Thanks for YT other wise i wouldn't have come across how to start out a casting net.... its very nice to learn from people that is doing it for so many years. Not alot of people make net here in Namibia only a hand full stil make there own nets.

I was doing it the way some guys throw yhe line over but was super hard for me,maybe because of the vids i was watching they were using rope and when u use mono the line acts different so mahalos for dat too. what's the difference between a 20 eye start and a 60 or 80 ? Im trying to start my first net right now, so far so good. Thanks for the videos bradda 🤙🏽 also i stay using Ande mono, hopefully das a worthy line to use, lmk if i shouldnt use Ande if can. Mahalo
I tried doing this with twine material just to practice...The first set of loop knots seem to slide up and down the length of the line to the ring. Is this because of the material used or just messing up the knots?
You are correct. That’s how I sew my nets not making piko first. The reason they say piko last is because before we tie the piko with the hitch knots. We flip the net inside out so that the high side of the knots are on the inside of the net & not on the outside, if that makes sense.
The one I started is the piko last way. I find it much easier, but to each his/ her own. Mahalo for teaching everyone how to. 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Is the spacer the full size of the loops you need or is it half? Legal is 2 inch, so it's your spacer 2 inch or 1 and a little?
