Well done guys 👍
You don't need fake mainstream Media.
Keep up the good work.
🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪
I've got internet opal fever!!! Love watching hard working people making great finds!!! Good luck mate's!!
Justin, I've watched you for a couple of years. I've seen your highs and lows. You deserve every penny.
2:00 This is thousands of dollars per ounce. (Tosses it into a bucket)
Note: Size matters. Treat it better than that.
You guys should make more vids. This was great.
Wow...bloody good show fellas!! Cheers!!
23 years ago I was lucky enough to stay in Coober Pedy.
I can vouch for the heat 😅
I was lucky to visit a working mine and find a tiny finger nail sized bit of opal that I have treasured and display to this day.
Slept underground.
Played golf ⛳️ on sandy course.
Was driven mad by flies
And shared a few tooeys old tinnys with a couple of locals.
Happy memories and with my experience I feel a little bit of the life and dreams you are living.
Best of luck from Northumerland.
If I was an Aussie I would without a doubt be digging in the dirt , thanks for sharing fellas buzzin for ya.
you can tell it's Australia because all the flies are upside down.
Good god!! A real eureka moment. When all is said and done you WILL be millionaires.
Flies look brutal guys! Get it all!
Hey Justin, how about a follow-up video showing how much good material yall found on this patch. It looks like you got some very nice large pieces. It's so rare to find black opal in coober pedy.
An old Opal miner once said to me, "If someone claims to have made a million dollars from opal the part they didn't tell you was over the years it probably cost them 1.5 million dollars to find them?
A couple of good blokes that deserve this well earned find, so many episodes doing it tough getting nothing but you kept on keeping on. Good on ya's 👍
Could someone explain me why so many opal hunters are throwing their rocks in buckets while the opal itself is many times fragile and they tell each other not to bash the hammer on it?
I love watching this, but I don't think I could do it. I can't imagine having to deal with all the flies out there!
Lol, so true, & you must remember do not breath through your mouth ! Lol. 😝
No joke. In another video, I counted 29 flies on the guy's hat, and that was only what was visible. Putting up with the insects is probably a job in itself.
That's the easy bit you just eat a couple and the rest get scared and sit on ya back old Aussie trick lol
@@claytonblyth8623 lol
@@nolamcgrath6036 I would wear a fly net around my head. You can buy these traps that can really get 'em in quantity.I would deal with them,if it were me.I'd get a shelter, water bottles, and chairs and a table. This would be so fun to do(I say,not being the one having to do all the hard work!)
We are just seeing this series in New Zealand now and I absolutely love watching Justin. He so has rhe passion to get his dream.
I don't know how you stand the flies! That would drive me crazy! Great finds though!
Omg!..you guys did fantastic mate!,, keep the color coming mates!
Justin is my favorite opal hunter. He deserves this find. Happy for both of you!
please sell it to Black Opal Direct so we get to watch it all being cut and polished ;)
Black Opal Direct Justin would have a minor heart attac if he was there during that find....
Then he'd do the haka !!!!🤣
If Australia ever finds a way to turn flies into gold they could buy the rest of the world 100 times over.
Like New York with rats
For real.
Apparently the real fortune to be made there is in bug zapper and bug repellent sales.
Yeah that red sandstone
It makes good boulder's too in Qld.
Nice work gentlemen.
So happy for you Both. My Favourite Opal Hunters. You Deserve It
Hi all, finding all that opal makes up fo those days when you found nada zilch zero ........
Excellent work guys....... S.A here crow eater... oi oi oi...
Much love guys - hope you're still doing good 3yrs later! :)
Great find guys, I find lots of fire agate out here in Arizona but I'm still hoping and praying I'll find some precious opal and have a day like you guys had, again, great find.
Congrats on that jackpot!
I find myself swatting at my face with the flies! Awesome find
I'd camping there in the cut so the rats don't get a whiff.
Becareful fellas and congratulations!
The flys must drive you to the brink of going insane
I wanted to see you take it to a buyer, see how much it’s worth.
Thats awesome boys would have been an amazing feeling of relief and excitement.
wicked stuff boys love the excitement haha fingers crossed ya hit that motherlode
Given that opal glows under UV light, I do wonder how much unauthorised wombling around goes on at night by the light of blacklights, picking up bits the daytime miners have missed?
Enjoy watching your searching for opals.
Killer score guys!
These are just a few pieces of silica glass.😂😂😂
Congratulations !!!
Good to see you guys team up! Go the boys 🤙
Justin you are the MAN!!!!
Seems like they destroy possibly larger stones by the excavator, picks and hammering. Hard to imagine the small pieces can be made into anything of value but then they sound happy. The flies would drive me mad!!!
Got yourself an amazing guide an mentor with John
Well done fellas. That’s a good day..
As the best ground petered out, shaft mining is uneconomical, so they dug with big excavators next to the old mines to find the smaller veins and pockets.
you never take a sower or why so much flies around you?
I knew away back, when you got years of local experience and knowledge beside you, it would come up trumps.
No amount of opal/money would get me around that many flies lol
Congratulations!!! You deserve it God knows just for dealing with those flies!!!
You don't need a camera crew. You guys are doing great!
Have any one of you offered a week's vacation to the America's for a guided tour and opal mining at the real mines? Could be a gold mine miracle by itself!
wow those flies would drive me nuts .its like the flies dont bother you good job ...From Ontario Canada we dont get flies like that
LIVING THE DREAM!!!!!
GO DOWN ANOTHER 15 METERS!!!!!
Great job and the black red opals are best!
Are those flys.. damn!
Absolutely beautiful!! I enjoy cutting opal and watching the colors appear. It is so much fun and relaxing too.
You little beauty!!! Bloody great work guys 😎🙌
That is so awesome
I woke my girlfriend up laughing when he said "don't put it on your head ya bloody dickhead" lmao.
I get the feeling that's one of the reasons why they call them rock hounds.
About bluddy time lads, there's some nice colour too, just a heads up keep all small finds as other have been selling for a fortune on etsy, ebay and even amazon, iv been eyeballing a parcel from eBay approx 6 grams, its listed at 5 cts, but either way even if I get that single colour and the rest is poch I really don't care it supports all you opal hunters
Well done Justin. When you could have walked away, you stayed. The harder ya work, the luckier ya get.👍
Guys get a Black tent and use UV light then you can see the veins in daylight
That material looks like an ancient riverbed.
make another of the total amount,QUICK!
Wow wow wow wow wow wow!!! Frikken score, boys!!!
Shows us more, daily digging.
its like finding and following the ripple of fudge in your ice cream ... but a lil better
So fucking awesome! I'm so happy for you guys!
i wouldn't be able to work there without a head net...so many flies
Does Justin still mine opal? Why are you not on opal hunters? Love to know the story.
Tune in to the channel for some new exciting news in the coming weeks
I remember when I was 7 years old I live in a place where they had dirt roads and I saw a rock that had a red streak and it looked like glitter inside , I dug it out of the road there was no traffic about, I carried it around all day and then I threw it into some long grass and only years later I started to think that it could been worth something, but whatever it might of been worth it would have been spent long ago.
Good luck to you both & keep digging 👍
Well done boys hope you find more, stay safe
Cheers! were posting some more videos in a mini series in the coming weeks!! stay tuned for some opal discoveries like no other
LOVE THE EXCITEMENT, AWESOME FIND. ALTHOUGH I CRINGE WHEN YOU TOSS THEM AROUND.

