The defeat of Sutekh was the cheapest and laziest writing I’ve watched in a long time. God of death defeated by a bungie cord and a non-canonical ability to whistle the Tardis controls.
It is canonical that the Doctor can whistle to control the TARDIS, it was proved in the 10th and 12th Doctor’s eras. He wasn’t defeated by a bungee cord, he was defeated by being tricked back and letting his guard down because he was so blindly focussed on the mystery. It’s nowhere near lazy writing
@@NotAgnor I don’t know when he could have whistled to control the Tardis at 10. But for 12 I think you’re thinking about the episode The Return of Doctor Mysterio. He doesn’t whistle to control the Tardis, he whistles so that Nardole knows to move the Tardis to him. Russel T Davies created an incredibly compelling mystery but I don’t think even he knew what to do with it. The directors and producers would have to bring Russell T Davies on set to explain the convoluted plot, only for him to confuse everyone further. I reckon the kind woman may be Mrs flood. Maybe she is going to help Cherry somehow. She knew what a Tardis was. Maybe she can travel somehow.
00:37 Bit of a underwhelming reveal if anyone has watched the finale, but I’ll give it to Russell here as he wasn’t lying, just was slightly misleading
I see what you mean, yeah, but tbf it was vital and nothing would work without it
I think the kind woman isnt Susan....its Jenny and Ruby Sunday is her daughter.
People really be having another "everyone is the master" phase with claiming every woman is Susan XD.
55 minutes is not extra long, 75 to 90 minutes would have been better.
That's a full on movie at that point
Russell 55mins isn’t that long 95% of Chibnall episodes were 50-60mins long
Gotta be Susan
All I want is for cherry to get her cup of tea! Idc if anyone dies
It would be nice, though I doubt it's Susan - as he left her on Earth - not on some distant planet.
a VERY long time ago, I doubt she just stayed still, perhaps the time lords brought her back to Gallifrey, perhaps she hitchhiked with some friendly space travelling species. maybe she met someone with a vortex manipulator and has been travelling across the stars.

55 minutes to do sutekh appropriately, solve mrs flood, rubys mum, why susan triad kept appearing everywhere, harbinger and probably more that ive missed..... yeah this episode is going to be a mess
The doctor’s daughter?
what a load of rubbish it all was 😂😂😂😂
Plot twist, it's another Clara
Or Bill. ;)
So basically the doctor and ruby are siblings.
The kind woman is their mother 😂
The kind woman gives the doctor a spoon that he slots into an old TV screen for no reason and then she dies... How is this important to know. And Rubys mother? Just some random person who has nothing to do with anything. Its like his big master plan this season was to raise up everyone's expectations and then utterly disappoint. Great work (he says sarcastically)
The spoon was vital because it was one of the last remaining tangible and permanent things in the universe, everything else was dust so the screen needed that memory, it’s a parallel to the VHS being needed for the time window. For Ruby’s mum that was the whole point and I thought it paid off brilliantly tbh
@@NotAgnor Deluded lol it was a snoozefest and it wrapped up horribly I love RTD and the episodes this season, Dot and Bubble wrapped up beautifully I was almost in tears, this was horrific and he had the nerve to say it was bigger than The Parting of The Ways, Journeys End and The End of Time Part 2 ABSOLUTELY NOT here is a quote from him about it.

So at the end of the day, they had no choice but to force last minute sloppy plot points to make it work.
Maybe Sutech was in the watch fob
Does this man have an original idea in his head? I thought you hated older fans and older Doctors Russell and so why are you constantly using ideas from Classic Who?
