- Friday Night Ride baby!!! It had been awhile since Ive been to a Portland FNR and thought let's change it up this time!! Lets get back into doing some PEV music videos!!! Always a blast to get out with the group and as it warms up the turnouts start to get real!!! Always great to see everyone and nicer weather just brings the good vibes. Riders on this night include Onewheel, EUC, ESK8, ebike, and electric scooters. As the weather gets even better, its going to be a rad summer for sure!!
As I get back into these types of shoots I'm going thru old equipment to see what I can use and what is outdated. The camera used here needs a lot of light hence the serious darkness. Not ideal but gives it some vibes and will be a good marker for me for when I started this creative process again. Recorded on the Portland Eriders group ride of 3-15-24.

I hear that!! Almost got me out again tonight and it actually cleared up and was probably awesome, but its still a bit too cold and rainy for me....T-shirts & warmth just around the corner would be nice haha! Hopefully see you out there on a FNR soon!!

Definitely a different approach to your cool ride videos, I will say I enjoy your other style videos also and my favorite night time ride so far would have to be the one in Vegas where you were following all the other riders in a pitch black night sea of darkness with the city off in the background. Love the videos man, was the music your own mix or a friends?
Love the kudos JDS and thanks for tuning in!! So the music is licensed by a company called Epidemic Sound that I pay for. Im actually a musician that when I first started this 5 years ago I would do that, write and record my own soundtracks. But for myself after getting busy actually recording and editing vids I had no time to make the music as well. $12 bucks a month and they have a great lineup. Literally thousands of songs so you can find a perfect vibe, and fresh stuff always coming in. I definitely spent some time finding those songs as finding the whole vibe and the sound heartbeat has to be there for it to be a great video for me. And you get to hear some cool new music so its a total win win!! I'll try to share the good stuff as much as possible!
Vegas ESK8con 2024 coming up!! Actually not sure if Im going 100 percent yet this year, but yes that video was rad and is on the Las Vegas Wetlands Trail...Super cool place to ride!! 2nd to Red Rocks Canyon I'd say, although want to ride Hoover Dam for the 1st time next and see what its all about.
I actually used to make a variety of these vids years ago and will be getting back to that as I have some really cool new projects coming. The RAW POV solo/group rides will still be pumped out, just adding a few more layers that will be steady soon. Again appreciate the positivity and support & stay good out there~
