I’m so sorry we live in a world where we have to tell people to be nice. You aren’t spending your money on drugs. Your extra money is being spent on art which makes you calm and happy. I have a ridiculous amount of Cross Stitch, but I’m happy, healthy and my bills are paid. Don’t you worry we love your stash and are excited to see it ❤
I just knew a comment would come in that would be nasty unfortunately. I think sometimes just because I’m a mother I get more “hate” comments because I spend my time or money on myself. Which is perfectly fine! Lol. My child is very spoiled but my channel isn’t about her ya know. I just wanted to make sure people knew if they left a rude comment they would never be able to comment again. 😂💖

I was a knitter first and used to feel slightly guilty about my sock yarn stash…until I was under/unemployed all through COVID. I always had something I genuinely wanted to work on and never had to “make due” in any way. It was a huge boost during a really hard time.
Now I kit my favorite crafts whenever I can. I look at it like a savings account :)
Exactly! I love having a stash to “shop” from. It’s the best. And I can knit many sweater from stash yarn which is a huge plus for me when the mood strikes!
Listen lady, don’t you feel bad or wasteful! You’re so young you have plenty of time to stitch them all up! I’m pretty sure I have over 100 projects kitted up and I’m 55. It’s JUST SO FUN!!!!!!! Loved your kit parade!!! XOXO Heidi

First of all, love the hair! You are lucky to have an LNS, it’s great to see fabric and floss in person. My son lives in Maple Valley so I’ve been to Thread Needle Street. As far as the number of kitted projects you have, it’s your business. I appreciate seeing them and I find kit parades inspiring. It’s not frivolous to invest in things that add joy to your life. And hobbies make us more well rounded people. I’ve been stitching since the 70s and was a monogamous stitcher. There are so many more choices now of everything. I have stitched for many years, all through my children’s growing up. People could be so condescending and would say to me ‘I sure wish I had time for something like stitching, it must be nice’. For awhile it bothered me as I was a
Mother of 3, worked, went to school, and volunteered for everything my kids did, and yes stitched. At some point I was able to just ignore them but if I had a channel I would block them as well.

Yes to everything you said! That is exactly how I feel sometimes, like I get more judgment because I’m a mother. It sucks that you as a mother can’t do something just for yourself without feeling some kind of shame or actually being shamed. 😞 I finally decided to just say something in my video though because I wasn’t going to have people being rude to me over the stuff I work hard to buy myself lol. Not anymore! Thank you for making me feel not so alone in those feelings 💖. I appreciate you!

Love grandpas sleeve and she runs her Etsy store so amazingly! I recently purchased from Tabbycat linens and omg the gorgeous linen! The lollybrauch and crème brûlée were to die for! Customer service means so much and with both of these companies, I can’t speak highly enough about them. I find this important to mention as I have experienced a stitching company that treated me awful so it gives me a new appreciation for kindness when doing business.

Good to know about those shops! I also have had some bad experiences so I try to mention now when I have a good or bad shopping experience or how shipping went etc. it makes a difference when you can actually trust someone with you’re money!

I really enjoyed seeing what you have kitted up. Made some notes for those that caught my eye. I sometimes worry about kitting up too much as some of my fabric count preferences and pattern choices I find change as time goes on. I just wish I could stitch all the things as quickly as I see them ❤
Oh my goodness this totally happens to me! I think I will for sure use one fabric and then when I pull it out completely change my mind lol. It’s always nice to have some extra fabric stash for sure. That’s definitely where I could use some beefing up.

Hi! Lots of beautiful kits to choose from! I love your passion for stitching! Your hair cut is darling! I love it! I have long thick hair and often wear it in a braid or an updo. I’m thinking about getting it cut but I’m old and afraid I’ll look older if I get it cut short and then I won’t be able to do my side braid or updo. Maybe I’ll just have two inches cut off🤷🏼♀️. I like the way yours is curled. My hair never stays curled, I’m lucky if it stays curled 10 minutes.😂 thank you for sharing! Happy Stitching!
I also have really thick hair and always worry when I get cuts that it will look too full around my face but this is the first time I can really say I absolutely love my cut! I say go for it. It’ll grow back 😁😁 I use a curling wand to get the textured waves and it’s SO fast. Love it. Happy stitching!

I love your kitted projects. I have several of the same because I am such a fan of Halloween, and I have tons. Hang on to that HATS project. Someday your tastes may lean toward a reproduction sampler. I love the stories of those stitchers included in the booklets.
Please buy a special lovely blank book and record a pattern title per page and number the pp. Then make yourself an index in the back starting on the last page working backward starting with page 1 and title. These titles will slip your mind as time passes. You can go back when you start and record fabric and any notes. Trust me, years from now you'll walk past that piece on the wall and think...what year was that, title or fabric?
