It bothers me that the girl said her head was throbbing but it's worth it. Too many people have this beauty is pain attitude about braids/cornrows. I want more stylists to realize that the way to get a secure braid is not by pulling the hair as tight as possible. You do it by picking up very small sections of hair. Braids should never be painful. That pain is a signal that it's too damn tight but all too often clients and stylists ignore this and then wonder why people's hair is thinning over time or they have traction alopecia. But the practice of braiding tight is widely regarded as the only way to do braids in the black community. Even tho people don't have edges or their hair used to be hella thick and now it's finer than a baby's. I'm just like ugh! Wake up!! I literally know someone this happened to. I explained to her that her braids were always too tight and she kept insisting she thought it was because she switched hair products. No Boo, all that tension on your poor little hair follicles is starting to take its toll. 😑
But don't mind me lol I'm just ranting.
Hope Wiley ik
Hope Wiley
I had an adopted auntie (who was born in Jamaica) who would braid my poor little hair so tight all the time. Im white with thick ringlety hair and woooo did it hurt sometimes. Im also extremely tender-headed though.
Lynne Bass ouch :/
Hope Wiley
IKR
I only wear my natural curly hair now haha, having it experimented on so much taught me to appreciate it.
I used to wear nothing but cornrows and I promise my Auntie would braid my sclap up in there with the hair lol. My poor edges. Smh.
the hairdresser is so beautiful
Sara Kayali facts
Sara Kayali i was literally scrolling down just to see this comment
Customer: "Is it going to hurt...?"
Me: "Do you want to have a beautiful weave?"
Customer: "Yeah... But is it goi--"
Me: "Well, then. Beauty is Pain."
thank god you aren't my stylist. Jesus
You sound like my mother when she would perm my sisters hair...
You should've sang *Beauty Hurts. Beauty Hurts*
my grandma would say this
@@sashmikag.7111 It pretty hurtssss 🎵🎵🎵
No matter what the race or ethnicity, that weave changes a females whole attitude honey!
Tziporah Yisra'El yes!
It would make me annoyed/mad
Thank you!!!
Every girl loves to do a good hair flip 😂 ♡
Tziporah Yisra'El
It really doesn’t (for everyone)💀
"You have to learn to love what you have first before you start adding" I really like that quote the stylist said. Positive message to everyone 😊
Christina G then what's the point of adding if u alrdy love what u got!
Anna S that is the best comment
Anna S maybe if you get bored and want to switch up your hair style
xoxoJadaahxoxo haha i know i do it all the time!😂
Christina G that doesn't make any sense because if you love what you have you wouldn't need to hide it
can we just give a shout out to the gorgeous girl actually doing the weaves
AgletDC that’s rude
V Nime ikr
Random Lonely person I am not black or white.
If I would date a black girl , it would be safe and nice , If I would date a white girl , I would get in many troubles ....
I think black people are least racist people , I like them.
AgletDC least racist? Lmao i see More racist blacks than whites.
I was thinking the same. She is so stunning.💖💖
“Learn to love what you already have first.” YES QUEEN PREACH
I can’t stand long hair, and my hair is already thick. I thought to myself, “I’d get the opposite of a weave, what would the opposite of a weave be?” And then I realized, “a haircut.”
Its braid it thins your hair
In all seriousness you can ask them to "thin it out" with thinning shears. In high school a friend was self concious because she thought her hair was too thick and when braiding it at night (because she kept it pretty long) she told us she felt she had 2 bricks on the sides of her head. My mom used thinning shears on her a week later and she loved it because she always wanted "daintier" ponytails/braids, etc.
Idk what a reverse weave would be but that 4 sum reason it reminds me of:
Da fuk, reverse da fuk
You actually can get a weave shorter than your real hair . Black girls do it all the time to get shorter styles without cutting their hair.
@@genlabonte1478 why anyone would want thinner hair is beyond me
"like my head is trhrobbing, but it's worth it."
lmao 😅 pain is beauty indeed
mayra_meow it's "beauty is pain"
same thing 😂
Sew-in is a natural face lift lol
lol
mayra_meow natural hair horror stories.. look em up
They should've put before and after pictures side by side at the end.
in*
I agree !
yes
yes yes yes
Yeah they should have, I had to go backs the beginning to see the difference.
“teenagers shouldn’t get them”
me, teenager: *pats weave*
LMAO!!!!
its almost like shes saying nobody under a certain age can know how to love their natural hair?🤭
🤣
Tbh I don’t see why people make a big deal abt weave it’s black ppl culture and it’s just a hairstyle
@@naryxo_ how is it cultural ...
It's like saying getting butt shots is cultural is something fake ..meaning black people are the most insecure therefore they buy the most weaves
Did she just say “if my ass could get fatter with the weave then that would be great.” Or am I hearing things?
If you were hearing things than so am I
Right I’m like tf...
I’m surprised this isn’t the top comment.
theblahblahsheepie *THEY WANNA BE BLACK & WON'T ADMIT IT*
Same girl who was saying she will go around getting in fights to test them out 😒
"If my ass could get fatter because of the weave, that'll be great" the words that I think every time I get one installed 😂
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
+Deena Brown yeah that comment almost made me thumbs down
i just love how she put "installed"
worth it without the weave and the fat ass. you don't need either one
+auwaga agawua to each it's own ☺️
The woman doing the hair is so beautiful. Like wow!
definitely she reminds me of a young Iman
do "black girls get weave for the first time"
JALO that’s a walk in the park.

