I think Chikkamagaluru was not called as Kadur district , kadur itself was district in that time {now also it's DC office is in good condition and it was using as school it in K.M. road,near old police station in kadur }. on that time chikkamagaluru was taluk ! later kadur become taluk and chikkamagaluru become district .
Cement road was not built from Berur to chikkamagaluru it was built from Kadur to Mangaluru via chikmagaluru name K.M. road ( Kadur - Mangaluru road ) it start from Ganesha & Anjaneya swmy template in Kadur . Few years back this road was changed from State highway to national Highway so the old cement was removed
