You have been my professor this entire semester! Thank you! I just recently been diagnosed with hashimoto disease and I now understand what exactly is going on. The only thing I do not understand is that my endocrinologist said the antibodies are in my blood blood the thyroid is functioning the way it should so she didn’t give me meds and said to eat Brazilian nuts for selenium

Just left a question on the previous vid but I really feel like I'm following the breadcrumbs with you so I'll ask again :) . I think I get everything you're saying, but here's the thing...
I'm a 41 year old male "subclinical" non-autoimmune/non-hashimotos hypothyroidism sufferer. Have been for the past 25 years. My TSH bounces back and forth from 5.5 to 8.5. My T3 and T4 are in range. I struggle to put in weight if anything. Perhaps I shed hair, get depressed/ lathargic more than normal, it's hard to say when it's the only life you know. So where's it going wrong on the axis?
I've wasted so much time managing diet and such over the years to find out it really only applies to inflammation/autoimmune issues. I'm very lost and don't feel my case represented out there at all. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
