I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖
If you would like to see more of our life at the chateau, please go to our main 'Chateau Diaries' channel:
/ thechateaudiaries
Michael, please visit Lalande so we all can see youuuu… you’re awesome! Thank you for all the gifts you sent for Stephany. I enjoy seeing them too they’re very stunning and wonderful. You have excellent taste Sir. ♥️♥️♥️
Another fun cadeaux! I thought I'd pass along this small tip for Lancelot. He may be teething and that's one reason why he's getting a little "bite-y". What we used to do for our pups is to get some of the sort of dish clothes that are made of cotton in a coarse weave, cut them into 2 inch strips and knot them together in twos. Then we'd get them thoroughly wet, squeeze them out and pop them into a ziploc bag and put that in the freezer. When Lancelot's gums are a bit sore and hot you can grab one for him to have a good chew, cooling and massaging his gums with the cloth. When he's finished chewing (it's a good tug of war toy too!) you can toss them into the wash and then freeze them again.
What a great tip, never thought of the gums being sore.❤️
Hanni is hilarious 😅. Her face expressions are worth a TV show 📺. Love to all of you, Brigitte 🌷
Wendy is wrestling a mini tiger 🐯. Michael T. Is a legend! How are we going to live without him?
At one point in this video, you mentioned that you all have never met Michael T!!!! I was blown away by that revelation...all this time I thought it was someone you knew, maybe a part owner of the Chateau or a lifelong friend of yours/the family! You simply MUST have him as a guest at some point to the Chateau!!!!! As everyone has said: his "prose" is superb and his gifts to the Chateau and you all are as well!! Michael T has exquisite taste, a fantastic sense of humor and is a very smart guy!!
Correct me if I am wrong, was it mentioned at some point that Michael T wrote that he was unable to travel anymore?
@brendagraw3729 I believe you are correct, but couldn't absolutely state this for fact. ❤
He's not a real person, that's why.
😊
Blue sweater looks great on Hanni
So many beautiful things! It’s so nice seeing Hanni again, she has been missed 😁😁😁
I do love the unwrapping of the wonderful things sent from all over the globe. It must feel like Christmas every day.😊❤
Stephanie I didn't want a dog either...but my husband did...I loved that dog so much. He gave us so much joy.
In the USA during the 50s-60s, it was a hobby to buy porcelain and hand paint it as you theorized. My Mother was quite fond of the painting.
To clarify-the early 1050's through to the 1920's in the U.S. was the height of the cottage industries of women artists as well as a pastime of genteel ladies to decorate fine plain white imported china like Limoge.
So nice to find this video in the middle of the night I'm struggling to sleep. Sending love to Stephanie and everyone at Lalande. Alicia from Florida. ❤
Me too! Midnight here in Tennessee!
Almost 10 o’clock here in California, not sleeping any time soon 😊❤
@@ginafinch8657Hi Gia I am in CA too, in Fresno. Don’t you just so enjoy LaLande?
Sorry Gina sp
I’m watching in Northern California at 11:30pm
That sweater is definitely Hanni’s color! 🩵💚🩵
Just a thought: I always find it insightful and amusing how a bouquet of roses, with its rich colors, delightful fragrance and delicately patterned petals, is seen by some as a thing of beauty to be admired and enjoyed while others see only the thorns. I say, "Open mind, insert joy."
Sweet Williams are the longest lasting flowers. They last for many weeks in the garden. Xx
I love Michael's taste! What beautiful gifts from everyone.
Watched this today on the treadmill in the gym and I didn’t even feel my workout 🤣 I was smiling all the way through, my fellow gym bunnies must have been wondering what was so great on the TV ❤️ Thanks for providing such a happy and delightful distraction 🤗❤️🏴
Great episode today! Stephanie, you have so many talents. One that stands out is your oral reading with such expression. Audio books orator could be a future job.
Oh that "groovy baby" lavender crocheted outfit! So cool 😎 ✌️🌼🌺☮️ And Havilland plates!!! Wow!
Thank you about your comment on my disco outfit
A friend was wearing Samurai sword earrings, hand made so that they pierced her ears. The blade attached under the ear. That part disappeared and so my children ran everywhere looking for the back blade at a wedding. They went under tables, just everywhere. As a joke, I said, "Look in your brassiere!", as a joke. A sister used to lose her earrings there, and found one in an ice bucket.
It was there!... In the brassiere!
Wow, we really must meet Michael T. 🤗❤️🌈🙏🕊️
Wendy was such a sweet puppy sitter.
