- This townhouse is weird but in a really cool New York sort of way. Its really old, over 100 years, but its been restored and renovated to a level most properties never get to. Its also quite affordable and super spacious (for an NYC Apartment). To see what that means, check out this nyc apartment tour!

by now I consider Cash as my friend who lives in NYC and he is constantly giving me a tour:)
Yep
Gotta trip to NYC and meet him - face to face. Potentially invite we him south, to my pad - Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸
. . . tour him through our GREAT Smithsonian system ! 🤗🇺🇸
Are you kidding? I see him, more than I do, my best friends. These days, were going in so many different directions, it’s hard to even FaceTime. Someone’s driving, gardening, shopping ,chasing kids/grandkids or worse, they’re at work.
@@likemeordont5951 U make NO sense ! 💀
If you only have 10 minutes to spare to distract yourself from your busy day, Cash Jordan videos will fulfill that!
Yup !
Agreed!
Absolutely
My day is busy 10 minutes, rest is for Cash videos ;)
Very nice unit. The backyard space has amazing possibilities, I would love to get my hands on it. Once the debris is taken out, pressure wash it, clean out some of those dead vines, some planters with flowers , put down a nice outdoor rug and go from there. It's a cheerful apt, with a view of greenery out the windows. I know that's not important to a lot of people, but I like that fact. The front of the building is very attractive and well thought out. Nice wrought iron fence, a nice neat looking building. The two kitchen sinks are rare, but I guess it was designed for a Kosher kitchen. Me, I rather have more countertop space, but that's minor and there are ways around it.
The lack of green space is a huge reason why I can't tolerate urban living. My yard full of oak trees and flowers cannot be beat by concrete and metal. No thanks.
It's expensive AF, but I LOVE this apartment. Whoever gets it will be pretty much set for a while.
I have never been to NYC. A while back one of your videos popped up, it was fascinating, I subscribed, and I have been watching since. Like an earlier commenter said, I feel like I am being given a tour of all the neighborhoods in the city. Thanks!! 😊
Same here except I have been to NYC several times. Cash popped up and I’ve just been watching since. I don’t even watch any other real estate people.
You got to visit there. I lived in Vegas for 20 years (I now live in Arkansas) and when I visited NYC it made Vegas look so small in comparison. It’s absolutely amazing and fast paced there!
I was born in Brooklyn and raised between Brooklyn and Queens where he if right now very bad area.
This is why I've really started favoring the outer boroughs lately. $1500/person for a ton of space, laundry, and outdoor space isn't bad at all!
I use to live in that neighborhood 3 years ago. He’s on Lafayette & Nostrand Aves. I lived 2 blocks away on Dekalb & Nostrand Aves. When I moved they just started renovating that building he’s showing & a few more on that block. It’s a fairly decent neighborhood. I lived there for 16 years. I was there when it became gentrified about 10 years ago. I had some great memories of that neighborhood, even though I live in a better neighborhood now. Thanks Cash❤️!!!
I used to live at Tompkins and Lafayette and we were literally seeing the neighborhood change day by day and with it, our rent.
What were the apartments in those townhouses like before renovations? Just curious. I figure they chopped up the bedrooms to make them 2/4 bdrms instead of 1/2, stuff like that.
I think this is one of the best I have seen. 6k is still pricey but at least you get 4 bedrooms and 2 baths out of it. Its just sad that you either have to have a crazy high earning job or 2 to live there solely/as a family or have to have roomates in order for you to be in NY.
no rent controlled apts in NYC? lol
@@BadTV1993 I mean it depends on where though... its very selective
This seems a great place for a small family. The kids can have the smaller bedrooms, that way the 12x12 space can be used as an office, guest room, or den. Once cleaned up, you could throw great dinner parties in the garden. Just needs plants, a grill, and some outdoor furniture. Summers would be grand!
@$6000 a month who can afford kids ?
Only problem with that idea is that the kitchen is on the 2nd floor so you're carrying food & things up & down the stairs & thru the whole lower level b4 you even get outside
Those centipedes are super creepy, but they actually are a deterrent to the large cockroaches/waterbugs. And yeah, they always seem to get trapped in the tub.
House centipedes are also essentially harmless to us, and as you noted are great assets, so give em a helping hand if you see one in trouble - hustle it onto a piece of paper, e.g., and dump it out of the tub so it can run away and get back to eating baby roaches and other undesirables
Silverfish! Not my thing. The place is amazing regardless.
Also enemies to bed bugs and wolf spiders! I hate creepy crawlies, but I'll always save a house centipede!
Lots of storage, fresh space, outdoor area, laundry- just really costly.
Cash you always make me laughing out loud each time you give us your comments while on tour around NYC, and everytime I see a Taco Bell or Dunkin Donuts (now they call it just Dunkin') I remember what Cash always say and I just drive on not stopping by LOL
I don't think he's that funny though.
