Someone pointed in the comments of a matrix vid I was on that as the story progress smith emotionally becomes more like a human , yet neo becomes more emotionless like a machine. XD
He is becoming more emotionally driven like a human . however neo a human is becoming more machine like as he moves through his journey in the story/movies. Smith also probably cant help it since he feels he is so close to his goal lol
Some characters and people cherish each moment in a fight or a competition so they often talk or make things more dramatic in small breathing breaks. It's either matter of emotional pleasure and fulfillment, breaking someone's spirit by stating you have the upper hand or it's something to fuel ones ego
Smith had a point here. He wants all life - human and machine - to end. Why? Because the divide between humans and machines will never resolve. It is destined to self destruct and end one day. Why play the game if you know how its going to end anyway? Neo is the opposite - he chooses life, not because he believes the outcome will be any different from what Smith envisioned, but on the unfounded hope, that one day, maybe things will be different. Maybe there will be an everlasting peace between human and machine - individual vs collective - left vs right. Similarly in our partisan world, the left and right has existed since humans created societies. Collectivism and individualism are not new ideas. They are as old as human history. Maybe the society we live in today is the 6th version of the matrix. Maybe there's been an n number of times in society where the left and right fought for control of society.
The names change but the essence of things remain the same, however, comparing fundamentally different species to things like political left and right is foolish.
@@aldiascholarofthefirstsin1051 it's all mythos and symbolism in the end anyway. My interpretation makes sense to me based on what I have observed in my life. So as far as I'm concerned this mythos is real to me.
@@aldiascholarofthefirstsin1051 of course, but it's hard not to see parallels. After all, what is the story of the Odyssey or Iliad but symbolized lessons about self control, defeat, and overcoming obstacles? That was the Greek mythos encapsulated.
