I really enjoyed this video. I got my invisaligns during covid too, since June, 2019. I am still wearing them today, and my last one will be sometime in February 2022. I started when I was 68!! But it is so worth it and wish I had done this years ago. It touched me to hear how much it affected you. I am going to do a video on my experience, as an older woman taking this journey. No one has really answered but if you go over your treatment plan i’m seeing people need extra trays. Does anyone know if they cost extra or they are included in your plan? I dont want to start my journey then be hit with loads of hidden fees
@@Sashalovesxo Hi! I had to have another x-ray and fitting for new trays since my teeth shifted, straightened but I did need more trays. All this was included in the original price. So, I did receive an extra set of trays. Now, my ortho is saying that my top teeth are done, but, tomorrow I am going back to get metal braces on my lower teeth to finish up my treatment. These are also included in the original price. I am sad that I have to do this, but it'll be a fast transition to straight teeth. I wasn't aware that invisilgns took longer. I would have gone for metal in the beginning, and they are less costly. When you have your consult, be sure to ask them if additional trays are included. They are usually very upfront with the details. Good luck! I'm so glad I did this!! I love my teeth, and I don't care if I have metal braces at 69 years old! lol!! xxoo

I can relate to alot of the stuff you're saying. I also used to have my canine teeth sticking out and I also used to have my 2 front teeth overlapping. I also hated having all that stuff stuffed into my mouth but I was also very desperate to finally get the aligners in. My process will probably be finished in February next year.

I’m on Tray 17/18 and I feel like they are straight looking at them but not so much level so I might get some composite bonding to make them even! Your teeth look great

I loved this video full of useful tips 😀, I had my appointment today my total us roughly £2800 for invisalign but I need to pay £342 for some extractions as I have an over crowd, but I cannot wait to start the process it all seems so real after just saying I want to get it done , to now actually taking the first steps 😬😁

Great video, girl. Do you experience and side effective from tooth extractions? My orthodontist also recommended me to pull out 4 premolars. Sounds scary
For my whole life people have said my teeth were fine. But they made me so depressed my whole life. I took the set to get them and I’m getting them in two weeks. I’m so nervous but excited to better myself and not feel so insecure!

I'll be getting Invisalign after I have 2 cavities fixed and 2 wisdom teeth removed. My dentist is also going to have to file my teeth a little bit so its nice to see that seems to be a bit normal. Also to be honest until I hit my late 20's I had never been to a dentist. So this is all still new to me.
That’s definitely normal!! The filing is slightly uncomfortable but you just have to think of the end result! Good luck lovely❤️❤️
I’m starting Invisalign in two weeks time and this video is super helpful! My biggest concerns right now are black triangles and how visible the trays are when they’re in. Were you able to film CZcams videos with your trays in? Or did you take them out when filming?
I'm so glad you found it helpful lovely🤍 Black triangles were also a worry of mine but honestly they haven't been an issue at all! Yesss I was able to do pretty much everything with my trays in - if you look back on my channel you'll definitely find videos from August-March where I'm filming with them in and they aren't noticeable at all🥰
There is nothing in your face that needs to br changed, you’re amazing
With Invisalign on, black triangles are not visible at all. It's due to refraction of light through the saliva that enter the crevices of the trays and in between your teeth which makes any evident gaps between your teeth virtually impossible to notice.
The fix retainers do you develop tar on it? How do you clean it? Do you have to go to the dentist to be able to fully clean it? Wondering because I had one after I took off my braces. I'm on invisalign now and am wondering if its the same thing.
I have a water flosser which helps me to clean it, and then I go to the hygienist once every 6 months🥰

The lisp definitely goes away a lot quicker than you expect! I think I had mine for around 3-4 days before it went away, you also feel like everyone’s noticing it but they’re definitely not!

Hey I just started invisilign how many weeks in total did you have it on for? My dentist gave me 14 weeks but I don’t feel like it will be straight in 14 weeks. I’m thinking about bonding but hopefully invisilign will make my teeth straight and I won’t need bonding
Originally it was around 16 weeks but then I also had a round of refinements which added another 8 weeks! If they’re not straight in 14 weeks then they can always do another round🥰 Hope it’s going well so far lovely🤍

Did you have to avoid any foods when you took your trays out to eat? Finding it hard to eat anything other than soft foods on tray 2 so hoping it improves 😪
My teeth were definitely a little bit sore for a couple of days every time I changed to a new tray - so definitely soft foods for those couple of days but then it definitely improves✨🤍

How long do you have to wear the fixed retainer? I was told 6 months for me
I think I'll have mine for as long as possible🤍
@@HannahFrances - Teeth will always move, so the retainer is something you will always want to have. Make sure you get the Vivera retainers are they are the best on the market. If you want to keep them where they are, the retainer will be your best friend!
Hi, I'm hoping to start this treatment in April. I'm worried about it being a scam... How often did you have to have check ups? Thanks
If you’re having appointments with a dentist then it definitely won’t be a scam! I had check ups every 8 weeks, and if it isn’t perfect on the first round then they can do multiple rounds🥰

I pick up my aligners in 2 days 😬 it’s interesting how much the price varies, however I am in Australia and my Invisalign is costing $9,100 and I had to pay an additional $800 for 4 extractions to make room for my teeth to move. 🤭

@@princessjones34 I am 9 weeks into my treatment, and my teeth are moving so fast!! The discomfort is super minimal, and it becomes second nature to put them in and out. Good luck! 😄
Did it hurt getting the attachment off? I have extremely sensitive teeth and my appointment in 2 days and I’m scared 😟
It didn't hurt at all! They file them off so you can feel the vibration of the file but it isn't painful at all - you can ask your dentist for a break at any time if you feel uncomfortable🤍

Invisalign can range between £3000-£5000, but it depends on where you go and what program they put you on🥰
