The one thing I missed was the Peak, I could not see anything when I went with the tram because of the weather. But Hongkong as we all know has a lot of food to offer and I explored all the local restaurantsand included a Macao trip with the Ferry which I can really recommend!

Hiya! The views up there are beautiful and I love the way your hair floats on the wind. Hong Kong seems to be a real busy city, how did you experience it? Didn't you feel a little overloaded? The scenery is gorgeous, some Asian countries (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan) are making the most of every wall in terms of art. Cruise with lunch is the best. The birds and flowers look so peaceful. That eggplant looks so amazing. Thanks for sharing your Hong Kong guide, see you in Bohol 🤙

Brought back great memories of our week there in 2017. We stayed in the heart of Mongkok and ate our way around. We found the bird market a bit odd as a tourist desto. Elderly men with their caged pet birds gathering for a chat and a smoke while hanging the birds on hooks. We felt quite intrusive so didn't stay more than a few minutes, The flower market though was amaaazing.
Thanks as always for capturing the places you visit so wonderfully

Welp…this is all *your* fault! After watching your video, I am now typing from our favorite dim sum restaurant here in Orlando as we wait for our order. Happily, it’s less windy here 😂, so I don’t fear my fried rice will blow all over our neighbor! I’m so glad you left all that in. It’s so genuine and we don’t think we’ve laughed that much with you. 😂😂
Thanks also for the honest review of the hotel. I like how you addressed it: here’s the good and here’s the not good. Your honesty is why we trust you. Same goes for the egg custard. Glad you tried them (first one looked SO much better) and explained why you didn’t like the second one. Erin commented that your music selections, which are always good, were especially good on this video. As always, big fan of your b-roll shots overlayed with your info filled commentary. It’s what sets you apart.
Phoebe-you’ve come so far. You’re no longer nervous while vlogging in crowds. It’s now natural and makes us feel like we’re talking with a friend. Glad to hear you’ve noticed too. You’re right: you are now a more experienced and savvy traveler and that comes through in your videos as well!
Thanks for taking us along with you to Hong Kong. It’s a place we’d like to visit and now we have an idea of what to expect. Hope to hit HK Disneyland one day.
Looking forward to next week’s adventures! Safe travels and see you again soon.
    Rob&Erin
PS: I love egg waffles. Your guess was right, they are named so because of the shape. And you’re also right that they can be a bit dry. Need a sauce or ice cream sometimes. We spent a bit of time drooling on the menu (we paused that frame). The hazelnut “sandwiches” looked amazing. 🤤

Ok I have to ask, Phoebe I usually have to go to the toilet frequently. What are the public toilets like or where do you suggest to go when you need the loo? Its my number one concern when wanting to travel. 😅😅

      @travelforphoebe  Před 2 měsíci

hahaha a great question! I saw quite a few public toilets around (I didn't use them) but they seemed to require a fee so you'll need some coins/cash for them. Otherwise, you may like try some ol' fashioned travel tricks like sneaking into hotels or using restaurant/cafe toilets.

Hi Phoebe. Lovely to see your video.
I was watching it while waiting for Andrei (master chief) on your comments.
    To return from work.
We have hopes to go to Japan 🗾.
    It's Andreis birthday tomorrow.
But I love watching all your CZcams videos.
You add sunshine to a very grey Queensland day.
    Thanks my dear .
    Keep up the great work.

I'm learning to like eggs (in general) more, but the idea of them in a dessert was 🤢 to me. Then I tried egg tarts!! I was obsessed. Now I'm on the search for the best one!

For someone like myself who is disabled and needs a mobility scooter to get around, it can be challenging to get to places. 1:10, instead of stairs, is there a ramp to use to take the Star ferry? Also, how would one get through the turn style gates (1:48) to enter the ferry? 6:46, is there an elevator vs. escalator to use at the Peak Tram? 16:10, is there an elevator to go down on the MTR?

I wish I could answer this for you but the truth is I was so focused on filming, I wasn’t thinking of the location from an accessibility standpoint. I’m wondering if there may be creators who specialise in this type of insight! If not, sounds like there could be a gap there for someone to fill 🥰

@@travelforphoebe OK, I understand. If you ever go back to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan or Singapore, will you please be mindful of this? Just whenever you are shooting, can you please also put into your camera frame a ramp if you happen to see one when walking to stairways? Thank you!

Hi Phoebe! Always nice to see your smiling face. And many sorts of delicious food. But,there's a but.I don't like Hong Kong.Too crowded with skyscrapers all over the place. And they have lost their sovereignity to China.I don't like that. But Phoebe, you do an excellent job in difficult circumstances.Without you I wouldn't have watched this vlog. But thank you anyway!😜

Kowloon is a peninsula, not an island coz it is connected with New Territories n China , Hong Kong Island was given to Britain as colony during war, n the Kowloon n New Territories was rented n needs to retain in 1997,by 1997 the whole 3 places were returned to China
