      Yea I was looking at some powerslide zoom pro skates for around £179 & Frx skates for £164 & my mate was saying that's a lot (& yea it is) & saying I wouldn't spend more than £80 & showing me skates that didn't quite me the oh yeah feeling like the others & saying this is an impulse thing even though I've been binge watching skate videos from wizard, urban to aggressive & I was thinking I wish I didn't say anything to him. I was keeping it quiet for this reason 🙄 I'm gonna keep searching until I am payed & go with my gut instead of listening to others. I think this would be fun & good for me as I want to do more free flow activities for my mind more than anything & I think rollerblades will provide that free flow.

And we don't have skate parks around here either. I don't want to do tricks but I eventually want to go fast. Would you recommend a triwheel 110mm skate for a beginner? It's better to start 4x80, or if your feet are bigger consider 4x90. Four wheels are easier to learn speed control, stopping without a brake, and stair rides. If you like skating and want to invest, there are very nice aftermarket frame brands like Endless, NN, Powerslide, Roka.

    I too started when I was 7 but its been many yrs so I picked up FR1's but they didn't fit :( I had to return them because size 13 was the biggest they made. Ended up finding a killer deal on Rollerblade Edge skates and bought some sick 295mm 4x90 / 3x110 frames all for less than the FR1's. Just ordered some Powerslide Next 90's but If I progress in my skills before winter I might look for some aggressive skates because of you!

    I would recommend beginners to buy used skates from established brands in good condition too. In germany, you will always find fitness skates in perfect condition for below 50€, with some luck for 20€. I think it is better to try out 2-3 used pairs of skates to get a feeling for the differences and preferences and invest later for a new pair when you are sure about your needs.
    I wasn't skating aggressive for 24 years and now i am about to buy some skates, but the market has completely changed. The UF-system was in the development, USD was Upside Down and more like an underdog, the majority where skating with either, K2 Fatty, Roces Majestic 12 or Oxygen Argon only the Majestic survived and is still available. Before i decide to spend the full price i try out some used below 100€ aggressive skates and sell the skates i can't skate.

    Great video! I have been recreational inline skating almost every day at a linear trail here in Florida for 10+ years. I agree you need to invest in a decent pair of skates. I still have my original pair of K2 brand boots and have replaced the 90mm wheels a couple of times. I'm turning 68 years old this year and never felt better cruising down the trails (of course I have all the recommended safety gear you have recommended including Killer knee pads and wrist guards and a Triple 8 helmet). Keep on rolling!

    My first pair of skates were a pair of Roces 5th Elements (this must have been in the early 2000s) These expensive aggressive skates were completely wasted on me. We had NO skate parks in my town. The roads were terrible in terms of pebble size. Although I spent many hours skating around and trying to do some drops at a school I would not buy them again today for the following reasons: 1. Aggressive Inline skates tend to be incredibly heavy due to all the extra parts and reinforcements. 2. The wheels were ridiculously small which made skating on rough tar terrible (my feet would go numb). 3. Due to the stiff shells they were not very comfortable. All in all you should definitely consider what you want to do with the skates and where you will be skating before buying a pair. I've currently got my eye on the K2 Uptown which is more what I'm interested in. I've since moved to Germany and in my city there are miles and miles of bike paths. By the way I will steal your beautiful cat 😍

    • @silbury2325

      Uptowns are very light and stiff (responsive) and make great power skates. I really enjoy mine as I main UFRs (formerly known as SX/CJ) which are significantly heavier than average. I specifically chased down a 2015 pair a few years ago to cannibalize the uncoated frames for that clean silver look. The rockerable frames are a slalomer's dream.

      @uu3903 Před rokem

      @@coldpuck Soft boots offer less support, responsiveness, and control. Even though they're sometimes marketed towards beginners, they're not easy to skate unless you already know how to skate and have developed muscles and technique.
      Make sure you measure your feet in metric and use the manufacturer's sizing guide. New skates should feel very snug but not painful when you first put them on. The liners will eventually break in and form to your feet after a few sessions. Some better skates even have heat moldable liners.

    Don't mean to be rude or harsh, and I get you're showing your personality great love it. But there was no reason why this video had to last 18 mins. A lot of the time I was thinking pleeease spit it out. I had to skip loads to try get to the point which means I probably missed some crucial information. Just some polite advice.... Maybe just try speed up your talking and get to the point quicker. Sorry that's me trying to be constructive and not mean at all. I appreciated you doing this video 100%, just wish it was a lot shorter.

      I have now just read a comment below who was saying the same thing and seen your reply. Good for you for putting yourself out there when you have your own personal insecurities and struggles. I'm not trying to knock you at all, just keep it up and you will get better at it 👍🏽

    Sorry. I couldn't get past the 1st minute. I came here for useful info, not for some theatrics.
