I learned about Tracy from your last video on this topic. I’m in my 40’s now and what I’ve done for the last 10 years is no longer working. I’ve also gained 10 pounds during quarantine. I tried the TA two week free trial and I can totally see how this works. I’m working muscles I never knew I had! I signed up for the subscription yesterday and I’m cleaning up my diet. Im 45 yrs old and I've gained 15 lbs during quarantine since mid March because I have been working from home. Very sedentary job... I'm in my third week of the Tracy Anderson method (thanks to you) and I am seeing results! I am stronger, looking leaner and I also have to say that it has been emotionally helpful to me as well. There is something about carving out the time every day to do something just for me and I really like how she emphasizes "getting into your self" while doing this workout every day. The lack of talking to you helps with that. I love how relatable she is and I really enjoy the after workout talk that she has each week. I have advanced from the beginner to intermediate. Thanks for the advice, it is the first thing that seems to be working for me.

Erin, thank you for this encouraging update on your Tracy Anderson exercise. You look great and are an inspiration to many! I started using her method after I saw your last video and it is challenging, but you gave some really good tips this time to make it tolerable. I am 70 years old and was reassured by what you said about modifying her moves. Yes, her program is challenging, but it has to be to make progress. We don't have to feel like we lose something by respecting and working around our old injuries. In fact, we preserver with what we can do and are better off for it. I learned on my own to turn her music off and use my own music preference because it makes a rather difficult workout much more enjoyable - almost cool. I skip her cardio and walk and bike most days of the week and that makes it more interesting for me. I, like a lot of folks, don't really like to do programmed exercises, but if it can be tailored to my own likes and modifications it is easier to make it a real lifestyle. I've got a ways to go before I am toned, but at least I have no more arthritic pain and feel younger with more energy.

Because of your last video about TA I checked it out, did the 2 free weeks, and subscribed. THANK YOU. 💛 My body loves it. Yes, reminiscent of Barre/pilates, but more pointed in it's purpose. I'm 51. I feel myself actually wanting to do it, and I feel since COVID hit, I want to be independent in my workouts (anytime/anywhere). Love the weekly change. So it's worth the cost for me.
I'm surprised you didn't mention HER LECTURE AT THE END each week! I get a deeper understanding of what she is doing with us/our bodies, our long-term health. Each new week I watch: 1. The brief overview of the mat moves, 2. The trainer breakdown (which EVERYONE new-ish should watch due to fine nuances that really get into targeted muscles) 3. The talks at the end of all 3 levels, as they can be accessed stand-alone as "End of Class Lectures." If you have an affiliate opportunity, I am sorry I didn't know about it, as I'm already all-in!

After your last video, I started using TA youtube videos just for my arms, and I couldn't believe how fast I saw a difference and I have tried everything, and nothing else has worked! I am 56 years old and very active but menopause also has kicked my butt! Thank you for your inspiration and thank you also to Tracy Anderson!

Do you feel like Tracy's workouts give enough guidance to prevent injury? I'm really tempted to try them because I want/NEED results, but I don't have the greatest joints. Some of those moves look like I'd throw my back out! I'm 50 and have worked with an online trainer before who specializes in fitness for people in their "second half." Perhaps, like Erin said, I could just make adjustments based on what I've learned from my previous trainer..?
@@livingthemidlife715 I have arthritis, and a fragile back. I know my body what I can and can't do, so I just adjust it for myself. I try really hard to do as close as possible to what she is doing.

once you are 10 years in, the stomach starts to get huge, the waiste gets wider and non existent, hair thins, lips thin, skin looses elasticity all over the place not just on the face ...it is a nightmare. Advice: take vitamins, stay on the slim side by dieting, moisturize all over, avoid stress like it is the plague, sleep sleep sleep, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Stay active, sitting is poison. Good luck cuz this really sucks.

She says that replacement of nutrients and estrogen is what changed it for her. I'm choosing NOT to hormone replace.
@@mollieanne i hear that. I started at 48 and now I am 58 and this year is the year all the negative things started happening to my body. It is easy to do things to improve when you have all your hormones working on your side or still in existence, but when they are gone...it aint good :( Sucks that we have to tolerate all of the things we do, period, female issues, breast issues, menopause...we really get our butts kicked at every turn but I think this is why we are all so very strong and resilient. I still keep up with my skin, teeth and hair. I try to stay current with the fashions and all of the other things above but I think the most important thing is to like who you are no matter what you look like. To have a sense of humor also helps a lot. I see young beautiful people and I think ...wow I used to have that tiny butt or those skinny thighs and then I think...aging happens to all of us. No one can escape it. Embrace the changes and enjoy your life despite the obstacles. Peace out sisters