I hate weave
+Jarone Vance good for you
Y’all did that red hair girl wrong..y’all know damn well them extensions did not match her hair color😂😂💀
Its incredibly hard (probably impossible?) to match shades with a redhead and any kind of extension or dye. I'm sure they did the best they could.
Rebecca Dunn they can do it with tape ins and clips. She should’ve coloured the hair custom
jakub b
sometimes ppl don’t wanna kill their hair lmao
@@playaab4826 Colour the weave hair, not the head hair.
I’m blind then
I love how the comments section is so triggered. Half is outraged over the title having 'White' in it, the other half are proclaiming 'Lots of white girls get weaves! ITS A NORMAL THING FOR THEM." Ya'll. Chill. It ain't that serious.

I had to pause the video after I saw her face cus I was laughing so hard!
Da'Shawn Glover
Omg she's dope , she said the realest thing "I don't think teenagers should get them , they should learn to love themselves " and this is dope and funny to see these white women's reactions
+DEAR OLIVIA Exactly .. Embracing yourself first before doing anything to yourself should be the most important. Plopping on a weave isn't going to help you in the long run if you have self esteem issues.. All you'll do is plop on more stuff
+Summer TC yes one should embrace themselves ; I know when I was in high school all I did was wore my natural hair and I loved it cause everyone had weaves
+shay jefferson are weaves that big of a thing ? Where are you from ?
+shay jefferson same
🙌🙌🙌🙌
"and if my ass could get fatter because of the weave that would be great but i know it's not happening"
I felt that lmaooo💀
I imagine the struggle they will have taking that out.
Dang it, this girl's smart! The thing she said about the teenagers got me :) (That you have to first love what you've got, and then add something more) Jeez guys, all I said was that I like this girl!
alspet were you trying to be racist ? I mean ? How else are you supposed to describe a Fucking race. The only racist thing is when people say "YOU BLACKS, or "YOU WHITES " , or "YOU LATINOS" you need to check yourself because nobody here said that and nobody is mad about it , if you white you white if you black you black like fucking damn unless you're actually being racist Bout it
Ok, everyone shut up. I meant to say that i like her. Where do you see a problem. Alspet, I'm white btw, although i don't see any meaning in a skin color. See? I commented.

I thought she was kind of a bitch
3:53 “I LOVE my weave. This is great!” 😂
I love to see these beautiful women try something new from our beautiful culture.
The girl that is putting the weave on those girls, is slaying her own hair.. 👌🏾💗

" It was like therapy!" I'm sorry that got me😂
Weaves are universal. Women wear them everywhere, they just call them different things. We can wear and do whatever tf we want.
thank you!! it really shouldn’t be a race issue
Chris nope it's a black girl thing
Weaves are universal, yes, to only Black women. No other race of women literally sew in another race of women's hair onto their heads and walk around with it for several weeks and even months, often without even washing it until they next visit the hair salon. This unfortunate, self-hating fuckery is exclusive to Black women.
Idk why you're supporting oppression. There's nothing to be proud of when you're wearing fake hair
