Good job! One of the many incentives to get better is not having to find such a big chunk of time to do one run. If to get that down to 3.5, you can run twice in those 7 hours.

I like watching Factorio speedruns from time to time to learn new tricks; like for instance barely 10 minutes in, and I just see the most ingenious method of fueling boilers by hooking it up to electric miners (coal) directly; never had that thought cross me before I feel like most of the early setup I won't use because I just don't like placing production (furnaces) directly on ore fields, but having the miners directly feed into the smelting belt is a neat trick I'd use for early game setup though, usually I have an ore belt, and a coal belt independently AND THEN merge them into one belt for furnaces great video and run!

EDIT: I should clarify I have no made yellow science or even reach it by that moment. I'm simply designing the base while still having only red science and recently starting to produce green circuits an hour into the game. XD
Last time for some reason I decided to make 10 red pots before plopping electricity. I made my first belt factory at about 1: 27: 28. After 5 hours I had red+green and labs. That was 7 hours faster than before. =D One day I'll get to yellow pots... One day.
This game caused me to buy 3 mouse within a year. I also learned the price of the mouse doesn't matter it seems to be all about your luck when it comes to the left mouse button issues.

Most of us folks if there were a hundred proficient factory builders working together would struggle to achieve this level of _speed._ There are just massive design choices ingrained that make even 8 hour runs hard.

Do you ever do expensive mode speedruns? I feel the extra costs exponentially scales: more resources required = more miners = more resources. Up to where you need several patches at once?
