It's so weird hearing Sam being a serious actor. Someone earlier on in campaign 1, a guest I think, mentioned how he was a lot more serious at work, suit and tie and everything, and he tended to show up late still dressed up near the start of the campaign, but it's still so hard to imagine. I've probably heard his voice so many times but never recognized him for this reason.

Anybody who doesnt think that this was a good game is a person that isnt willing to see two sides of a conflict and how it just becomes this endless cycle. It was an amazing game.
or they can see the flaws in the game for what they are, bad story pacing, bad character introduction, and a bad ending. seriously the game could have been good the controls and graphics are a marked improvement but dear lord did their writer get hit in the head or something? cause seriously the story is a mess, it seems out of order, you have no reason to like abby when she decides to go golfing, and the ending was about as stupid as you can get.
heres a better ending and same message ellie finds abby only to find out she already dead and is denied her revenge making everything shes done truly pointless, realizing this she helps lev bury abby and returns to Jackson where we see her playing the song Joel taught her.

this is a case of they put the carriage before the horse and when people called them out on it they wined like children. the game was a solid 5 but if they hadnt fucked up the ending and pacing it would have been at least a 7 maybe even an 8.
@@MrEcoho That ending isn't really a better one. If anything, it's more empty than the one we got. Ellie being forced to let go of her revenge because Abby was already dead wouldn't have given the same message at all and it wouldn't have given Ellie any closure either. Part of the message of the game was being able to _choose_ to let go. To _choose_ to break the cycle and learn to move forward from there. It's that choice that allows someone to heal and start anew. If Abby had already been dead when Ellie got to SB, Ellie would have taken a lot longer to find peace and come to terms with everything that happened (if she even could at all). There's always a void and a feeling of unfinished business when something is taken from someone rather than if they choose to give it up.