Please don't stop the unwrapping of gifts. It all goes to a good cause. I will miss watching you all😢
The cuteness overload of dear Sir Lance alot, he should have his over channel of ( The Legendendary foot travels of Sir Lancealot) with a gopro on his harness documenting his view of the world whilst hes growing up at the Chateau. Puppyhood is so short!
Typo, his own channel. Sorry.
So glad to have Honey back. Amazing in that sweater. Slay, slay, Honey.
You're dog/ My dog is the joy of having a fur baby.
😂😂❤️🇨🇦
Lancelot might need his puzzles or a chew toy during cadeaux! 😂
Michael T great gifts as always 👏👏👏
Wendy’s face with the dog. OMG 😂😂😂😂😂 😂
Yes Wendy’s expression was worth watching, i thought she was going to explode a few times! Lancelot certainly stole the show😂😂😂
Two thoughts. Maybe Travels with my Friend will have a special edition “Traveling with Hannie”. Second, if Michael T is unable to travel to Lalande, perhaps you could travel to him? 🤷🏼♂️
The dog he thinks he’s a cat to trying to climb on the back of the couch
I think every woman needs a Michael T in her life. What exquisite taste! ❤
Oh the excitement for Lancelot, smelling the scent from each package. His little nose was working overtime.
What a great Cadeau. Lovely to see Hanny & Wendy & your beautiful aunt. Michael T is so generous & lovely. I’m really going to miss Cadeau when it finishes. I have watched it from the beginning & am blown away by people’s generosity & good humor. It’s wonderful to watch. I hope one day we get to see Mr T. There’s no other channel like Cadeau Love it!❤😊
Anyone notice that Lancelot is in absolute heaven? He is enjoying every minute of that soothing head rub. Hugs from Houston ❤
Beautiful gifts again, thanks for sharing.
I think Lancelot is desperate to go on to the floor.
Those little felt animals are so cute luv the earrrings.
Such stunning generous gifts. Thankyou for sharing them
That was so much fun!
I think Wendy has found a new, little friend.🤣
The Doily: my grandmothers and great grandmother made many beautiful doilies and the ones that had parts like the roses were soaked in starch or a thicker sugar syrup and the petal parts would be raised up so when they dried they were textured like actual flowers . It’s fairly easy to do but sometimes we had to use toothpicks or wads of tissue paper or plastic to keep them raised up till they dried. They also made some pineapple shaped ones as well. Another winter craft project?
Lovely to see this video, it made a fun Friday evening to spend the time watching you all 🥰🙋🏼♀️
Such beautiful gifts
Oof, did philip really invite himself on the girl’s trip to the Maldives? Lol
Tante, you dress so beautifully. 😊. The plates are lovely😊
I could see Dana the chef in that purple outfit😊
Beautiful gifts as usual ! So pleased you will do a Christmas Cadeaux! Lots of Love xx
Both Stephanie and Phillip have great voices and I would hear them sing a duet
WOW that pink sweater perfect
Wendy is such a celebrity to us lol
Same here
The sweaters and blanket are gorgeous! 🩵🩷💛
Thank you about your comment on my knitting
Efficiency earnings!! 😂❤
What a blessing
God bless Michael T😮😮😮😮😮His gifts are so stunning.
I bought little animals for my Christmas tree today. Well. Lancelot is VERY cute and entertaining. Love to you all.
I love the chain belt comment from Wendy! I had such a 70's flashback!!!
As always, beautiful and very generous gifts! 🙏❤️
Would you please give an update on Percy and your mom please
Love this Cadeau. maybe just do 1 every month or every 6 weeks
If someone made a movie with Hanni~I would watch it ! You are just such a wunderful spirit like Steph also
Yes!
Would you please spring for a better microphone system..with Phil behind the camera his voice is dominant and the others are muffled. I'd like to hear Stephanie clearly.
It's so nice to watch people who love porcelain as much as I do. Have you ever seen RS Prussia porcelain?
Everything is lovely ❤
Beautiful sweaters luv lavender set
Love that you have. Little bit of Dubai with you in your puzzle 🧩 sending you love health and happiness from Dubai ❤❤❤
I think Lancelot & Wendy are fast friends. ❤
The little handbag was my mother’s so it is probably about the 1930’s as she would have been in her 20’s after 1933. I don’t think she ever used it
Just wondered why Lancelot can not go onto the floor?
He is on the floor a lot upstairs or on the heated floors but not the cold ones.😂
I can see Philip working at Limoges.
One of the best channels to watch this Chateau Unwrapped its just so much fun .
When Davey found that yellow rose that was planted in the courtyard it probably was yellow. I have had yellow & pink rose + pink Hibiscus turn white!. There was a lot of coffee grounds that I threw there. It forever changed the color to white.
