Thanks❤

Ummm why are we putting William Goldsmith's quotes being put up with Scott Stapp saying it? Maybe editing issue? @5:45? Just saying.

❤❤ I LOVE RICHIE ❤❤
You forgot Jason Becker.
❤❤ I LOVE CREED❤❤
Honorable mention: Me.
Ask yourself, do you know who I am?
EXACTLY!
These people did fine
Scott Stapp is together now and doing ok.
🙏🏾✊🏽‼️
Todd jeeps all 5's .
Evan Muskegon Elon Yonson 👏 🙌 😎
Scott Stapp was awesome and hot back in the day. Still love him and hope to see Creed on tour❤
That’s so sad
What about Blaze Baley?
He didn't leave, he was fired.
Sammy Hagar?
Peter Cetera leaving Chicago. Diana Ross leaving the Supremes. Darius Rucker and Hootie and the Blowfish.
I believe Creed left Stapp not vice versa.
I liked Creed😂❤

grohl is a terrible drummer
I wouldn't say he's terrible, but he definitely isn't anywhere near the best either! He's decent, at best!!