Those old Brownstones had such ornate wood work and treatments my brown stone still had a gas light in my front gate . If you can look up NY brownstones and rail road flats . The architecture was magnificent. Some of those brownstones were built in the 1870's
Looks like they took a vintage brownstone and turned it into a contemporary cookie-cutter. A desecration, imho.
@@CathyS_Bx Yes, what hideous destruction!
Yea they’ve destroyed the character it had. Now it looks soulless.
"Ornate woodwork"....oh noooo. I figured they were beautiful inside. Now they're sterile cubicles, horrible. So sad. There ought to be a law against that.
I can't get past the micro bedrooms in such a gigantic apartment. Cash you rock!
Jesus, as a child of the 80s, $6000 for a place in Bed Stuy?!! And we all know its chopped. There are 3 bedroom apartments in the Upper west side that are cheaper.
I said above I owned a brownstone on Vernon in the 80's & 90's $70,000 back then $1.2 million today .
@@berthubbardt.o.o.c7314 Hope you sold it for a good price! This generation is getting screwed.
I don't think you'll find that holds today, especially with a backyard.
This is a classic case of one person needing to pay a lot more than everyone else.
The huge bedroom on the upper level is overwhelmingly the best.
Next is *probably* the big one on the lower floor, but no closet, and needing to allow people to walk through it knock it down.
Then the upper small bedroom, and the lower small bedroom comes in last.
6 k a month :
$2250 : Best bedroom
$1500 : no closet
$1250 Small upper
$1000 Small lower.
That's _if_ you can find people who won't trash the place or duck and dodge you on the rent. I don't know how NY tenant laws are but in California, of you get a room mate who refuses to pay rent, you can't lock them out. You have to take them to court and it could take many months and the judge won't always grant you an eviction and you're stuck for all your tenants back rent. Then they're bitter that you tried to evict then so now they're prying in your bedroom door, stealing your food, trashing your name and doing all sorts of devious stuff to get at you. And now they're emboldened because the judge gave them a reprieve so they will do anything they want now knowing they can't get kicked out. $6k is too much to play with. Once one person gets away with not getting kicked out, the others are sure to follow. Having roomies is just not worth it.
@@FrankiesFancy What about hosting 3 Airbnb rooms? Or would local statutes make that out of the question?
Great place,, that kitchen is large,, and those bathrooms are beautiful!!
It amazes me how much places like Bed-Stuy and Nostrand have changed since I grew up in the NYC area. It is positively fancy compared to what it used to be like when I was growing up (gang gun fights, building fires, and a lot of aggravated assaults). The unit is quite nice. Great kitchen, good BR, living-dining area, and well-equipped baths. Good yard space in back outside. And it has laundry and room for a second laundry possibility. Wow!
In the past, anyone who valued their life would ever go to those neighborhoods. It's somewhat that way today as well but not as bad as it used to be.
❤️ this place! Two sinks helps me keep kosher. Signed, the Catholic. 😆 Thanks for all you do, Cash, to keep us watching and loving NYC! And you were right about pandemic pricing. The rental market is bouncing back pretty fast.
Too expensive apartments.
@@Crystal-zs1xx For real! Prices were down during COVID-19 with free months, which made NYC closer to my broke-ho price range. But not anymore.
All food is kosher if God blesses the food & that's why I say grace! Also I don't wanna be poisoned.
I do like the two sinks too.
My daily visit to NY!! 🥰🥰🥰
Definitely put a lock on the door to the basement.
YES maybe a solid one as there are bars on the windows but only a full glass window on the door to the back area SMH
yup. a bad neighborhood.
That place is gorgeous. And in historic bed stuy! However I don't understand grown ups having roommates. Having roommates never worked out when I was young, and now I'm supposed to trust people to pay their rent? But if I was rich I'd love to raise a family there!
How quickly many forgot about the flooded out basement/first floor apartments during hurricane Ida. Yesterday there were torrential rains throughout the city. Cars were stuck on over flooded roadways. I would hate to live in a basement apartment no matter how nice it is. If the renter is able to get renter’s insurance it will be at a very steep price.
Only downside to this unit I can see is the subway issue! Love it. Thank you Cash for these videos, makes me feel better when I'm homesick (grew up in CT but spent a lot of my free time in the city)
I love this place, even the messed up back yard. 3 roommates could handle that.
Hey if anyone rents this place, if you are not already a CZcamsr please become one, I'd love to see you vlog your life in that apartment and eat at all the local restaurants, sip your morning coffee with a side of Korean food, small restaurants like that with unique food are why New York City is awesome! If you go there for a visit please try food at these little local restaurants and go to a bunch of them.
I love that neighborhood where that stop is off the G. My friends lives around there. They are renovating all the homes on his block it's crazy
get some bullet proof curtains; that place is across from a city housing project. come home before dark. only an out-of-towner would rent that.
