Great to stumble across your St Bathans video. I live 20 minutes away, and that's my favourite swimming area. As you have seen, it's an area that survives on farming and the mining history as the main tourist attractions. There is a bike trail that was originally for trains, dismantled a few decades ago. Thousands of visitors to Central otago every year have cycled the 151 kms between Clyde and Middlemarch, usually a 4 day event, and now it's popular for e - bikes and the not so fit tourists joining in.
Thanks Glen and Mado. Hopefully you will encounter many more kind hearted people (like Alana) on your NZ travels. ps love your cosy car set up.

Hey Rob! its such an incredible place to travel especially if you do it the way we do. we bought this car at the start of our journey, we bought it the way it is. we basically just push the seats forward and put the stuff on the seats while we sleep on our comfy bed. we would basically use all the gyms as we have a membership or sometimes just jump in a lake or so. we never use campsites and mostly use the free self contained spots with toilets. we probably have paid for 1 camp site since we began.
