  • Reviewing, IPSC shooting, some first target shooting, short unboxing part and just basically sharing my personal opinions on the CZ 75 Tactical Sports Orange. This SAO, race ready, factory tuned version of the Tactical Sports pistol combines all the characteristics needed for IPSC shooting in the standard (limited) division.
    The ability to shoot fast combined with outstanding accuracy and perfect balance in a more fancy package than the basic TS.
    For those viewers who don't have the time to watch the video, skip to 01:22 to see the IPSC POV part with the TSO, or go to 02:54 for a comparison between the TS and the TSO or skip to 06:35 to the unboxing part of this video. Review on the CZ Shadow 2 coming as soon as possible!
    Thanks for watching! Best Regards! JSSC

    Thanks.... I just bought this gun after watching your video, holy hell is it an awesome firearm! Mine ran me $1800 before tax but I had them throw in a free range membership for the year into the deal!

      Thanks for watching buddy. It is an awesome pistol for sure...You pay more in the U.S. due to the import. As far as I know these are still exclusively made in the Czech Republic and shipment to Europe will cost less than shipment to the U.S. That is not even considering import cost etc. For example : an M&P 15 Sport II in 5.56 will cost you 700 dollars in the States and we out here on the Continent will be paying 980 Euros minimum for the exact same gun... Anyhow...congrats on the CZ TS Orange.You won't regret buying it :-)

    Very nice. I have been unable to locate one of the TS Orange so I just took delivery on the original TS model. Sorry to ask on this video but you never answered the question on the original TS unboxing video. You put a beautiful set of black grips and magwell on your oringinal TS and some of us would like to know the part number on the grips/magwell. CZ custom on has one set of grips (Silver/Medium) listed for the TS. What grips/magwell did you upgrade with?

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety

      Hi there Stephen, first of all thanks for watching. Sorry if I forgot to answer your question, must have overlooked it...I made a short video on the upgrades I have done to the CZ Tactical Sports. You can find it on my channel. In that video I include the part numbers I used for magwell, grips and sights. Concerning the grips. You can order the short ones for use WITH magwell and long ones for use WITHOUT magwell or standard magwell. Take a look at the video. You will find these parts numbers on www.ipscstore.eu and also on the CZ-USA website . As I live in Europe I orderd my parts on www.ipscstore.eu. The part numbers refer to their site. Best Regards.J

    I've watched both your tac sport videos, I'm actually debating now. I can get the base one for about $1100, the orange is $1750. If I bought the base one I'd add the adjustable rear, the comp hammer, aluminum grips, and get the extended baseplates. If I get the tso all I'd do is add the extended base pads. Hmm. I don't know if it's worth the extra money. I do like the changes but no local stores have them in stock so I can't actually tell witch one I like better

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety

      Pretty difficult choice I agree! The basic TS is a very good pistol. The thing is; if you want to upgrade with only adjustable rear sight (which I would not do because the rear sight on the standard TS is awesome and can be used as a slide racker ) comp hammer, aluminum grips, and 3x extended baseplates the price difference is probably not really worth it... But close...On the other hand, if you are upgrading with all the above AND magwell, fiber optic front sight and stainless steel guide rod, some extra recoil springs,back up slide stop and main springs than you're probably better of going for the Orange straight away. That price is pretty reasonable... Out here in Europe it is about 1600 Euros... Best Regards

      @perraultd Před 7 lety +1

      The TS is great. I have both. The TSO is worth the premium. Yes, you can upgrade parts on the TS, but the TSO has a much better frame, and replicating that would be costly. The deep scalloped backstrap, the undercut trigger guard, and the checkering all make the pistol much more comfortable and easy to hold.

    Thank you for the video & comparison, because I am very satisfied with my shadow I have ordered a TS orange as well in .40, I have read online that it is possible to simply exchange the barrel for a 9mm barrel + use 9mm TS mags in order to convert from .40 to 9mm. Do you maybe have any experiences with converting it? I would really be interested in doing so as in Austria 9 mm is about half the price of .40 (20 vs 40 cent/shot). - .40 however is nessecary for shooting IPSC standard division major. Thank you & keep up the good work :)

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety +1

      I think it could be possible, haven't tried it myself...
      I think a 9x19 barrel into a 40 TS mightl work, for sure not the other way around
      In a TS the 9mm barrels and 40 barrels have identical outside dimensions, so yes it will fit, but you won't be able to chamber a 40 round using a 9mm slide because the breech face is too small.
      Chambering a 9mm round with a 40 slide works because the rim of a 9mm is smaller than the cutout in the breech face. The extractor is the same part for 9mm and 40, but they are not in the same place on the slide so if you shoot 9mm with a 40 slide you're grabbing the rim with the tip of the extractor. Not sure if this could be a problem or become on over time. So you'll need another barrel, and other mags...and are not sure if it will work...I think it would be better to get a second TS in 9mm :-)

    • @perraultd
      @perraultd Před 7 lety +1

      I've got the 9mm. Hoping to find a complete upper in .40 sometime down the line and fit it to my frame.