That's known as a House Centipede. They actually prey on mosquitos, ants, and other pests.
A house where I lived in Illinois was full of them. They like rotting wood. We called them wood nymphs and thousand-leggers.
@@valerieschoen7494 I call them a crawling mustache
@@dianadundidit5343 🤣
They're actually called Old-House Centipedes and if you see one that big in the tub, there are tens of thousands in the walls! 😝 I used to live in a 1929-built coop building on Long Island and even with monthly extermination, I would see them on the wall, the 9 ft ceilings and running under the bed! Couldn't do a thing about it on my own or even with the board's help. Kind of a nightmare when the 'pedes freak you out.
@@1928jazz OH MY GOD *screaming*
Thanks for the video nice thing to watch even when busy
Morning Cssh, I loved this building, very reasonably priced and modernized. The space seem warm and the back patio could be my secret garden. This is the only way I could live in the city. Great job. Cookie
Hey Cash, I really enjoy your videos of the different areas of New York and the apartments. They're a great mini getaway from my day, thanks!
Great apartments....Clean, cozy and an Outdoor space!! Doesn't get better!
Hilarious, and great editing Cash!
Haha, the Aussie in me is yelling "SNAKE!" when Cash was in the yard with the shovel!
Loved the video. Nice neighborhood. Love your tours in the area of rental. I feel that if I wanted to live in NY. I could count on you to show me the best place for the money.
This is a really nice unit! Thanks for the tour.
Holy moly Cash, this place is amazing. I love it. Light & spacious, great value & love the neighbourhood. It's my new fav.
$6k ?!!!!!! I don’t care how beautiful or nice it
Good an apartment is, ain’t no way I’m paying $6k a month.. 😩💔
No wonder peeps are going tiny or selling up all they own and living in camper
Vans. Craziness.
Both Type O Negative and Smashing Pumpkins did great covers of "Cinnamon Girl"
I'm amazed to see a second sink in an apartment. I added a prep sink next to my stove when we remodeled. It's very handy having a second sink.
Nice renovation! I wonder how much extra they could ask for if the backyard was landscaped and pretty 🤔, sorry about the apartment dust, love this place!
If the backyard was fully landscaped the rent would probably be even higher so this is probably a good deal. 🤔
Nice place except for the deadly centipedes and poisonous apartment dust.
Very nice, love the outdoor space! Blessings Cash. 💝
That bug ya saw was a house centipede they actually are harmless and help take care of other bugs like spiders and other annoying ones.
Ugh, that centipede ruined everything ! 😱
You crack me up Cash. Great video. Great property!
Nice apt Cash. I LOVE the outdoor space.....ideas come to mind. I like the idea of 2 sinks if 4 people rent the place. Always a pleasure watching all ur videos.....hope family is well.
I just discovered your channel!! I just started binge watching your vlogs!!
This may have been two apartments made into one. It's a weird arrangement and an odd selection of bedrooms, but two bathrooms makes it shareable - if at different rates. That knee space in the kitchen might be available for a dishwasher, 'cause Cash didn't show us one. The back yard has real potential if cleaned up. For at least the people in the small bedrooms, this could be a good deal financially.
Yeah the backyard is the most interesting part, you can do anything you want with it. Set up one of those sounds tables with the huge umbrella, a couple of chairs, a grill, and everything. You can even start your own garden. It needs some cleaning up and everything, but it will be worth it
Love the walls. You could hang soo many pictures!!! Yes... I like simple things. 😂😂😂Edit: just reached the centipede part, I always let them carry on since they eat roaches, and other pests. Another line of defense against roaches and other pests!
Whoever has that tiny bedroom should only have to pay 1000$
I like it! It's light bright and white. Lots of room and you could use your imagination on the outdoor patio area which would be my favorite.
Coffee, bagel, yogurt & Cash's videos make for a good breakfast. Keep up the great work Mr. Jordan
Good for 2 couples. I’d add a portable dishwasher to the open area under the kitchen cabinet and a second laundry for separation.
This is Gonna B so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍….
Cash, thank you for your role in exposing Duncan for their false claims of selling "food" and "coffee". Keep fighting the good fight my friend.
Cash, you need to get up in the apartment above the Belasco theatre!
as someone who was born and raised in northern california and never been further east than ohio, that shop owner saying if the key doesnt work, bring him the door and he will fix the door, is literally the most new york thing ive ever heard, other than, "IM WALKIN HEREEEEEEEEEEEEE" lol. its kinda adorable!
Awesome appartment. I love the bathes and the pattern tiles in the entry.
A lot of room . Great kitchen! Really nice.
It is big and beautiful. Great outdoor space, too.
