Here is one thing people should remember about the DPRK, its citizens are an immovable rock, when they have an ideology, an idea and a vision, they push forward with it no matter how many times they fail, they are resilient, part of the reason why it didn't collapse with the Soviet Union, part of the reason why despite sanctioned, continues to exist and was not reabsorbed by the south unlike east Germany, thats the reason why they now acquired nuclear weapons and is arguably far more advance then majority of countries in Africa and Latin America and is considered a menace by the UN, because it never gives up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and dessert you.

Wow. It's so incredible that they were able to grow back so quickly after the most devastating war in their history. Here in NYC, it took us years of mourning just to get back from 9/11 and rebuild after the twin towers fell. I can't imagine what it must have been like for all those Koreans to have to build back up one of their most important and ancient cities entirely from scratch.

I’ve seen glimpses of NK when CNN visited there, and it looked a lot a lot more developed than the US propaganda that says the country is vastly poor and underdeveloped. Knowing about the U.S. bombing of NK makes it is very understandable why the NK has worked so hard to develop and protect itself from potential outside enemies.
