- In a neighborhood town close to New York City sits an abandoned mega mansion worth 8.1 million dollars featuring 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and even a home theater, but that's not all. Situated on the 4-acre plot of land, the property also boasts an indoor basketball court with a viewing center and gym, a full-sized tennis court, a private golf course, and an in-ground pool with a guest house directly next to it. Aside from the modern luxury the property features, there is also a heartbreaking story. A New York stockbroker purchased the property from a well-known architect in the 1940s, and him and his wife and daughter called it home. However, one fateful day his daughter went missing, and a large search party was called to find her whereabouts, resulting in no positive findings. As the search was about to be called off, her body was discovered in a forest nearby with a shotgun lying beside it in a forest nearby. Her parents grieved over their daughter, and soon after sold the mansion to another family. In 2019, it was purchased again to demolish it and build a new one. Come along with me as we explore everything, and uncover the secrets that lay within.

Too bad a developer got their hands on this. Great find and a great share. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words! More to come!
What a SHAME to tear this gorgeous solidly built house with so much character down. Why?
Because a pipe burst?
That damage can be relatively easily fixed. If you have the money to buy the property and rebuild something else, you can fix this place up just as well.
People are so dm wasteful.
I could be wrong but I was thinking the intent was to get rid of the house in order to put their own vision on the property…. So they just turned off the heating system with out a second thought. That is when the pipes burst.
@@brucebeamon5460 Thats exactly it. Bigger homes such as that one tend to be personalized to an extent, and it would be more likely for people to want to build their own rather than live in someone elses creation.
If they feel the need to build a custom home they should buy an empty lot. There are many potential buyers out there that would love to have this home just the way it is.
@@francoamerican4632 its about location. and the neighborhood. the house had too much mold already. so if maybe they wanted to modernized it. the only thing i didnt like about this home, its their ceilings. too low
Expensive to heat an cool.
Thank you for taking the time to show us all the beautiful details this home has to offer.
Great explore! 💞
Thank you very much! This place certainly had some great touches to it!
First time I’ve ever wondered who the architect was that built a home/Mansion they must be turning in their grave with disgust …. It ( to Me ) is considered an ABOMINATION that THIS property is headed into demolition … WHY did the person that bought the property HAVE to use this site for whatever they plain to put here … I’m certain it will not compare to this.
@KevTech1 🙄
@KevTech1 They should build their dream home in a vacant lot or tear down an existing house that's unremarkable aesthetically/historically. Tearing down an existing home to build a new one is wasteful and unnecessary.
That having been said, tearing down the house in this video is justified due to the extensive mold problem. It's unfortunate that the former owners lagged on the upkeep and let it get to such a state of disrepair.
Wow what a beautiful mansion! Such a sad history with this house. Very cool find & video! ❤️😢🤘👍
That indoor basketball court is amazing. Who wouldn’t want to work out in the gym area?! Great Video.
I agree! If I lived there I would be using all those amenities the whole day!
Incredible it is abandoned, and let all this mold to grow
For an old building, likely went through lots of renovations
Great find
WAS IT HIGH TAXES THAT DOVE THESE PEOPLE OUT?
Sad that this gorgeous home is being demolished. Thanks for sharing and preserving the memory of this stellar home! 😃🥰
Thank you for the kind words! It is definitely heartbreaking that a place like that will be demolished.
The basketball court is so cool!
A great find! You did a good property walk thru, and inspire thoughts of what living here could have been like.
Thank you for the kind words! More beautiful locations coming in the future!
That long cement "walkway " looks like an old shuffleboard playing surface. They were all over in the fifties and sixties. Nice home. Txs for the video.
I wish I could be with you on this journey
The last wing of the mansion looks like it may have been a maid or nanny quarters. I enjoyed your detailed tour around this property.
This is James Barrow 😮 this beautiful mega mansion is getting demolished
That's a receiving room at the main front doors Guests would wait there for the owner to come greet them and escort them into the house
That definitely makes sense! Im sure it would have been decorated beautifully too!
