You are going to need outriggers stabilizers or its going to flip over. Its one thing to flip over in a canoe 🛶 or Kayak but something that large and heavy it needs outriggers

With a project like this even a failure would be a great success. It might come as a surprise, but most of us don’t watch your videos to learn about boats. It’s that Ayo rizz that brings us all flocking to your videos. That and Gravy. Ok, it’s mostly Gravy.

I can see that if your out on a weekend fishing trip with Davy , just being around him fishing all day , your going to get a good peaceful nights sleep in , kinda like the feeling you get from jumping into a nice warm bed on a very cold winters night . Davys a great person & absolutely hilarious .

I have to say that this is why your channel is the best on the tube. Your content is great but the work you put into making something for a video is way beyond everyone else’s. Keep up the good work, and anytime Davey Gravy is in a video, it makes it even better.
Best boat build video I've seen in awhile. Imagine the possibilities with that boat. Hammock style seat nailed on. Cutting board right on the boat. Gotta have a beverage holder drill in. A fish ruler carved in top rail. Also build a front nose cone for rocket speeds. Bamboo stick depth finder and push rod. Epoxy the whole exterior with clear and interior epoxy with the look of water, rocks, moss.

Love this canoe build...The S.S. POP LURE!! You could chisel out some spots to screw down 2x6 planks for seats even wrap them in some type of padding / cushions. Maybe some RGB running lights down each side and bring along a battery bank for power. Maybe some pontoons on each side to make it more stable so you could stand up and cast. Can't wait to see what you add for upgrades.
This was a great way to spend 25:31 minutes of my day!

It turned out really well! It be cool if you filled the cracks with blue resin and put lights in it like one of those live edge resin tables you see on Instagram etc. And I agree with Gravy, it needs cushions! It could also use a bow to make it more hydrodynamic. I think after a few upgrades it could be truly epic. Love videos with Gravy! Ya'll have such a sweet dynamic and Ayo really watches out for him. Which is awesome. Now you just need to issue that challenge to the Townsends for a dugout canoe-off! Lol!
Hey ayo! Got a little boat building experience! Total boat makes epoxy and thickener that will act as bondo but with a structural durable bond. Where as bondo is more of a filler and used to make smooth paintable surfaces. (Cosmetic). For what it is though it’s awesome!! But what I was getting at it’s look up stitch an glue construction boats! Just a little beed on the corner will hold the hole boat together and last forever!

As a woodworker man who does it for a business I really enjoyed this series and I hope to see many an expansion on it! I can def give you some ideas and tips to easily make this project next level man! But regardless love this project man :) glad it worked out.

I absolutely love this project.
step 1 add some benches with underseat storage space. maybe make them with the ability to flip up to make rooms for a sleeper. next attach some floating outriggers to each side. either also made out of smaller holloed out trees or maybe some of those plastic 55 gallon barrels. insulate those barrels. have 1 out rigger be splint into a live well and cooler configuration and the other side outrigger be split into gear/tackle and snacks/ what-have-you sections.
ayo has jumped to my top like 5 youtubers to binge on..ever since he started restoring ol boats ive been hooked been watching since the start of the channel keep it comin my doods!
Ayo always brings to us things most people would never think of doing, good thing you had those classes on laying fiberglass. Once again Davy trusted you. Looked like a lot of fun.
One more thing this year me and my bFF have been best friends for 37 years. I prob won't be around to see you and Davey in 37 years but if I were a betting woman, I'd say you will be going strong! Love how you two care for each other and how you're like a big brother always watching out for him and he you.

huge fan of the floating bass blind! i say pimp that thing up a little bit. put a coating on it to really seal it nice, put some seats in there. it looks pretty stable overall, so yeah run that girthy girl!
