The mixing of two styles facility, will open a new era of music playing and creativity. Your demonstration is highly professional Tony; for a very sophisticated keyboard arranger. Please keep up with the very good work, greetings from Egypt.
This is a brilliant demo of the PA5X. The best so far. I was disappointed with the Official launch, but this demo shows the potential of the keyboard. Well done Tony.
Excellent Demonstration. Very professional. Best I have seen to date. Thank you for your effort.
Excellent demo, thank you! This keyboard is fairly mind-blowing...
That wobbly stand gives me anxiety! Thanks for the demo.
Another brilliant demo. Thanks very much for showcasing this machine. Currently own a brilliant Genos (which I bought from Bonners). I do like the look and sound of this korg. Would I swap....NO....would I add to.....definitely. Call it greed 🙂
Such a lot of work goes into making these videos. Thanks Tony
Every time Tony demos a keyboard I want to buy it! Great as usual 😊
Tony always brings it. Other reviews, except Korg's own stuff, I've seen today have been poor so far, focusing more on getting stuff out soon rather than uploading something good. The first review to really demonstrate the excellent sound of different instruments thoroughly.
Only missed the guitar and mic interface demos .. .

Inspirational...many thanks Tony!
Excellent demo as always Tony!
Those round robin drums really sealed the deal for me. I was programing drums an realized how annoying it was having the snare sound exactly the same for ever hit even when I modified it and layered each hit with a different snare. I knew i had to grab this keyboard
Great work on the demo. Hope you get the business. I wish I had seen this last week. I bought a Roland. Nice, but this is an awesome arranger.
wonderful Presentation, thank you for this and please stay safe..
Takes me back working at Dawsons Music decades ago. When doing a keyboard demo, you need to learn loads of short bits of music you can use for all the different sounds. Once mastered I could sell to virtually every customer that was interested. Happy days.
I say this: if musician plays good it be sound good on any keaboard, especially higher end. Encourage you to teach children while they young to play it be easier when get older to handle complicated arrangers or workstations
What an impressive quality of sound.
Amazing keyboard!
This is the best Performance on You Tube. You show in a very professional Way this fantastic Keyboard. Perfect filmed, very good explained and a good Sound Quality. Great Job. If I live in Great Britain I will buy one in your Shop. But I am from Germany and will buy it from a Local Dealer - Sorry :-) You are also one of the Best Performer! Very sympatic (sorry for my bad English)
Wow! What a great keyboard!
What a fantastic demo. 👍👍Best regards Ben
Still on my wish list...hope someday I can own PA5X
Love the big screen!
Thanks for showing us the korg my friend owns a kronus which is absolutely brilliant
I am thinking of buying it. This guide will go a long way in helping me get the best out of it.
Glad to hear it!
Thanks so much Tony for this excellent demonstration. The sounds and features are outstanding. My only problem is with the keyboard stand . . . it is not stable. Perhaps another stand would solve that problem. Best wishes, Jerry.
enjoyed your detailed demo on this new arranger model very much. Always a pleasure watching and listening. But if I get one I'll never get anything else done because it's way too much fun...and that would be a problem:). What does the PA5x look like in the dark? Take care...
Great - tx for the presentation.
Today I had a chance to play this amazing keyboard loved it ❤❤
Great Instrument. Thanks for this presentation.
thank you very much for this review.
Thank you for a very nice video. I am Japanese.
KORG is a Japanese musical instrument maker, but since arranger keyboards are not popular in Japan, there are few opportunities to see them at musical instrument stores, and only Pa1000 is sold. Unfortunately, PA5x is not available domestically.
I was surprised at the high-class appearance, high sound quality, and high functionality of the KRONOS2 and Pa series.
Currently, the yen is depreciating, and it is difficult for individuals to import high-priced products from overseas (though they are Japanese products, they are not distributed). I envy those who live in the UK and enjoy PA5x.
