  • I have made an improvement toy eye kit that makes it more user friendly, there are much less steps involved! I hope it helps you make some cool creatures! I'm trying my best to upload new content, but my new promised schedule is "when I can" I have one more video filmed, just needs to be edited.
    Here's new links to my kit that you can purchase and paint yourself! I split it up into three listings to hopefully keep things less confusing.

    I'm so excited about this tutorial! I'm following your original eye tutorials for the Black Phillip mask I'm making this year, and I've been a little bit stuck on how exactly to install the eyes into the mask itself. This is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and building up the creative community!

    These look amazing and this tutorial is great whether you use the product or not. One suggestion though is to update the Etsy listings titles to let the buyer know it's a pair of eyes that they're buying. It doesn't seem to say until deep into the description section. Maybe even adjust the Quantity dropdown to "1 pair" etc? Just for extra clarity :)

      Thank you! That's a really good suggestion, I'll go make that change now!

    This tutorial is so good! I was just wondering if adding the black stuff on the back in the last steps was necessary? I want to make a mask with some eyes like that that I can see out of. It’s ok if it’s hard to see or if there’s another way to make it able to see out of. But anyway tysm for the tutorial. Def will be trying this!

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  Před 11 měsíci

      Thank you! It's not strictly necessary, you can try it out and see how it works! The concerns I would have: 1- the clear dome may fog up 2- the vision would be very tunnel-y but if you can come up with solutions for those considerations, more power to you!

    Im planning on making a aarokocora cosplay for next Halloween, these tutorials are gonan be super helpful! Should i make the head foam (other then the beak) or make the whole front of the mask resin?

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  Před 3 lety

      When I made mine I did the whole face a resin mask. I'm much more comfortable with foam now so that's what I prefer, but either way should work! Even worbla or another thermoplastic over eva foam for the beak could work too!

    • @skeletalsquid6804
      @skeletalsquid6804 Před 3 lety +1

      @@KazplayVideos i might go with foam for most of the head as I've seen more fursuit videos with that. I also dont have much mold making skills so i think that might be a stretch for me haha. Thank you so much for responding!

    Thanks for this. I ordered the original eye kit but felt overwhelmed, so this really helps. I'm wanting to add small LED lights behind the pupil and if you've done such a video, haven't found it yet. Is that something you've done? Like, of COURSE she has!! = )

  • @MalonzeProductionsGaming

    This will be much easier.. For my Bear costume, i used the green upholstry foam and made the eye lids that way. then to make it not porous, i coated it with silicone, then i painted it black.

    Have you considered making negatives of those cast eyes? So concave, so that they follow you?

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  Před 3 lety

      I designed these eyes specifically so they wouldn't have a following effect. The go to method for realistic following eye (that you can use this same eyelid method for) is to print out a eye on photo paper and glue it to the back of an acrylic or glass cabochon. It's works well!