I have been watching for quite some time, but I’m unfamiliar with the two ladies other than your aunt sitting beside you? I always enjoy seeing your aunt and uncle.
What a lovely letter from Jess (a fellow aussie hehe).
I have been thinking this for a while, but Jess' letter is a great example... Maybe instead of gifts, just letters? I so love hearing all the stories from all around the world x
I’m sooo happy you’re continuing this MAYBE.. Ihave had a package to send out for some time, and now I can send it. maybe it will be opened next year. Even if not on camera I know it’s something everyone will use. Phillip you need to start a channel for Lancelot. Can call it Lancelots Great Adventures, heaven knows he’s already a world traveler.. Could be a, “where’s Lancelot” game. YOU can be HIS wingman. Thanks for doing this video, made my holiday evening more fun.
I love to make Oysters Rockefeller. Yummy. I found my mother's black velvet tapestry coin purse after she had passed away. It is so beautiful. 🙂🇨🇦
Just put 2 1000 piece puzzle together my husband and I.
I luv Zienias and Sweet William .Zienias in Ontario are annuals . My Sweet William comes up every year.
Always have fun and have big smiles watching your videos. Hannie is so quick and humorous, the exitement of you Steph, Phillips quick way with quips, Wendy taking care of cute little Lancelot....just a lot of fun!
Yeah I always says “the early worm gets eaten.” 😆
Beautiful gifts!
Thank you Philip, I'm drinking fire ball . It's very chilly here.
My mom woke me with
Get up little birdie
Get out of your nest
You should be up and about with the rest.😅
Lancelot is probably teething if he is biting a bit. He needs chew sticks and toys. I adore him.
I adore him too, I want one just like him
Me too ❤
Someone needs to find those doggy buttons they can be taught to use for words.
I remember several years ago that you did individual interviews during advent. They were great as we got to know the background and lives of many Lalanders and to listen to how they arrived ar the Chateau. it's a form of human curiosity I suppose. Please could you consider these again ? Hanni (excuse spelling) is most fascinating for example and I'm always intrigued to know her more. It helps to understand human journeys which intrigue me whether they are from past centuries or current now.
My way””was written by the late French singer Claude Francois and was titled “” Comme d’Habitude””!
'Gotta luv' Michael T. Fabulous taste and wit! Or is Michael P?
This is Grandma from Texas. Maybe y’all could suggest people can send items that you can resell in your little shop. Y’all could use proceeds to help fund the Chateau restoration.
Stephanie said If they can't use the items, they send the items to the local charity. They don't like to resell. ❤
Thanks love you Guys !!!!!!!!!
Amaury has a brother?? Will we meet him, now that his parents live in France?
Please invite Michael as special guest for your Christmas Cadeaux... 🫶
Lancelot acts like a dog that needs a break outside.
Poor Wendy, she looks uncomfortable with the dog.
Philip, you’re slipping! Stephanie, you have “chandelears” while wearing those earrings! 😂
I just purchased the audiobook version of The Blue Rose. The reader, Karen Cass, is stupendous!
I've had the Maldives on my mind recently, too, after watching some travel vlog youtube videos about it.
You must check out the Huntington Library & Gardens in San Marino California....they have recently had a new rose named the Huntington's 100th rose.....it is very close in color to your lalande rose you are searching for...... I have been a volunteer over 15yrs in their world renowned gardens........ Hello 👋🏻 from Southern California 🌴 Annette V🎉
A note regarding the Haviland plates: Haviland Limoges was the first company to have artists on site to decorate their plates Many other porcelain companies had their plates sent out for decorating. Haviland artists would sign their plates, sometimes on the front, often on the back. However, signing the plates was not always done and depended on the status or rank of the artist. It also depended on the period in which the plates were produced. For your set of six, it can’t be said with certainty whether the Haviland artist or the plates’ eventual owner signed them though It’s more likely to have been the artist.
Philip that made me laugh because the only thing I can say in Danish is I love you so I don't say it very often
Thank you Wendy
Wendy didn’t look too impressed ,don’t blame her .
The Haviland plates are for decoration only, Mom has a set. They are to be hung on the wall.
I adore doing 1500 pieces puzzles.
Speaking of Percy... how is the youngman, Stephanie? Maybe I have missed an update?
I think Isobel commented in a live recently that he is doing better. He is speaking again, eating and walking. I suspect a long recovery.
Stephanie, you have been searching for the lost LeLand rose for so long. Have you thought of developing a new version? I’m sure someone in your viewership might have the expertise to make that happen for you, or maybe Davie knows someone that could develop the rose again. Just a thought. Love watching your videos!
