Pumpkin Pie
Yield: 2 Pies
796mL Pure Pumpkin
4 eggs
2 Cups brown sugar (packed)
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 Cups 10% half and half cream
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and thoroughly mix.
2. Ladle pumpkin custard mixture evenly between two pie shells.
3. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. Then lower temperature to 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until a sharp knife comes out clean in the middle.

1 pound of lard
1 egg
1 Tbsp vinegar
Instructions:
1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and lard together to make a fine texture.
2. In a cup put the egg and beat it with a fork.
3. To the beaten egg, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
4. Fill cup with ice water to equal 1 cup of liquid.
5. Add the liquid egg, vinegar and water mixture to dry ingredients.
6. Mix well and roll out.
7. Do not handle dough too much

It looks very nice, but I thought custard pies needed to have the shell baked first and separately from the pumpkin filling?
Very good question. I have never had any issues. I don’t use a thick crust so maybe that helps. I’ve made this recipe 100s of times and it is well loved by many!

Can i make it with regular sugar ???? i dont have brown sugar where i live !!!!
I'm sure that will work just fine! Brown sugar is just white sugar mixed with a small amount of molasses. So if you have a small amount of molasses, you could make your own brown sugar!