I agree with Toni 100%! My 73 rd birthday is next month and it’s getting harder and harder to stay in shape and address all the other issues that the years bring! My stomach is my main problem area and nothing seems to help. I hate that my waist is 2-3” wider than even 10 years ago in spite of years of Pilates and cardio and weights. But, I’m not giving up! Doing something is better than doing nothing. So happy it’s worked for Erin...😊

Erin, Thank you for always being so open. I've always been super active and fit - then all of a sudden I woke up with extra pounds. Tracy Anderson was the only thing that took it off. I am in total agreement - TA leans out the legs!! and whole body.

LOVE Tracy Anderson!!! Ibrecommend starting with her first post pregnancy method video. It starts out slowly, and she explains what you are doing. I also love her mat method workout. Again, lots of explanation. I don't jump around with her however. I walk 3 to 5 miles a day for my cardio. My body cannot take the jumping around anymore (almost 50 years old). If you stay consistent, you will have the body of your dreams.

@Jesusjunkie402 Yes. I live in the South, so our weather is not that cold. I also teach, so I am home in the afternoons to walk. I do my mat workouts in the morning before work and walk when I am home in the afternoons. It is a wonderful way to de-stress, and my dogs loves it too.

Don't expect motivation. Motivation comes and goes. Start slower and at a level you can sustain and make it a habit. I hope you can catch up on sleep. Toss the hubs some chores!

i'm tearing up with you Erin! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video! I decided to try TA after watching your original weight loss video and boy was I confused! I ended up letting the 2 week trail go by without really getting a feel for it because I gotta say that its not easy to start with and understand the program. After i was charged for my first month and still frustrated, I emailed the team for clarification but it took 2 days to get a reply. This is soooo helpful and informative! Can't thank you enough. The moves are very different and it does take some practice to get it down, even the beginner mat.

How is the metamorphosis and continuity compared to her online classes. Is harder or similar?
Online is more complex and I would recommend doing the mat dvd or a few weeks of the older videos. Metamorphosis not necessary but you want to build up some familiarity and ability to “predict” certain ... transitions. And don’t jump ahead to the advanced - I STILL do beginner sometimes and feel just as awesome afterward. And I have no weight to lose. This is simply as important as brushing my teeth daily. Without it I get a little unpleasant! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this video! I am currently working out with her videos I've found on youtube to see how I like them. And yes, I am two months in with only 4 days a week and I see big changes. Thanks for sharing, Erin. I wanted to also mention The Class by Taryn Toomey. It is amazing! There is a 2 week free trial and it’s only $40 a month. I know lot of us are on a budget and things are extra tight with COVID. $40 a month might be a little more reasonable than $90. The Class is a HIIT workout that incorporates mat work (similar to Tracy Anderson method)-nothing is required besides a mat. It is really SO good-for mind, body, soul.

Yikes, $90 is super expensive. I dont think I could stick with something that had the same workout for a week straight, I would get bored, i prefer something different everyday. Congrats to you though, you look great and I'm glad it's worked for you.
I found a GREAT workout on the Kira Stokes Fit website and it is only $14.99 per month. I am 50 and have toned and lost weight doing this. I have a bad back and Kira is always reminding on posture to protect your back.
It is expensive, Julianne. After trying a bunch of different workouts, I always seem to come back to Tracy. If you are interested in trying it, search out her free youtube videos to get an idea what her workouts look like. xo
@Julianne Rogers, try Fitness Blender. Kelli and Daniel are wonderful and feel strongly that fitness should be affordable for everyone. You can sign up on their site (free) and ALL of their videos are free. Now, if you are lazy like me and don't want to put together your own schedule, you can purchase exercise plans they put together but the price is not expensive. A plan costs between $10-$20 and you can do the plan as many times as you want. Yes, each day is a different video. They are truly fantastic and hands down best online trainers I have found. They do it all: yoga, pilates, weight training, HIIT, low impact, cardio, stretching, and recovery. I think they also have meal plans for if you want to maintain, lose, or gain weight. I actually purchased the plan for gaining weight back when I was underweight. The meal plans are put together by a dietician not them. You can't go wrong with Fitness Blender. They are super popular for a reason.

