A young Pepsi boy turns into a Pepsi man at his Pep-Mitzvah
That was a good one
You guys missed the best one!! Cap'n Crunch's Crunchling Adventure!! You customize and raise a little fuzzball dude into a, grown up, fuzzball, man? But it was awesome! You play mini games grabbing Crunch Berries so your crunching can grow, it was the best game ever!
Pepsiman was the childhood, had so much fun playing it!!
there were three burger king games(Sneak King,Big Bumpin',PocketBike Racer), and six Doritos games(Dash of Destruction,Harms Way,Doritos Crash Course,Doritos Crash Course GO,Doritos Crash Course 2,Doritos VR Battle)
How titans have flipped places. Dominos used to be cardboard, and now pizza hut actually sells you cardboard with a 'cheese' product on it. If I remember right, that Doritos game was actually kinda fun.
Don’t forget McKids for NES. Great game about all the McDonald’s mascots. Also, I loved Yo Noid! Had an awesome sound track. The second and third game, not so great. But the first one is one of my favorite NES games.
Pepsi man was actually not that bad
It wasn't AMAZING, but it wasn't terrible. I've definitely seen worse video game tie ins. (Like Superman 64.)
I also live within driving distance of Pepsi-Co's headquarters. Go figure.
I still have my burned disc along with a few Thrill Kill versions. I mean totally legit copies.
I actually owned the McDonald Land game on the Genesis as a kid. It was honestly really charming! One of my favorites growing up as a kid who LOVED going to McDonald's. The music sounds great, the sprites nice and colorful, gameplay was a fairly easy platformer for young kids. If anyone ever gets the chance, give it a whirl!
Gotta say that Cool-Spot was actually a fairly good game for the time. But... those Burger King for the original XBox? SneaKing? Good times.
Doritos crash course was legit amazing. They also made a racing game that I still love.
I have fond memories playing Doritos crash course with friends, truly an underrated game
Doritos crash course was pretty fun to play with friends, and so was the racing game
Bro, we just need a whole episode of This Is with Tech Guy Kyle that would be hilarious 😭😭😭 and by the way, This Is turning into attack of the show more and more and I’m loving it
But Kyle Needs to get his goods from the vape shop every 10 minutes!
@@jackf3670 he’s gonna have to bring the vape with him lol 😂😂
I’m eagerly waiting for Kinsey to have her own sub-channel someday. She'd do an amazing job.🥺
Whats funny about the noid is that if you go into a dominos, even a modern/up to date one, or look at their windows you'll still find a ghostbusters-esque decal with just the silhouette of the noid.
if you hit the subscribe button now we can start our collection in an attempt to get MORE copies of Sneak King than that guy
Austin would have to do a streamed speedrun of it.
Nah, y'all need to get the other two BK games and add the to this list.
Austin acting like 2019 was a distange age, wtf LOL 5:18
This was so fun! Loved this video! Great job!
The Kool-aid game on Atari that you could only get by collecting kool-aid stamps.
Y'all totally forgot to mention the awesome bonus stage music from Cool Spot. Tommy Tallarico is disappointed.
I can't be the only one that remembers the Capn Crunch game on PC that was about raising a little furry crunch monster by skateboarding and feeding it cereal. It was ridiculous
was legit about to comment this, definitely nostalgic for me growing up
That's the game I had as a kid.
there used to be a Coors Light platformer on mobile, i forget what it was called but it was pretty good. there was also a bush’s baked beans game on mobile too that i remember being good.
Of course, soon as I watch this video, a Pepsi ad showed up! 😂 They must love this episode!
Great show guys entertaining and funny 😂❤👊😁
Finally, a video that I actually enjoy watching!!
hahahahahahahahahahaha LTT store XD that was a good one hahahaha love Linus
great video as always!
dont forget about darkened skye for gamecube, pretty much a skittles ad that they gave to a random lady and she made her dream fantasy game and just made skittles the power ups.
I cannot believe you all missed Darkened Skye! It was by far the best Skittles-based PC game... OF ALL TIME! My wife played it constantly when it first came out.
Burger King Pocketbike Racers or whatever it’s called!! Was on point!!
I remember a long time ago a game called The Mission for PS1 which was a nike ad in itself as well where soccer players like Ronaldinho Gaucho kicked ninjas with soccer balls.
Pretty fun game!!
No Purina dog game? Loved the Frisbee throw challenge.
"1983...most you weren't even alive..." Dude, I graduated HIGH SCHOOL in '83. F**K, but I'm old. 🤣
Sneak king was dope lol didn't get out of the construction area though lol
7:54 Damn Austin you better watch your back.
