Israel proposes pumping water through Chamber based banks or through huge pipes because they draw water from sea. After oxygen processing the water, they supply the water through huge pipes. But India can't store and supply it through pipes to all villages since it cannot manage flood waters.
Canal system is good, but we need more dams to manage flood waters.
Fully agree with you. To add further, I think the maintenance of such conduit system will be huge. Example, removing silts every year, etc. Further, they should have met an engineering student or an engineer to guide those Israeli students. That would have led to a decent debate about what's right and when to use the right system

Apart from increase in water table in the areas in and around, open canals also facilitate purification of water. One has to remember this very important contribution of open canals to environment while thinking of closed pipelines for transporting water for human activities.
Humans are just a small fraction of environment, when we become greedy without considering long term effects of our actions it will eventually lead to bigger disasters.

No offence, but if water Evaporates it is a part of water cycle n form clouds n it rains when required n if water gets absorbed by earth, under ground water level will increase n it helps nature to balance naturally. Trying to stop this natural process may helps to provide water for few more kms ahead, but going against nature will lead to scarcity of resources (which we are facing today).
Yes, true that. Nature has designed this whole universe in a unique way, should never try to alter the balance.

Actually channel is made by humans for irrigation purpose, so it won't affect natural process...since they are not touching rivers and ponds which actually helps in maintaining underground water level..so i feel it's a good idea...
@@sachinms868 channel is just a diversion to excess water, eventually you are stopping evaporation and water cycle. Which will impact the rainfall.