    • @Deathking66623
      @Deathking66623 Před 7 lety +1

      Thank you for your reply, this is also what I have heard from other sources :) Another possibility would be to get the complete slide in both calibers - which would be more costly than just the barrel. A second complete TS would not be so good as in Austria we cannot obtain unlimited handguns (normally just 2 and in special cases more), however another slide/barrel would just be an accessory and thus would not count as a seperate handgun.

    None of the videos point out that the magwell needs a lot of help blending to the frame or probably better yet just replaced entirely. You can see a quick glance of the poor fit near the end of this video. I like mine otherwise, but reloading is about the same as reloading any stock CZ75 model with no magwell, I also have 2011's with mag wells that fit the frame and they are night and day faster/easier to reload than my stock TSO.

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety +2

      I agree on the poor fit of the magwell.One can easily get hooked up with a mag when performing a speed reload. A few weeks ago I used a dremmel tool to blend my frame to the magwell. Will show this in one of the following video's. Thanks for commenting. Best Regards.

    What size hands do you have? Is there size difference between basic ts with alum grips vs Orange? Thanks for video :)

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety +1

      Rather large...about 20 cm beginning of palm swell to top of middle finger and about 12 cm wide measured from base of thumb to other side. The grip , with alu grips on the basic TS and the Orange is IDENTICAL. No size difference, your grip on the TSO will be slightly higher due to the improvements made by CZ but no size difference . Best Regards .J

    • @Iiska78
      @Iiska78 Před 7 lety +1

      Damn...Both guns intrest me but I am bit small handed, ts with basic grips is barely too large for me..

    • @perraultd
      @perraultd Před 7 lety +1

      If you can, find one. The dimensions may be identical side to side, but the pebbly texture of the TS adds length front to back vs the TSO checkering. The grip is also cut deeper in the back, and that allows you to get higher as well as closer to the trigger.

    • @BarkingIron
      @BarkingIron Před 7 lety

      I'm located in CO. I don't care if it's the 10 or 20 round mag. I know CO's law states the 20 is illegal. Whichever one you can find I'll accept. My FFL will handle the mag situation prior to me taking possession.

    Nice video! Is the transition from the TS to the TS Orange worth it in the long term?

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety

      Thanks! For me personally, yes... But I can imagine it isn't worth the price difference for some people...I mean, you can buy a the standard TS and upgrade it yourself to be almost the exact same as the Orange version... But you will probably end up paying more than the price of the TS Orange if you want it fully customized,depending on where you are and what the prices are for parts and shipping etc....I am such a fan of this platform that I absolutely wanted 2 :-)

    • @LiorBarOnIPSC
      @LiorBarOnIPSC Před 7 lety

      I'm a lefty so the factory thumbrest isn't much use. I love the sight picture without a slide given by the TS, but it's expensive in basepads for IPSC Standard shooters.

    • @Jeremiahfull
      @Jeremiahfull  Před 7 lety +1

      yep they should have drilled holes on the right side of the frame like Tanfoglio does and offer an optional left hand thumb rest... Alu Basepads are available but indeed they are quite expensive

      Thanks man. I have been leaving the Glocks at home. I will shoot a CZ 75 SP-01 9mm on Sunday at a fun shoot. I took that and the .40 TS for about 20 practice shots at 10 yards, indoor range. Both shot a nice group. TS shot 3 inch group 8 shots. SP01 shot a bit larger. I just put a front Fiber optic 1mm CZ custom shop sight on that TS. I like it a lot. the spot1 9mm is a good go to gun for the fun shoots. I will post video. Take care.

      There are some in the States... I purchased mine last month off the shelf in VA at my LGS for $1800! I saw a couple online after some Google searching also but they were north of $2k!

      CZ-USA told me a month back that if I ordered 1 it would be an August 2017 eta. I think they were just wild guessing though. If you are in senior class you may not want to wait for one :) . Although apparently they are trickling in here and there. Should sell for around 1600 US according to my dealer but gouge prices will rule for a while.

    Very nice gun. CZ makes great guns but for $1800?! Come on LMFAO!!! People always call CZ the hipster guns and in this case they’re right. Hipsters overpay to try and look like they don’t care hahaha!!! Id rather get a Canik TP9SFX Elite and save $1300. The CZ is for people with more dollars than sense.
