Decision. What Decision?
Years ago I was embroiled in a painful personal conflict that involved betrayal at the highest level, but came to realize the greatest struggle took place in my mind, so I wrote something I think we can all relate to now and then:
The row of jurors called in turn,
Step out from shadows of my mind,
Familiar scene by now well learned,
A verdict, but never an answer find.
Cast down a raging river of blame,
And add with angry tears we cry,
Revenge the play that ties the game,
It's tooth for tooth and eye for eye.
Yet sentence spared and life to live,
All malice gone without a trace,
When those forgiven, then forgive,
As freely gained, give freely grace.
One more life lesson from the great Jason Ricci. So many great moments from you and a lot more to come! Love!

Hi J, I’ve been following your music and YT channel for a few years, even before I got into the mental health clinical world and before I embarked on my own sobriety journey. I have always known you as a man who is genuine, pushes for positivity in the world and willing to face his demons. This is another example of the kind of man you are and what I’ve observed. I don’t know what the drama was about, but to walk away from negativity and preserve one’s happiness is key to the self-work you’ve been doing. Ps. You look healthy man, you come a LONG way

Jason... I've followed you since your very first posting. I haven't necessarily agreed with your life decisions/choices, but I've always seen you foremost as an honest person, and secondly as a very talented musician who's so sure of his capabilities that he's willing to help others improve and achieve their goals with the harmonica. In addition, while teaching specific licks you always give credit of the originator, or those that have inspired you. All of this shows me your true character and that you are heads and tails above most people. While I seldom pick up the harp anymore I still watch all of your videos I think because I almost think of you as an extention of my family. Hold your head high and think good about yourself.
Jason Ricci is an exercise example in human growth. I've been watching him on/off for the past several years. He's an extraordinary talent, even if he doesn't think so.
I'm really happy for him he's got it together now. Not many overcome things in life. He could have been some homeless guy on the street somewhere, but he's not.
Life is an experiment, some turn out better than others. I try not to judge anyone anymore.
Jason, don't know what this is about, don't wanna' know, don't need to know. Obviously, this message is from the heart - that right there makes you a better man. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. PS - I saw you earlier this year at the 443 Social Club in Syracuse, NY. Great show, thx, but it wasn't THAT cold! LOL!😬
I probably need to heed your advice as well. I’ve found myself sucked into some arguments on social media and have started to realize it’s all pointless in the grand scheme of things. Your legacy is what you make it. ❤️

I was sitting in the hospital next to my dad while he was passing with cancer March 2023.
My brother who had been the favorite refused to visit dad in the hospital.
My brother was given so many opportunities. He was financially helped by my parents and grandmother.
Yet he was not mindful or appreciative.
Well dear friend can’t fix that. So I create the happiness I want to have. I am grateful and mindful of every struggle and bump in the road of life.
Better to be spiritually prosperous than to be spiritually poor.
Thank you for a proper example.
Jason, I feel for you. I hope your spirits will be lifted. You deserve the best. I’ve learned some of my most valuable lessons about not just music, but life as well from you. Stay strong!

I don't follow social media much (I dont have the patience for it) but i think the most important thing in life is the difference someone can make to the world. U have made a positive difference with your online harmonica lessons and your music. Always an inspiration. Stay positive and healthy and don't let anyone drag u down. Some negative ppl out there.

I quit Facebook back in December and I’m much happier.
You are obviously like me, a big Teddy bear and you have a kind heart. I had to come to the realization that my dreams will not be coming true but it isn’t for not trying. No regrets though.
Now I’m like you. I am a champion for others and will do whatever I can to help them along the way. To me it will be better to have been remembered for that than for being a sideman for some big act.
So now I’ll just make music for the reason I started; the joy of it. And if someone along the way has their day brightened because of something I played than I will have done my
Job.

I just want to say i learned i. The first video i watched that jason was way to advanced for such a beginner to take much away ... But i still come for jasons positive attitude and life lessons and maybe just maybe some music tips and shortcuts to bot waste time ... You know, either way you're not wrong in this. Protecting you and your team's work is completely valid, but I understand that there's a sustained level of negative focus that has to be levied in order to go that route. So, I think it's good you brought it to light, let your fans and friends know what's going on, and that you really sat with it to make a choice that works best for you and the other people involved.
Good boy! You have shown that you are superior to him in this too. You don't need to do anything about this matter, perhaps you are not fully aware of how popular you are among harmonica players and beyond, and how much your work and teachings are appreciated. If one day you have time it would be nice if you wrote a manual on "how to learn to play like Jason Ricci"

Haven't been on any social media for a few days. Don't know what I missed, but I hope you know that I have nothing but respect, admiration, and friendly affection for you. You and I don't agree about everything, but I've long since learned that as long as someone's beliefs don't pose a demonstrable danger to themselves or others, there's no good reason to fight about it. Again, I have no idea whether we would agree on the issue in question because I missed the whole conversation, but I do know whatever it was wouldn't make me stop loving you.

Like most who follow your posts, I didn’t see what happened but sounds like you encountered disturbing negativity which can come out of the blue on social media in a shocking way. Hope your ok leave it behind it will fade. We all appreciate the time and effort you put in. On another more positive, I saw a video of your partner Kate singing the blues with your band at a radio station recently. Great voice and she did a great job on that song. My compliments to her. Onwards and upwards.

Blimin' ell...when I first saw this vid I froze & thought OMG ! not my flippant comment about the Bavarian Crazies; but u hav liked that so its ok. My sense of humour is not widely appreciated as I have had comment(s) removed here and there. Its just me trying not 2b generic...Many people (and I am one of them) look forward to your posts and respect that u invariably like and/or give a nice comment which is always kind, friendly and constructive...I can only assume the button that was pushed was extremely nasty, very negative and just so downright uncalled for that u just 'had' to bite momentarily but then thought better of it😀 I am looking at my Jason Ricci option 2 'C' Harmonica that Tom made 4 me right now, I play it everyday...I bought it because I wanted a Gr8 harp but also because I like u as a bloke (guy) Thank You x...Stuart ( my actual name) 😀❤😎