Love it! Goodonya!
Just a few flies....however brilliant find well done
Can't wait to swing a pick up there one day soon I got opal in my blood i found a black Opal all the colours of the rainbow amazing red an purple an the most amazing part of my little story was it was found in malaney in Qld 25 years ago
Happy for you!
At least you dont have to worry about flies
With this kind of find, you'll need to go at night with blacklight.
dig dig keep on diging
Is that why you two haven’t featured in the new seasons of the show due to the film crew thinking there was nothing there?
Great more videos please WA.
Damn! look at all those flies. And they are surrounded by dirt and rock.
Fantastic but is there a market for jewelry these days?
@@madlad8629 Yes, I was wondering with the state of the world currently if people are still buying jewelry.
Unbelievable awesome job 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome lifestyle 😊
I call Monday nights gold night good on em
Justin u look like the boy on the show Opal hunters where in season 2 at the last minute the parcel of Opal saved your skin
Wild guess but I think it is him
@@claytonblyth8623 his partner the little Napoleon wasn’t hard working always looking for tiny trace his gf was more my type she busted his balls that must have been hell when u weren’t finding
@@asjamuir5534 okay buddy

My brother bought podge opal with some bits of colour back in the early sixties for 2 shillings a bag .
Would like to connect with you for Rough and Polished Opals purchasing.
Cracked it
Brilliant! Is that yellow due to sulpha?
It is interesting job
Hey Justin I'd love to come out next season and have a crack at the opal mining game..
I should come and tag along with you and John, I'd make a great hard working addition to your team.
Let me know

What do all the flies even eat there? Besides Opal hunters?
