DIVINE LITURGY SUNDAY OF ORTHODOXY

Holy Diocese of Jinja & Eastern Uganda:- The #ekklesia dedicates the first Sunday of Lent to triumph of Orthodoxy over all heresy including iconoclasm which happened after the restoration of the holy and venerable icons. His Grace Bishop Silvestros of Jinja presided over the Divine Liturgy assisted by Fr Chrysostom Koolya and Hierodeacon Moses Ssekubunga at Holy Resurrection Cathedral.
We the Orthodox Christians believe and confess that God became flesh, assumed complete human nature and dwelt among us (John 1:14). After His Incarnation, we got a chance to see Him and became describable through the holy icons we have preserved up to today.