You can't call Pepsiman a bad game, you're basically insulting all of latin america with that
What?
If you honestly believe that you need to quit life
I agree Pepsi man was my favorite game growing up
@@AnthonyELombardi I'm Latin and can confirm: I don't know how, I don't know why, but I got ahold of this game as a kid and played through it, it was only on my late teens that I found out almost every other ps1 owner did play this game at least once where I live, and it was in my twenties that I found out how big of a cultural phenomenon this was for LatAm, just as big as King of Fighters
2:10 Did Someone call me
I think calling the Noid a pizza demon is actually pretty accurate.
Where's the Capt Crunch game? It was probably my first PC game. You took care of a crunchling(?), Feeding it, cleaning it and skateboarding stuff. Good times
I loved when AVGN reviewed Pepsiman! Was so damn funny. 😂
You forgot the other McDonald's game called Mick and Mack made by Virgin mobile company
Don't forget about the Skittles game, darkened Skye.
I love your videos, but when you showed Pepsi man, I was drinking Coke at the time. I started laughing, and had to pause the video.
I also still play Doritos Crash Course on my Xbox. I also remember playing the Burger King themed games on the Xbox 360. They were okay. Good for the price of them.
I can't believe Austin doesn't know the California Raisins.
I can't remember if I actually owned or just rented it from Blockbuster a lot but I loved Cool Spot as a kid, soda ad or not it was a pretty fun game when I was a kid. Although you left out another advertisement Genesis game, Cheetos had a game as well that I remember playing, it was called Chester Cheetah's Wild Wild Quest or something like that, it was definitely a game that existed lol
If I brought the Noid back, I'd have him destroy pizzas that don't come from Dominos Pizza.
california raisins are a classic. that was nostalgic for me. great memories
There was a Bush's Baked Beans game either for mobile or web based mobile compatible. If I remember it correctly, it was pixel art style and was a side-scrolling infinite runner?
Not so much a game, but Castrol had a tie in for their Castrol Edge oil that was a virtual dipstick whipping app for iOS and I think Android as well. Every time you whip the dipstick, the guy would stay "Now that's thinking with your dipstick Jimmy". Speaking of not quite games but fun apps from companies. There was the virtual Zippo lighter app.
Moving back into games based on ads. There was an Incredible Crash Test Dummies game for multiple 8-bit and 16-bit platforms. Meanwhile elsewhere in the realm of safety ads turned into games. There was a browser based shockwave game based around the ESUVEE safety ads.
Miniclip had a few games based around actual brands. Examples of brands they built games around included BP and Starburst.
Speaking of online browser games. Might as well talk about Candystand by Wrigley and Postopia from Post Cereal.
you could do a lets play channel titled This Is Gaming and it would be so much fun to listen to
Not an ad but there’s also a Muppets themed doom clone where you, as the Swedish Chef, have to kill the evil foods with your electric hand blender
7:40
The root beer Tapper game was featured in the hit Disney animated film 'Wreck It Ralph'! There was a character in the movie named 'Tapper' who was modeled after the original arcade game. As well as the bar scene in the movie being based on the game.
I loved playing Yo! Noid. I never beat it because the mechanics used to irritate the hell out of me, but it wasn’t the worst thing I played on the NES
Doritos Crash Course is heavily underrated. Great for a free fun little title
Yo Noid is dare I say a hidden gem . Love that game .
I once had sneak king and the burger King bumper car game as well
You can include Sneek King, but NOT pocket bike racer from BK?!
Can’t forget about Doritos dash of destruction!
You guys should do an episode with bad flash games like be a douchebag. That game, you had 6 days to turn your guy from a lame dude into a d-bag by upgrading your truck to a lowrider, taking steroids to get pumped up with your wife-beater shirt, and picking up chick's at the nightclub. Total play on "Jersey Shore". Love the content... and Kyle sounded kinda sick... so he sounded like Matt... lol.
5:52 I don't think Austin realises how sus he was being when he said that... 😂😂😂
Pepsi MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN
Pepsi Man was secretly ad? Mindblowing!!! BTW- my first game ever was Colgate :D
WHAT you didn't know about the The California Raisins?!?!? MATT EDUCATE HIM!!!!!!!!
I had the California Raisins decals on my Radio Controlled car I built lol, I thought it was only me that remembered these 😁
Grew up in the 80s. I still have a California Raisins vinyl record.
Anyone else find it ironic that Austin completely hates on Pepsi but loves Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell all of which are owned by Pepsi?
Austin has the poorest taste in soda if he says Pepsi is inferior to Coke.
