It's not the fact that it's a tiny alligator. It's that there could've been larger alligators lurking in those waters but he still barged into them like a true alpha.
They were there, but they where scared away after the water was roughly displaced by the entrance of the dude's humungous balls.

the alligator was pretty small so it wouldn't cause that much harm. A fully grown one could be a different story though.

I myself have pulled a cat out of the mouth of a 80kg dog and I nearly lost my fingers, so I can only imagine what it's like to pull it from an alligator even if it's a small one.

Yeah. It's harder with the audio in the video. The puppy is screaming, and I'm glad they cut it out because it made me sick hearing it the first time, even knowing Gunner was OK. But I'm glad it all worked out. Nice, wholesome ending to what could've easily ended in tragedy.

We've had a few incidents the last few years where it was a larger one that grabbed a dog and the human went on the offensive. Didn't end well.

I was expecting an actual alligator and not a sample size one. If that was an actual full adult alligator, that pup would've been gone in one bite and no way that cigar stays in his mouth. Glad to see the pup and owner doing well.