Ah, the pain of having to import your own product. Just curious though, what about Yamaha Genos? Its availability in your country, I mean.
@@abohsukampret YAMAHA Genos has not been released in Japan. KORG is an affiliated company invested by YAMAHA.
YAMAHA is focusing on the music classroom business, and its main business is Electone. If the arranger keyboard becomes widespread, it will not be possible to do the music classroom business that has greatly grown YAMAHA. Because of that, we can predict that it will not be released in Japan in the future.
Genos is only on display at the corporate museum on the premises of Yamaha headquarters. Arranger keyboards are little known to Japanese musicians and music lovers.
@@hiro_taka it’s interesting you mention Electone because that is only available in Japan. But on the surface it looks like the Electone and Genos/PSR series have common technology under the hood.
With Korg, as far as I know the PA series is developed in Italy so it is kind of a European product.
@@mudi2000a not really electone is also well known in other countries like the Philippines. I used to play on the electone before I got my korg M1 paired with a Roland MC50 sequencer. Thank you!
@@armend316 yes well in the 80s it was also sold in Europe. I had ( actually still have, still works after 40 years) an entry level model back then.
Great .. but i wish if you talk about the Audio microphone and vocalist
You are great keyboardist ....awesome you are
This keyboard is my dreams. Thank for sharing video.
WOW Korg PA5X. So beautiful
Super demo
I just happened to watch this video and your Legend 70's demo, back to back. They are of course very different animals in regards to their use cases and functionality, but I was struck by how, IMO, the instrument sound quality on the Legend was leagues better!
Great demo. The only drawback(if you can call it that) is that there are so many more mechanical buttons & sliders that there is more chances of them giving way over a period of time with dust & humidity!
Always use a Nylon cover and clean it carefully and periodically. Also, please keep it in a dry place and away from Heat and Dust.
@@Ahmad-vw5uw Well, this is the arranger keyboards are all about, is taking them out to live performance in dusty gigs. They're not meant to be indoors lol. Manufacturers should've always considered that.
You don't think manufacturers consider that. I have 3 Korg keyboards from the mid 80s that are still functioning like new and they were definitely gigged hard!
@@hienvu1714 Yes, the manufacturers do consider this but obviously, the conditions are not the same everywhere. In the 80s I had a Korg M1 & those buttons gave me a lot of trouble. I finally had to get rid of it. No matter how well the buttons/sliders are built they are most prone to dust.
Wow very beautiful sounds ..now i got confuse within yamaha genos and this obe.. ove day i will obe of this
J’ai acheté un pa5x et je suis très très satisfait de ce clavier
awesome. I have a PA1000 which I haven't fully exploited yet, but the PA5x looks like a major upgrade to the PA1000...
In a year or two, you may have a sucessor to your Pa1000.
Thank you Tony
Has KORG PA5X in the search function also to find chords instead sound, styles etc, in YAMAHA TYROS and GENOS it has always a list of chords examples in the search function. thank you 👌for example: how you can easily take a chord F#7(b5)
5:31. Thats a beautiful patch and song
Who knew Mark King was demoing keyboards!!
Video thật sự bổ ích 😘 Thanks
Thank you with love from iran 🇮🇷
Mantabb nih udah rilis
The styles sound much less cheesy than the Yamaha Genos and allow more freedom to improvise.
Thanks Bonny for demo wonderi g is needed to buy also speakers or thus one have oen speakers self.
Awesome sounding keyboard! Does it include Korgs latest innovation, "After Touch?"😉
Thanks for this very good demo :-) Do you know if the PA5x can send the auto created accompagnement notes out on the midi out so that these can be recorded in a DAW? Best regards Thomas Heder
Can you assign chords to the pads like with the Korg M3? That keyboard was a beast for it's time. I want to know if this can replace it Midi wise.
ooops quite new very interesting
I've got Pa4x one
THIS IS IT !!!!!🤩
I have ROLAND E-500 from 90' , hmmmm. I can't imagine how I can learn to play and use the capabilities of this equipment ?
