How Quickly Do You Forgive After Heartbreak?
I feel it all depends on the person, the situation and maybe the time frame of the relationship. I believe if you have a strong and real support system that yes getting over a heartbreak could take less time to get over. But if you are alone and don’t have faith to fall back on than it can be more challenging for a person to get over a heartbreak.
Personally I move on from things easily. I have no idea how but I think it's a Gift from God. I forgive easily.
People disappoint and if you hold on to hurt for too long you hurt yourself more than the person that hurt you.
It's not easy but I pray God gives everyone the strength to guard their heart the right way🙏🏼

Ngl I don't think I've had heartbreak but I've been hurt by boys before. The longest it has taken me to fully forgive has deffo been 3+ yrs cuz I thought I had forgiven but I hadn't

Yess, honestly when I found out Tamera was leaving I avoided watching new videos of The Real for awhile because I was afraid it would feel too different with her gone but I’m so glad I’ve started watching again because Garcelle really does seem like such a perfect fit with the other ladies! Like I don’t even feel like something is missing the way I thought I would. The show still feels whole and I love that. Garcelle is great

But, you did say something which was pretty insensitive, and so, I thought that it was important to point that out to you. People who have gone through it are all human, and no two humans are the same. Everybody reacts differently. Some victims need to be treated with more respect and understanding than others. Your comment hinted that you were stereotyping everybody as the same, it was also partially untrue (some people do need to be treated with more care, as I've stated here above), and it seemed like you were trying to state something with assertion as fact when you had little idea about the matter. I know for a fact hearing her testimony now.. when it came to being a mom with two young kids and then having a successful career and a marriage to juggle... I’m sure it wasn’t easy having to put on a face trying to fix things or just leave the situation but you made it and we are here to applaud you for making the best decision and can look at the fact the grass was TRULY greener on the other side without being in something that was no longer sacred due to the covenant that was broken because of the infidelity... you are not a survivor... you’re triumphant !!!

I agree with garcelle i went through a divorce and when your giving it your all you never think that the person would cheat or hurt u so horribly but it happens and what made me keep pushing was our daughter she needed her mom life don’t stop so I can’t say I’m at the forgiving point just yet but I’m a work in progress !!!!!!

I think it’s not about the time but when someone is truly ready to receive the apology that was yet to come...it may take years to receive an apology but sometimes you have to forgive even if said person didn’t apologize within a certain time frame... sometimes you’re out in a position to move you , and inspire you to get out of a situation that wasn’t meant for a lifetime but for a season and has now led you to a new place in life where you can look back and say “ thank you for making me learn about myself and know that when I know better , I do better an deserve better” it will be a great to know you’ve learned from the hurt you’ve experienced!
It took me about a year and half to get over a very serious heartbreak but thank God I grew thru it

Absolutely! Powerful message. Of the 5 relationships I was in, only 1 cut me like a knife when we ended things. For the others, I knew they weren't really in love with me, and to be honest, the feeling was mutual.
But I have learned with age to understand breakups happen for a reason. Most of the time it is God intervening to save you from heartache. It hurts initially, but after some time passes we realize it was for the best😘

I really like Garcelle as the new cohost. It took me a while to profess it but she has been perfect from the first day.
Producers if you are seeing this, please spend some time coaching the ladies in listening to understand rather than waiting for their part. The conversation topics are great and interesting but they talk over each other and it’s incredibly jarring to listen to. Please do something to help them have more harmonious conversations where people speak one at a time.
