An amazing game at the plate, but with having watched baseball for almost 40 years, I am repeatedly amazed at how great Tyler Freeman is doing in centerfield. I mean, this dude never played out of the infield until this year and is killing it defensively at arguably the hardest defensive position. Great game at hitting tonight, and of course even with this small sample size better offensively than Myles Straw....but just the fact there hasn't been a drop off in the defense completely blows my mind. This is a dude right here.
I'm not saying my butt doesn't pucker watching Logan Allen pitch in the same way that it did every time Josh Tomlin pitched (feels at times like every pitched could be a homer), but really great game pitched by him today.
A terrific barrage of Clutch hitting by the Guards today and especially, putting up double digit runs and taking another series W. That 9th inning, Cleveland RP Pedro Avila.....is an awful relief pitcher (lately, he has not been very well in the games he has pitched).....not only blowing the shut out but also making lousy pitches and the defense by RF Will Brennan, not a good day for him. Wow, Cleveland CF Tyler Freeman going 4 for 4 and producing 3 RBIs. Great night for "Free". As the announcer said, the Guards may have found (another) leadoff hitter; while Cleveland waits for LF Steven Kwan to return from the IL in about 2 weeks. Go Guards!!!!
@@johnanthony8305 yes and glad that the twins lost. having a killer instinct separates good from great. this team is off to a fantastic start. they haven't made too many mistakes. that has to continue for this team to contend with as good as the al central has been so far. its still way early and anything can happen. i feel like this team can be excellent if they dont beat themselves. dont forget the self inflicted wounds on sunday when they led 2-1 in the 9th.
Did they take defensive players out at the end of the game. I don't understand how Kansas City went scoreless like Beavis and Butthead. And then started getting points
He usually pitches when there’s a blowout or when were losing late! Lol The defense didn’t help him either with Arias and Brennan. Atleast, he got through the inning! 😂