I love getting to know NY through your videos! I have never been there. NY holds such mystique to europeans... l think you are entertaining, witty and do your job of realtor like no other!!
In 1975 when I was living in a 2 bedroom in Riverdale for $295/month it was my dream to pay more than 6K/month in Bed-Stuy
Haha. That's when a person couldn't walk down the street in Bed-Stuy without being mugged. Or murdered.
Cash this is the 2nd video of yours I have seen and I love the music you choose.
Ive never been to new york but always wanted to visit and he gives the whole tour of city and the apartments its awesome
8:30 I hate those things but i love them because they hunt the pests we dont want. Help the little guy out of the tub so it can do what it was born to do!
$1500 per person isnt bad for a group of singles just dont let them move in a partner and try to keep their combines portion at $1500
Love your vids! Greetings from Germany
I enjoy your videos! The reason the Dunkin place survives is because lots of people like their coffee including me. Guess I’m not a coffee snob. 🤔
One of my absolute favorites so far, except that they should have added a dishwasher instead of a second sink.
It's a shame that they invested so much into the interior but left the outdoor space looking like a trash heap.
That's all I could think about. I bet it'll be years before the landlord sends somebody to clean it up and do some landscaping. Out of sight, out of mind.
That's a scary back yard....looks like a place a body would be buried....LOL.....I think they are still renovating...so hopefully they will get to it before renters move in
Agree --- if they actually spruce up the backyard - and and put in landscaping, they'd have to raise the rent to $8,000/mo. One bedroom is 12'x7'-1/2" --- will there be room to walk once the furniture is in? I never saw so many narrow closets - where do people put their clothes - especially winter coats, jackets, boots, etc? That stairway that leads to the basement - SCARY!!!!!
@@jinisteffani8035 that was my exact thoughts 🤣
Your sarcasm is always spot on lol
Wow that place is stunning.
Gorgeous !!!
Wow they completely stripped that townhouse of its character. It just carnage.
Loved the kitchen :)
I like this unit a lot overall! I'd figure a couple in the big bedroom and then a couple of roomies. Love having the potential for outdoor space and washer/dryer! Subway options seem... challenging at times. But overall, very nice and affordable (by NYC standards, cuz we all know you could get this for half the price in rural Boondockia). I love having all the space!
Love it! Kitchen is great! Outdoor spaceships be fantastic c raised bed gardening and crockery. Those showers are cool but I'm 4'10"..those sprays would go straight over my head😜 I would have to jump up and down for them to hit me! And that basement is where you put Leslie guests I'm assuming..another great one ..thanks!
*out door spaces!!! My Auto correct is illiterate!!
The common space is rather small given that there are four bedrooms in the apartment.
Although the fourth bedroom is probably better suited as a home office. The main downside, as I see it, is the G train.
I like this one! It has a lot of potential :-)
If that unit was in Manhattan the tenants wouldn't have to worry about relying on the G train. 😂 BTW, if you never showed us another closeup of a bug, that would be fine with me. 😉
😆 you could've put the little centipede outside, it's not poisonous but very helpful for the environment in it's own little way.🌎I love your videos! Take care and be careful out there 🙏🏻
I love the door to the scary basement. I'd take it just for that.
Scary that there's no lock on the door and anyone can come up from the basement into your apartment.
I really wanted Cash to go down there and find some Victorian remains or something LOL. I've heard about 19th century houses that literally have burials and gravestones in the basement.
@@denverdubois5835 Okay, now that would be fun!
LOL 😂apartment dust.. Great place for the right family. I love your videos. 💝🙏💝 Cash and Coffee ☕☕☕
Good morning! It is my Monday. Dreading the ol' work routine today! ;(
Hard to believe, at least for old timer NYers, that Bed-Stuy has become so twee.
If you sold jars of Cash Jordan branded apartment dust, I’d buy some! 😂
Nice, well-appointed unit with a ton of backyard space. A lot of potential. I think best maybe for two couples, splitting the rent evenly?
Cinnamon Girl is a Prince tune. Yeah! That second small sink is a prep sink.
That place is great! Did I miss it having laundry? At roughly $1500 a person (though whoever gets that last one should pay less), can't beat it in The City. Great video as alwasy!
You're hilarious 😂
Why is there a wet spot on floor of the last bedroom?
What did you do?
I think this would be a great place to have two couples live. A bedroom and a reasonably sized office for each couple on separate floors. Alternate weekends to use the laundry, put together a simple kitchenette for the downstairs couple. Upstairs has more indoor space, downstairs has the garden area. With some coordination and a room divider by the downstairs door, it could work.
Oh, that would be Nice !
👍👍❤️
That thing about the key 😂😂😂
8:26 did you spill your drink lol
I love the space
Very nice place 🖤
Awesome apartment. Back yard for doggo. Perfect. Two sinks so your spouse could be doing dishes too ha ha.