I was just saying above that you can also try Anna Kaiser, who used to help create content for Tracy (in the beginning), AKT in motion is cheaper and more varied. I'm not sure you get the SAME results, but she's good. Oh I meant to shout out that first Jane Fonda exercise DVD. Hi Erin, I wanted to thank you for recommending the TA method online studio. I just completed my 14 day free trial today and I’m thinking of signing up since aside from finding it challenging, I have fun doing the workouts 🤗 I usually run and do yoga, but I really miss the barre, pilates and other classes that I was used to attending at a studio prior to COVID. Tracy’s online studio makes me feel as if Im attending a class and I love that she changes them every week😊 so it is never boring. I started with her intermediate workouts and decided to try the advanced version the second week, not because the workouts were easy, but I just wanted to see how more challenging they would get if I decided to continue as I hope to continue to get stronger and more fit. These workouts make me sweat, and I wake up sore the next day, but I loved seeing how even from one week to the next I felt stronger and my husband pointed out how he could already notice more definition on my stubborn abs where I have loose skin due to my previous pregnancies. I will also share that I’m thin & petite. I just turn 50 and Im going through peri-menopause, however, I have fortunately been able to maintain my ideal weight for the most part, but I also try to maintain a clean and healthy diet, especially because I’m genetically predisposed to diabetes and heart problems. Although, I did get scared because I had recently put on 5 lbs, but luckily, I was able to take them off within a month by increasing the miles I was running and trying intermittent fasting, which I’m still doing. Since I started Tracy’s method, my weight has stayed the same, but I am hoping to gain the definition and strength that Ive always wanted. Although, I’m thin, Im not very muscular. Ive tried weight training, but lifting heavy weights is not my thing, plus just like you, I am not interested in bulking up. Before I do sign up though, I was wondering if you knew wether we would be able to cancel the membership at any time if we chose to do so. I read the terms and it doesn’t say wether they have a cancellation fee or not. It doesn’t seem like we are signing any contract so I’m assuming it can be cancelled at any time? I would really appreciate that information if you know it so that it can help me make a decision. I love and appreciate all the info you share on your videos, but this is the best video from you yet! I loved it! I sweated, struggled and watched my diet and lost 20 lbs. last year - and now it's alllll back. I'm back to struggling with the clothes in my closet and going back to loose, shapeless tops to hide in. I so appreciate having a game plan and feeling like I can take back that control with a workout that absolutely works. I always felt like I was doing same old, same old and it'd take so long to see any results. Very informational, very inspirational and very motivational. Well done, and thank you!

I’m back on track since you’re last video on Tracey. I’m mid 60’s so I do what I can but years ago, when you first mentioned her, I bought the Mat Workout dvd. I think it’s a great intro to Tracey. It’s doable and I definitely see results by doing what I can , then adding more videos and maybe working up to her subscription services. Thanks, Erin. I’m feeling much better and stronger now! When I watched your previous video on losing 15 lbs and you talked about Tracy Anderson, I started doing it and joined for the trial and decided to keep it. She is amazing (and so are YOU!). You are adorable and sweet and your arms are fine. Wait till you get to be 61 like me, the arms really go - but, I'm hoping if I continue with Tracy Anderson, I will keep myself fit. You are right, you do feel stronger and you DO see results. It's so important to keep yourself fit and healthy especially as you age - and especially in a pandemic!

Erin, this is pretty much my story! I am 49, and have been pretty active my whole life. I was in the Army, I love to run and ski. But the things I always did to shed a few pounds weren't working anymore! I am not making excuses, but running in CO in the winter gets challenging (I know people faithfully do it, but I am intermittent!) , and I absolutely hate treadmill running. Then, I tore my MCL in January and everything pretty much stopped. Ugh. I have been watching your progress have been so happy for you! I thought, maybe this will also work for me? I have tried a few CZcams Tracy videos. You are right - the movements are different and challenging, but I'm really liking it. Tracy's workout is the strength portion I'm missing as a cardio lover. Thank you for sharing! I think I'll try the 2-week trial and we'll see. Congrats on your rocking bod and more than that, your joy and enthusiasm in finding what works for you, and getting back to your happy place. Keep on!

Love how authentic you are!!! I just subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago but have watched every one since! I have tried TA in the past (got a whole series of blue Rays but just let it peter out) but found her moves to be awkward and hard to get into. However, I think from the extensive research I've done on her method it really for whatever reason addresses the loose skin thing which is so key. My body never muscles out, ever, and I've done very heavy lifting in the past. But if I could get lean arms and leave the pancake butt behind I'd be thrilled. By the way your arms are a dream. Anyway, you've encouraged me to think about committing to this at the end of Sept when gardening and pool season are over. Thank you !!!!
