This is episode 199 of the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN), a review of the Commodore 64 horror games. Freddy and Jason are back with a review of Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th on Commodore 64!! But before that, the Nerd is covering other horror games for the C64 from Psycho, to Gremlins, to Evil Dead, and a few non-licensed games. This is technically part 2 of the Commodore 64 system review from a few weeks back and get ready for AVGN Episode 200 coming next month!

Why was Jason purple on NES? Because the developer in Japan didn't know who Jason is, he had to search for the image of Jason and all he could find is the Friday the 13th Part 3 poster which featured Jason wearing purple.

The feeling of sitting down with a hot meal, comfy clothes and watching a new AVGN episode is that same sort of feeling I used to have playing on my old MSDOS pc years ago. What a great feeling.
This took me back to being 10 and watching the absolute gem (and my personally most rememberable) Angry Nintendo Nerd episode. Thank you all at Cinemassacre. I needed that.
I'm surprised that this episode was barely pushed out by CZcams. I didn't even know about it until I accidentally stumbled upon it through Cinemassacre's videos upload.
Besides the Nerd always has Halloween and Christmas specials he also usually has one come out in spring or summer too this year we’ve had a lot of episodes

"It Exists" are the most profound words spoken in the video. It shows an appreciation of experiencing even a dodgy game of a movie just for that interpretation: to get right in to someone's head as they reacted to the film and envisaged it as a game, back in the same contemporary period that the film came out in. The idea of an isometric Nightmare on Elm Street RPG seems amazing to me.
Well, that game is pretty much an RPG. You collect objects, open doors, solve riddles and puzzles and save your friends too. Also, if y'wanna play it, there is a better PC version.
Kinda like how there were a few Harry Potter RPG games on handheld devices.

Maybe it could be a sequel to part 5, where Tommy Jarvis turn into Jason at the end of the movie, a concept that was canceled in the following movies obviously, both game is from ' 86 and the movie from' 85, that would make sense to me.

_Chiller_ looks like it was trying to be the music video to “Thriller” since it starts out in the woods and then goes to a theater where the characters in the film are audience members.
