Remember folks it’s against the law to stay inside your car while pumping gas. You need to be outside with it to prevent things like this. Use to work at a gas station and having to clean up these spills are such a pain. Please be responsible and just wait it doesn’t take that long. Also no you don’t get a refund it’s your fault for not being out there with the pump handle.

I honestly never used a pump that didn't stop filling up even over the smallest amount of backsplash. Did one of the girls cover the sensor/inlet or something? It looks probably staged, but is it physically possible , even in the US?

That gas one is why they say to never leave the pump unattended. The fill sensors do malfunction on occasion and that can be catastrophic. I even had it happen to myself once while I was looking up - I wondered why my shoes suddenly felt wet. Driving home with the gas fumes stinking up the car was terrible.

1:24 This happens because the gas nozzle is not functioning properly, someone has broken the gas nozzle by pumping extra gas in their tank to round up the number after it already shut off the nozzle. So you always should be next to the pump, a lot of gas stations in Ontario have removed the locking handles, I find these at the Native reserve only now.
Sometimes you will find a pump that shuts off immediately when you pump gas, if you know it's empty, just pull the nozzle a little bit out of the tank and it should pump fine, but I wouldn't use the nozzle lock and keep an eye on it.

It wasn't the manager who hired her boyfriend and let him get away with stuff, it wasn't the stupid, incessant micromanagement, it wasn't the store being understaffed, it was those certain types of people that seemed to waltz in specifically to make your life miserable. The Karens, whining about how the store closer to her house was more 'respectful'. The Debbies, who came in with a coupon (which expired last week) for a dollar off a pack of yogurts and then pitched a fit over it. The Alicias, who berated an obviously single dad to tears in front of his children for using food stamps. I got fired for that last one.

@@Animanarchy Also rabies (for people). It's so scary because as soon as you're testable for rabies, i.e. have symptoms, there's a 99% chance of fatality. But the vaccine treatment is 99% effective if you get it right away after a bite. Dogs in the US are basically all immune to rabies tho

As a Walmart employee myself I can fully relate to that man. When you work retail (especially at a Walmart) you kind of start to hate humanity real quickly. If you don’t in just the first two weeks, then you will in just the first month working at Walmart. Trust me when I say this, I know this and there’s nothing that you can tell me that convince me otherwise.

I've been doing nothing but pushing carts for 4 years because I wouldn't have the tolerance for that. Or the managers, either. And once in a blue moon somebody gives me a tip for helping with their groceries, or I just find a couple bills on the ground. Most likely I'd probably get in trouble for talking to people too much, and for complaining about how poorly managed we are. But being outside, I can complain openly, lol.

When I worked there, I carried a CZ.
Obviously against company policy, but others carried (mostly knives) as well.
Knowing my fellow associates did was a huge deal for me.

Ironically to society's opinion, carrying made me a far better person and employee.
Especially in regards to customer relations, learning to respect life/death was a huge step for me.
And ultimately saved me from suicide, and worse harming others.

The gas spill was a costly lesson. When I was in college (4 decades ago), gas actions were full service. The attendants (that pumped your gas) would put the nozzle in place and then go wash the windshield, check the oil, etc - - while the tank was filling, because it shut off automatically when full. Once those were ‘no more’, while holding the nozzle in place at the self serve station - - it would also turn off automatically.
I’ve seen that petrol one like a million times and I always think to myself, who the hell gets back in their car while refuelling?!?
Pretty much every gas station I've ever been to was pre-pay, so there's no risk of any spilling. You can usually sit in the car until you hear the gas pump click to let you know it's done.
@@mindmaster323 Why would you go sit in the car? It takes a minute or two to refuel the car. One should probably reconsider their lifechoices if standing for a few minutes is too difficult.

If you prepay for $20 more of gas than you need because, oh I don't know, you're not perfect at guesstimating what it'll cost or too lazy to manually put in an exact amount, it's can for sure overflow. And before you say "well the pump is supposed to stop when the fuel level reaches the nozzle", I refer to the above video as exhibit A in why you NEVEL leave an active fuel nozzle unattended. Shit goes wrong with shit, and that auto shutoff may not work as intended.

I got mixed fealings around the stuffed dog clip. on the one hand he skipped sit-training completely and I wanna believe that dog gets well taken care of but on the other hand it's wrong to have a dog complying, not because of hours of commitment, bonding and trust but because apparantly dad beats up dogs that wont listen, in other words: trauma

I’ve been in asset protection at walmart for two years and it’s genuinely tiring dealing with people like this. I’ve had customers act like this all the time and I’ve had some threaten to shoot me. Yeah stuff like this may be funny to those who haven’t had to work yet but, when you barely earn enough to support your family and it’s the only job available. It’s enough to make anyone snap.
So called "customers" have been doing sh$$ to annoy floor employees *forever*. It's not just in retail either, I worked on the casino floor in one capacity or another for almost 15 years. Same disrepectful stupid shit crap played for laughs. The media used to get it out there changed but the bs has not.

1:10 that happened to me while playing softball, i managed to run from first base to the home stretch despite being the slowest person in my grade and fell as i was getting to home, and so i didnt have time to get up and just rolled to home and actually made it, that one point made us win the game and i am still proud to this day
