    I've always just used lukewarm water on the windows and seals. Never had any issues and no risk of scraping damage or seal "corrosion" from the deicer. Also defrosts the wipers nicely.
    Mind you, the lukewarm water option is only good if you're about to start the car up straight away and letting things heat up, otherwise you'll come back to a frozen door seal and wipers. 😅
    *Edit* Appreciate the videos. Good resource for the A110.

      Lukewarm water is always a good option just need a way to get it out to the car lacking an outdoor tap. Need to be fast too as it does tend to get particularly cold in the winter.
      Thanks much appreciated. Been running one for just over a year so will keep putting up videos.

      Totally agree, warm water is the best option, being a postman for many years you soon learn what works best

    I daily My A110 but in winter I use a car cover . Just remove the cover and all Your problems dissappear. 😊😊

      A good option too. Lacking a garage and living at the top of a hill my worry has always been the wind blowing the cover and damaging the paintwork. Something to consider though. Thanks for watching the video 😁

      @@Goingplaces110 They are available for an Alpine at the dealers, they fit like a glove, going nowhere in the wind and people won't steal them because they're too small for any other car! 😂😂

    A hairdryer up close also works well to loosen the boot, mirrors, doors etc

      That's a good idea too. Got an outside socket. Didn't occur because I have no hair 🤣🤣

    A quick video on a few things to look out for if you are using an Alpine A110 as a daily driver. I use my A110 GT daily and wanted to show a couple of slight issues. Not an issue with a garage. Are you an A110 owner or interested in dailying one ? please leave a comment below. More Alpine videos to come.

    A windscreen protector (inc side windows and mirrors) is a cheap solution so long as you have somewhere to fold it up when not in use. Meanwhile my 110 is tucked up under cover in its heated garage till spring...

    • @Goingplaces110
      @Goingplaces110  Před 8 měsíci

      If I owned a garage I'd have bleu parked up and hibernating but outdoors and my daily the windscreen protector certainly comes in handy in the midst of a Scottish winter.

    Very embarrassing for any English speaker having to subtitle the video just to please the yanks

    • @Goingplaces110
      @Goingplaces110  Před 5 měsíci

      Future videos are not subtitled. It was a fairly new app to me so having a play about with the features. Add to that I'm obviously not too sure how strong the accent comes across to anyone outside Scotland. Embarrassing is a bit of an over reaction I reckon but each to their own lol