Maybe I save the money and buy this, but what next ? I will need the teacher anyway. And the money invested must be returned 🤑
Best regards
very cool. It's like a Clavinova less the large piano cabinet and price
the Pa5x is like the time they came out with the Oasys I liked the Oasys pad setup more convenient under the screen better than the way over to the right pads
Big Korg fan, starting with the 800, 3X and current 4X. Always have been disappointed with the acoustic pianos, but this model sounds promising in that department.
The piano samples have been borrowed from the flagship Kronos, Nautilus workstations as well as a few EP sounds from the SV-2.
That arranger keyboard is one power house when it comes to features and quality. I can only dream of having one as the price is way out of my league. Nothing wrong with dreaming they say. Anyways I really like your reviews and in depth analysis of all products you demo.
Very good piano
WELL PRESENTED!!
Yes. But please, use a better stand next time, to me the wobbling was quite distracting :)
This equipment is hella nice
Looks great big Touch screen with lifting options 👍 hopefuly not a dull LCD green but sound voices seem to be very articulate we can hear 👌👏👏from but only Just 600 styles that's weird may be few Indian styles on it , we need great Indian professional atleast 50 to 75 styles to buy this for the price we pay ☹️🇨🇦
BR how many Indian styles and voices are in this PA5X also combined two styles to play alone which is superb 👍👍but I think some styles may not play with right tempo which may sound very odd🤔 also I saw one WARNING from other video with screen shots this particular model has so much bugs and firmware updates with error which gives freeze is that true have you faced any ?? Also I have a experience with Korg customer service which is one of the world worst care service 😯 Let me know Thank you
Extraordinary 👆
Im still deciding should i go for PA5x or Yamaha Genos... but i think at the end it will be Korg. Main reason is that Yamaha lacks sampler and for me having to fiddle with files and to transfer them using USB is not quite elegant solution.
To the Korg Engineering Department, thank you.
Super demo Tony.. Et je vois que le clavier repose sur un support tres stable.. Sa reference,? Please
.
I've expected more polyphony.... 256. but looks great. I have nautilus 88 just because pa5x was not released. So should I change it? I need the same quality of sounds as in Nautilus...
24 (48 mono) stereo oscillators. No keyboard ever has that many oscillators for a single sound. So given that, I think 160 is pretty decent. Plus they've programmed the patches to not eat polyphony so that's good.
A very entertaining, enthusiastic, and confident presentation. I’m guessing that you didn’t learn all the ‘tech’ during a lunch break…
Tony's a gigging musician and the Bonner's store owner. He's been doing this for more than 3 decades.
cool subbed
I like it. Too pricey for me, but I like it. The feature of blending/mixing two styles was actually done 20 years ago by Roland on their VA-76 using the Style Orchestrator and Style Morphing functions which let you seamlessly blend one style into another. What's old is new again.
Very true. But no-one could understand how to use it on the VA76 :-)
Loved the va variphrase and style switching. However, can you take the elements from each style instead of having to play the stock style
But THE PRICE ??? $6000 +......Insane.....
Nice piano
My favourite ❤ and future ❤ keyboard
Thanks for the demo! In your opinion; Genos or Korg pa5x?
Korg pa5x👌🏻👑🎶
Terrific demonstration...thank you!! What is your opinion of the sound quality vs. the Yamaha DGX 67O?
Is this one worth 5 - 6 times the cost of the Yamaha?
No it doesn't sound 6 times better than DGX 670 😂
@@MirceaNaghiumusic thank you...i will consider the yamaha DGX @ $900
Most of the sounds of this synthesizer in this demo are really unimpressive. Electric guitars are bad, Organ sounds are horrible, brass sounds are bad, orchestral sounds are bad. Some good piano sounds and synth layer sounds but nothing more. At this price no thank you.
@@luisl2066 entonces es mejor genos y psr sx900?