What an Amazing House!! Even in its current condition, it is still beautiful! Architecture, amenities, room count, bathrooms and an amazing kitchen. The Basketball Court, Tennis Court, Pool and Golf areas make this location So Unique! Thank you for sharing this beautiful estate with us. The drone footage, in the beginning and end, add an amazing vantage point to the property. ❤
That home should be saved and restored, or at least stall the development. There’s been to many bad development projects lately and something needs to change.
I think the basketball court building might be saved while the rest goes to rubble. At least a bit of it will be preserved.
Bigbankz showed this property but not that gorgeous basketball court
Any more clues on where it is?
@@samanthab1923 I wish I would love to know
I noticed he missed all the buildings outside, so I was excited to show everyone what else the property had to offer.
Beautiful house❤love the episodes
I wonder why the girl KILLED HERSELF?! Did anyone ever say?! What a BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!!! I think the Library is my FAVORITE!!!! Although the little girls room is WONDERFUL as well. The person that decorated this place had such TERRIFIC TASTE!!!! All of those LOVELY WINDOWS AND GORGEOUS SHELVES!!!! Yeah, it's INCREDIBLE!!!! But as GREAT as this place is, and it is, if I lost a daughter here, I couldn't stay either!!!!
It definitely was a very sad part of the history of this beautiful property! A lot of times properties like these have tragic reasons for being abandoned. The library was my favorite room too!!
Or was it staged to make it appear as though she killed herself?
I’ve have enjoyed your videos so sad these homes are left to rot
Thank you! It is always sad to see!
Thank you so much for showing this property you do a wonderful job taking us through the rooms. So much thought and planning has gone in to this house it is far too good to demolish it could be made absolutely stunning once again. If developer's have bought it they certainly have no appreciation to the design. Would make a great hotel with all the facilities they have.
It definitely would be a great hotel with everything it has! The person who purchased the property will most likely build their own creation in replacement to this mansion, so at least the property will be put to good use soon!
I like everything about this house. I love the stonework outside. You covered this house so much better than others.
Beautiful ❤️ home 😍
Tudor Castle 🏰 style -like home 😍
That thermostat is from the 60’s! I’m getting Greenwich CT or Litchfield Co. The acreage & quality of workmanship. A lot of hedge fund guys bought up there only to tear these great old places down. 😮
It is definitely sad to see these beautiful properties go to rubble. Thanks for watching!
@@silenthillsexplorations No problem. Thanks for taking us along 👋
Nice house.👍
It is currently abandoned
Absolutely!
First room you said was dining room you were right that was the formal dining room then the breakfast nook then the family dining room where the little couch was
Which town is it in?
The fireplaces and sinks are marble...
No está en venta la mansión lástima es hermosa debería restaurar en donde queda la mansión
Abandoned? Who maintains the lawn?
What a amazing home but such a terribly sad story behind it rip little angel I hope who ever did it to you gets karma ,prayers to to her mother and father I hope they found little bit of peace and happiness after all that as nobody expects your children to be buried first ❤🙏✝️
Absolutely, the lack of ventilation is why the basement is in such bad shape! Because of that there is no way around just tearing the building down unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
I don’t understand why they need to tear it down… they don’t make them like they use to
What was the name of the family?
Came here from tik tok! So cool!
Thanks for stopping by! More videos to come :)
What a shame 😔🌹
I have been tuning in and in most of these mansions I believe when you see two kitchens one usually is a set kitchen and the other a dry kitchen set kitchen is for large meals and entertainment and the dry kitchen slash butlers pantry would be for small meals baking small meal preparation for the family and for entertaining prep veggie trays cheese and cracker trays etc
Yes that could definitely be it! I think the kitchen in the basketball court could have been used for parties and snacks and whatnot while they have guests over.
Gept.out of.moldl.😢
Michael Jordan..
