    Love your nylon brush tip. Toothbrush and those worked well together. Polisher is fantastic. Really dulls down the solder joins. Window looks great.

    Thank you. I always learn about came techniques from you as I am mostly a copper foil person.

    Great tips, thanks for sharing!! Can you show what type of vacuum you're using? My biggest complaint with lead work is the mess. Your vac seems to work very well.

      It's a Dyson hand held - works well but I worry it will die on me.

    Hi Sophie... I'm new to leading but I have been doing the copper foil method for 2 years now... love your videos as you get to the point. I have a leaded cross which I'm doing now and it's my second go at this process.... may I ask you questions as I get close to the cement process? Dean

      Of course. And don't forget to check out my other videos and my book. I'll always help if I can.

      @@SophiesStainedGlass ....Sweet! Will do and anyway to show you my work as I get into the cementing process. Love your tips on brushes as I'll be searching for those types which you used in your videos. I purchased some cement from PELI out of the Netherlands which worked great on my first lead panel but it didn't require the whitting... but for this panel I'll think I'll try it as you do..

    Hi Sophie, thanks for your great videos. I have a question - how long should you leave lead light cement to harden before you can lift the panel?
    I am making a large panel over 120 x 76 cm. I cemented it a week ago and the cement is still quite soft. When will it be safe to move? Thanks for reading. Patricia Lenihan

    Can you tell me what is the liquid you soak your brushes in thanks

    You are showing the exact same glass I used in two panels recently and applying and cleaning the cement was a pain! I just recently started cementing and am still looking to find some good brushes. The ones I already own are scratching my lead 🙁 Do you have any tips? (I have your book here so maybe I should consult that as well 😬)

    • @SophiesStainedGlass
      @SophiesStainedGlass  Před rokem +1

      You can't avoid scratching the lead to some extent and actually scarifying the surface lead will help it achieve a darker colour during the final polish.
