Love your videos man! Subscribed to your Patreon (cool skull) you are a knowledge god when it comes to 3d animations and unreal! Love watching your videos
hey crazy idea , but i want to make something that look retro but not super blocky and also got that pixel perfect texture. so should i do mix of detail baking and hand drawn pixel ? is it even good idea ? would love to know your idea edit: what i mean is i like for example have clothing detail and normal map and such but also pixels be visible
It's literally the direct I'm heading with the upcoming tutorial and betty bunny. I think its time to fully embrace a retro modern style. A neo-psx-style or something!
@@StarkCraftsYT i agree brother, also i found a tool called pixel8r for substance painter , it's a little costy for me but it seems designed for this exact thing For now i stick with old school till i save for it
@@StarkCraftsYT yeah, well if you found cheaper (and maybe easier) would be happy to see a video about it my challenge right now speed and difficulty of it
A setup in a game engine would be pretty easy, but not webcam support and for the way described in the video it would be necessary for me to test it first What kinda vtuber setup do u need? Or whats the concept of the character?
@@StarkCraftsYT kinda like old school 3d game models where the faces/eyes/mouth were just different different textures, rather than rigging a mouth moving.
😅 just had a commission on Monday for your case! It's a lot of work (because of the texture painting work and uv setup) but actually very easy :) It's only possible through paning around with the texture coordinates in unity. A texture grid with the mouth shapes and expressions is necessary. Anyway, It's a lot to explain. If I'm able to continue with youtube this year i can make a tutorial about it or a specific in detail online course for making retro n64/ps1 vtuber on my website.
Amazing vid! love the idea of humanoid Furby lol
🙏 thanks

you have any tutorial knowledge of uv based texture animating for vtuber blendshape mouths?
