WOW, that's one of the best I've seen as the video is both front and back, plus we can see the shifts and what gear it's in where. Almost as though we are in the car with you. Well Done. Thanks for posting.
Thank you Clinton. Your skill leaves me for dead, and the HO left my old 250 XY Fairmont wagon even further behind. It handled like an aircraft carrier and needed leg muscles like bulldozers to stop the old girl when she was running fast (comparatively). Oh, the memories.
The Pacer would only have a 3 speed gear box in it if in stock trim but what a gutsy car. The gear box was always Chrysler's biggest down fall even in the Chargers, that 4th gear would have made all the difference back in the day. Nice XY, what can you say, it's a racing icon!
Beautiful noise. Reminds of me belting around the moors in my Fiat 132 Supermiriafiori Sport and 2.3L Ford Cortina. Had a 14mile course. Not your bog standard, motors, tuned up.
What the f**k was in that Pacer? I thought they only came out with a 245 Hemi . Thats got to be at least a 265 Hemi with RT Charger cam and weber's. But would that be allowed as it is non authentic?
Definitely not getting the best out of the machine. Terrible tow heal rev matching on down shift costing at least a second to 2 seconds a lap, that will destroy the clutch and when under pressure will cause compression lock up. Off the button way to early and but the car and the sound and the veiw is awesome thank you
@@Dave-id6sj they’re downshifting too early over reving the engine, furthermore not rev matching on the down shifts. Just smashing it into gear like that he’ll be lucky to finish the race with the clutch and box in one piece.
Wow, that 351 Cleveland sounds absolutely awesome. I remember watching these cars racing at Bathurst in the 70S, what music these engines play.👍

Glad to see you not wanting to ding your car. I wouldn't have messed twice with that pacer on that corner either.

how does a 70's valiant pacer hold off phase 3 gtho???
Poor old HQ broke something important. You can see the falcon slip on the entrails coming out of the cutting on the next lap.
That is FATT, beautiful noise.
Contact at turn 2?
As impressive and desirable as that XY is, grandmas old 6 cylinder valiant was absolutely relentless! Sitting back there like a friggin shark!.
that was fun...did any ford win that actual race
There is always one. HO HO HO three in a row or did you forget
get your hemi engines, today

THAT PACER IMPRESSED ME
@@Gunshy55 I was thinking it might have had either a 318 (or maybe even a 273) - as yeah it was quick, seemed a little too grunty for the 245

Amazing but these drivers need lesson on shifting up and down 🤦♂️
How so?