On the Pa5x arranger is it available the Backing step chord sequence like on the former model pa4x? If ok I will buy it.
Yes
Super
Best demo so far specially the songs but man $5K 👀👀
Супер!
Hi! my husband is a blind pianist and he likes the pa5x korg very much. is there any way to program physical buttons so he wouldnt news the touch screen?
I have a Korg Pa 3X.
I don’t have the manual book for how to save the whole data in the usb?…I will appreciate if you can teach me how to to do the saving!🙏.
Thank you.
Raffi Nazarian.
When this k board software is going to have he standard sequencer with editing and quick record?
Can you import your own STEMS for BACKING TRACKS & if so how many Audio Files can you playback simultaneously. are you able to playback vi the keyboard itself as I noticed their is no SD.
So much control.. I wonder if we will get these goodies on the Nautilus 2 if it ever arrives.
Nautilus is a temporary product designed to hold a market spot until Korg can finish working on their next-gen synth. It is sort of like the FA from Roland.
@@ablesam That makes sense.
I am used to Tyros 3 Arranger work Station so my Question to you TONY is this. Will this keyboard allow me to have auto accompaniment and Transpose? It does sound wonderful by the way. I am self-taught and find that presets are advantageous for my performance. Thank you. Another Question. I use a Bose Tower speaker so is there a L/R out receptical.
Yes to all 3 of your questions. I'm getting rid of my Tyros5 and buying the PA5X.
Can you change styles on the fly using the physical buttons or must I use the screen and have the styles page always on?
No physical buttons for the styles, all embedded now in the touch UI.
Hallo Herr Bonners
Would this be considered a direct competitor of the Roland Fantom? What are the main differences in capabilities?
Hi Bonners, is the hammer action the Korg RH3? Cheers
No, Fatar keybed.
I would like PA5x 88
I'm looking for a workstation that can emulate real instruments really well. This one sounds great. I'm only using it in a studio, so I have access to great sounding plugins, but I like the idea of having an all in one workstation. I already have some really nice synths, but I'm looking to be able to emulate pretty much every kind of real acoustic, electric, wind, string, brass, percussion, etc.. instrument on the planet. This one is up there in price, so if I did get one, it would more than likely be B Stock or used.
Why get a workstation if you are in a studio? VI's will serve you way better (in terms of sound and control) than a dedicated keyboard arranger or workstation. The purpose of hardware multi-timbral keyboards such as these are primarily focused on live performance rather than studio arrangements.
VI's buddy! VI's !!
Do you know how to separate octav for upper1 and upper2 on korg PA5X as PA4X can do it. for example I want Upper1 octave+1 and upper 2 octave 0 or -1. thank in advance for your kind assist.
please, where do we distinguish between korg pa5x international and korg pa5x musikant
Is it possible to use this keyboard only with the switches? Is it accessible for blind
Hey Korg Akai MPC 61 key has enetered the market n raised d bar ....Isn't it time for Korg to upgrade d Pa series to be able to do more professional studio grade work by incorporating a fully functional editable high quality audio recording section instead of mp3? Kronos has 16track audio which can be added to d Pa5x or Pa6x.
If u scared adding fully functional audio cost may increase d cost of d workstation ...you can revive one of Korg previous audio workstation (Korg D 8 or 16, D 24 etc) exclusive audio mixer workstation with special sync functionality to be sold separately. Those who prefer could buy separately. That if Korg wants to b on top of this competition.
Oh didn't I see it already for sale? And who knows how much it costs please tell me?
Really wish i knew this was coming only a couple months after I settled for the Nautilus not wanting to invest the the obsolete Kronos
This is an arranger, not a workstation like the Nautilus or Kronos. And from the software pov, Nautilus is an upgrade to the Kronos. From the design and front panel control section, it is a downgrade.
Hi! One question: Can the Korg PA5x be integrated with a DAW? I work with Studio One and I would like to know if it is possible. Thank you!
i really wish someone had answered this question because i want to know too