Wish my favorite type of game of this type was here. The "Purina Incredible Dog Challenge" in 2000 on PC. XD I still remember taking over the chore of feeding the dog to pull the cd of the game out of the bag. I loved trying to perfect the game before I knew what speedrunning was.
The Yo Noid scandal was from my local Dominos. I still order pizza from there. I even worked there at one point and had no idea.
Doritos Crash Course was unironically my favorite game out of this list, i spent so many hours running the courses
THE NOID IS BACK BOIS
There was a California Raisins dos game as well.
there was more than one of those xbox360 Burger King games. I used to have one that was a mini bike racing game where you played the king on a mini motorcycle.
Why wasn't Hotel 626 part of the list. That Doritos marketing stunt was awesome
You forgot Coke Music. It was a web browser game similar to Habbo Hotel. Coke music was the high light of my Jr high days. I would get so much Coca-Cola just to get the codes under the caps to get in game currency to buy furniture. Lol
What was the website from the late 90s/early 00s which had flash games which were all candy themed? I want to say it was something generation.
Candystand. I spent so many hours on there as a kid. Nabisco also had a similar site that was pretty fun.
7:55 who wrote that caption? Lmao
You missed the chupa chumps game, it was fun! Or my favourite Global Gladiators, which was a McDonald’s (and maybe super soaker collab? Don’t remember). Was very well made.
I don’t think Chupa Chups are a thing here in America. I remember in Spain people thought it was crazy that I didn’t know what Chupa Chups were. (I do now, but I never had one while in Spain. I don’t really care for hard candy 😅)
I lived through the release of all these games and I love “The King,” from Burger King. At least from 81 on.
I REMEMBER THOSE BURGER KING GAMES! I was working for Burger King at the time (my first job at 16 years old) and I had all of them, I loved them, if I wasn't playing halo or gears of war I could be found playing Need for Speed Most Wanted *OR* I'd be playing *SNEAK KING* unironically 😤
Absolute classic 😊
I had the Root Beer version of Tapper on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
Ronald wore a scarf during the holiday season. Watch old McDonald's holiday commercials...
Pepsi Man looks like a horrible rip off of Silver Surfer 🤣
I have to agree with Austin. Why would anyone want to drink Pepsi when the nectar of the gods is available. A nice cold Coca-Cola. Gods them selves on mount Olympus drinks Coca-Cola. The peasants upon earth drink Pepsi.😊
Bk also had two other games a mini bike game and another one available at the same time as sneak king. You didn't mention the pizza hut Playstation underground disk either which while not a game a huge part of ad gaming if I ever seen it
Brutal Chex 🤟🏻
What happened to the Captain Crunch game on the pc
Cool spot was great game honestly. And how was Chester Cheetah:wild wild quest not mentioned
I had the 7 up game. You guys should do old video games based on TV shows. I had a rockos modern life game
Fun fact: In Japan KFC is Huge. So huge they actually eat it for Christmas Dinner. They preorder Christmas meals in the millions. True.
In Europe, the Cool Spot character was never the 7-up mascot, it was Fido Dido, the Spanish Comic character. Didn't stop the Cool Spot game being released in Europe though, just without any 7-up branding.
The dominos in Evansville Indiana still has avoid the noid on the sign
Sneak King had a really interesting, unique ability...
You see, in order to play Xbox games on Xbox 360, you had to install emulation software from MS, this was done through update downloads that you actually downloaded onto a pc, burned to a cd, and then installed from the cd to your system.
So... what was special about Sneak King... on 1 disc it actually had the full game for BOTH Xbox and Xbox 360, two complete different versions of the game, that worked, no emulation required.
As far as I know this was the only game release for ANY system that has this unique ability.
And yes, the 360 version had achievements.
Fun fact. You know the guy in cutscenes of Pepsiman was also in some of the saw movies years later
good to see crypto luigi in the beginning.
income is about to go N U T S
Root beer tappers is in Wreck It Ralph. Didn’t realize it was a real game until I watched this video.
CHEX QUEST WAS SO AMAZING
I spent way too much of my time playing Clumsy Colin Action Biker for the C64 as a kid. Not sure this one translates to the US as it was for a brand KP Crisps called Skips, where Clumsy Colin was their mascot of the time. Music by one of the C64 SID gurus Rob Hubbard.
Pepsi man is peak gaming
I have all 3 BK games. I loved them as a kid. Played the bumper car and pocket bike ones when my cousins came over.
Chex cereal main video game character remind me of Buzz Lightyear
The noid isn’t actually gone. Plenty of their boxes still have it here in the northeast US. I didn’t even know what it was until about a year ago when I first saw it on a dominos box.
Ronald would wear a scarf during the winter months
California Raisons was the shit in my day.
